R8: I loved the new, stripped back intro (although I’m still in two minds about changing it’s original tempo/BPM). The faster beat does give it an interesting twist though. Everything else is delicious with the added production giving it a unique take on this classic which was a big hit across most of Europe. Donna is still as relevant today with her legacy. This is my all-time favorite Donna Summer song. I had no idea she shot a video for it. I also did not know this remix existed. This is a very decent job! The All-Star Choir on this song featuring Lionel Richie, Dionne Warwick, Michael Jackson, and Stevie Wonder, with Eric Clapton on guitar, to name a very few, assembled by Quincy Jones, was the seed that eventually grew into the idea for "We Are The World."
@cmf4321 The original is by Jon and Vangelis and was written in 81. Donna covered it in 82 so there is no way it would've played in a 70's disco. That aside you're right. her original cover is gold!

Sheesh... the song is about higher love... practice that please and appreciate that we have artists that explore and re-create...

Nothing like ruining a great song with today's lower standards of what music is. This is insulting. No one would have bought this record if this was the way it was recorded. And NO 70's disco would have played this crap. This song is UNBELIEVABLE the way it was originally recorded.
