      Cold boxes are used to cool mines, which can have high ambient temperatures and humidity, especially at greater depths. Reliable cooling is essential to ensure that working conditions are safe

    • @GeraldChinombe-oh7cf
      @GeraldChinombe-oh7cf 17 дней назад +2

      In mining, a "cold box" refers to an underground storage area where explosives are stored at low temperatures. This helps prevent the explosives from becoming unstable, as some materials used in mining, like dynamite, can be sensitive to temperature changes. Properly maintaining a controlled temperature in the cold box ensures the safety of miners and the effective use of explosives during blasting operations.
      Cold boxes in mining are often built with insulation and ventilation to manage humidity and temperature, preventing degradation and reducing the risk of accidental detonation.

    2:00 - that scene of people watching a giant truck move through at the end is a sad statement as to how poor, bored and unemployed this nation is that giant truck moving through brings a whole town to a standstill.

      @@kabwes.hantananga9617 I am actually a Network/Systems Engineer based in Australia, and have a very good job. Now, there are lots of mines here, especially on the West Coast, and the only heavy loads you will see on trucks are dump trucks etc, things you can't squeeze on a plane due to width. All other heavy movements are brought in piece by piece on cargo planes and re-assembled on site.

      Cheaper and faster this way than spending weeks on the road and inconveniencing other road users.
