Well done mate keep going. I did F500 last year (all outdoors, the only true way!) and it was super difficult - mostly the cumulative fatigue, the weather and filthy roads but you do get a good sense of achievement at the end. I also did it with a friend which helped us both stay motivated. This year unfortunately illness has got the better of me and have had to waive the white flag.

Honestly it was super hard, I think also because it’s not far from where I live the option to bail is always there. It really makes it harder mentally and the repetition, particularly in the rain and cold, becomes increasingly depressing!! Thanks mate 🙏🤟🤟

That is an impressive mileage round r.p and a fair old elevation.Wondered why the bloke cycling towards me was no hands and holding a camera/phone .i only did 3 laps and was soaked with the mist. Good luck and you’ve only got to do that twice more!

You’re right it doesn’t really happen, I think it’s because there are so many cyclists so maybe you’d end up having to constantly say hello every 20 or 30 seconds. Is a shame though there’s deffo some who would never say hello regardless of where they are, I’d always try to avoid that crowd to be honest haha. It is a good place to ride though you should try it one day 👍
Really interesting question that, I’ve wrestled with it a few times to be honest. I think the challenge for me personally is more about fighting the urge to just not partake or quit because that’s what the mind encourages particularly during the cold, wet, dark festive week. So I wanted to fight the mind a little bit and prove that I’m capable. It actually feels really good when you hit the target too!! You can see I’ve pondered this one hahahaha. 500 in a day I would try but deffo not in the winter in the uk, maybe in summer?
@ amazing response, totally get it now, probably why I suggested 500 in one as that would be a battle physically and mentally but suit my need to just get it done. Summer vs winter, either way a big achievement don’t you think? :-)
