the current coming from the dynamo is a pulsating DC current.
This pulsating DC current is changed to AC current by an inverter Circuit board.
such generator uses permanent magnet dynamo to produce high voltage and current at low speeds.
that's why these generators are much quieter, because less power is needed to run the dynamo.

Good question! Yes, inverter generators still have a Total Harmonic Distortion [THD], though the THD is typically quite low: between 1.5-3%

@@SolarSolution thanks I just got my 9000W Champion inverter and it is awesome. Measured the THD and it was 1.5 to 1.8 depending on the generator load.
