Hey guys, this guide is over a year old so some of the methods may not be viable anymore. However, for newer players, I have very recently created a 3 part series called "Escaping F2P" which covers a bunch of different money making methods for f2p, all of which are more up to date with more accurate information than this video here.
Check out Part 1 of Escaping F2P here: ruclips.net/video/rrObUXC2Y8A/видео.html

Your video defeats its own purpose. You call this a guide for the 'absolute beginners' and yet its funny how you expect these newbies to know exactly the G.E Location, where to start Quests, and where the mining spots are. If the player knew this much about runescape, in my opinion they would no longer be considered an absolute beginner. So once again, your video is irrelevant and useless. The purpose of my comments aren't to hurt any feelings, I just say shit like it is. My suggestion is you, teach people how to get to these locations, before explaining how to go about questing and making money.

maybe an important note for beginners (haven't watched full video yet, so don't know if you touch up on it later), but he bought full rune trimmed gold, which is quite a lot more expensive than normal rune armour, but the trim is purely cosmetic and doesn't make it stronger. So just buying a normal rune set is good too, so with that money you even have MORE than more than enough money for all the f2p stuff :)
Love watching the video by the way! Really nostalgic for some reason. I think because I used to mine all the time in my early f2p runescape days. I would mine 2000 coal in the mining guild (of which I remember I was sooo proud when I could finally enter it lol) and then 1000 iron and smelt them all into steel bars. I'd then sell those for 500-550ea at falador park and then repeat the process to slowly save up so I could buy saradomin rune armor which was a couple mil back then. Aww man good times... Thanks for bringing those memories back!

Why do we come back? I had so much fun with this game a long time ago, it wasn't about making money or being the best, everything was just amazing to be a part of. I don't know if its nostalgia, but I feel the need to rebuild my long forgotten character, to honor those good old days with friends I no longer hear from. I'm so busy these days this will take a long time, but I feel like it must be done. One final big quest. Thank you for making these amazing tutorials and improving the journey.

@@Kris-im8bn damn it's been that long? It went well! I feel like I got to rebuild that character. One of the things that hurt the most was that my old name was taken, and my OG account lost, so that's part of the reason I started a new character. Some time ago, after a few requests, I got my old name back! Of all the things I got to do, reclaiming my name felt the most emotional. Right now I'm taking a break, got all the quests I wanted done, got the gear and skills I wanted as a kid (also felt like it was time to grind xp IRL). The moment I felt like I beat the "mission" was when I finally walked through the members only gates outside Falador. As a f2p kid, they were like this impossible thing to open, and I only imagined what laid on the other side. Ramble over haha, thanks for asking!

Literally the most helpful video I have ever seen, no exxageration, I've been looking up guides all day Because I just got into runescape around 3 days ago and every guide is way too confusing and they always expect brand new players to know where a location is so they'll just say the name and not show where it is and then they'll tell us to get a bunch of items without telling us why and it's been troubling but this was the first clean cut clear guide to early gp making.
See, I've been having a blast playing it blindly with no help so far but was unsure if I was doing things wrong or inefficient and I really was making gold super slowly, gonna hop on today after work and use the info you have here and hopefully make some quick gp and have loads of fun, thank you.

There are always 10-20 bots at mining spots, and zammy wines are botted/ camped by pkers same goes for nats. I havent been to the mining guild but i presume its just as bad .
Best way to make honest cash without flipping etc is get 40 fishing or 45 wc. Do dragon slayer (only need 40 attk and 30 in str/def) then do the corsiar cove quest. The resource area at the cove is never botted and near a bank , has 4 lobby/swordfish spots, 4 Maple trees to train to 60 wc quickly and 3 yew trees to make cash .

Easy but tedious money. You have to be 18 hours old to sell cowhide, so you have 18 hours to farm cowhide. It sells for around 140 per. So yeah...
I managed to get 6 full inventories per hour walking and without much competition for the hides. Say you run 6x28 for 8 hours, that's 1,344. 1,344 for 120GP is 161,280. It's tedious as all hell, but consistent. If you buy membership, spinning flax into bow strings has one hell of a turnaround. 4GP for the flax sell the string for about 120.
    Super grindy, but it pays.

There's just one small thing that you didn't mention, about when you get to level 41 mining and get the rune pickaxe. Whenever you get the rune pickaxe, you will also need about level 40 attack to be able to wield it. But yes, mining and selling copper and selling cow hide as well will help you get a good amount of gold. Also mining for rune essence,(after completing the rune mysteries quest) will also help you gain a lot of gp as well, after collecting a good amount of rune essence. Yes, I'm well aware this video is at least about a year old and there have been a few updates that have been added. But I have to say overall, this guide looks very helpful, and anybody can do this. I'm an experienced Runescape player, I joined back in 2007 and playing this on mobile is very fun in my opinion. I love to be back on Runescape and having a chance to be playing this again.

    good tip when doing cows
do prince ali resque. this removes the 10 gold fee needed :D saving a hefty amount of cash in the long run.

also always train attack first. never above 40. then strength to like 20ish then just get defense to 40 as a newbie u will never need defense above 30 trust me... it wears adamant the second best armour and training to 40 early on is useless as u cant wear rune body yet. also once u notice u donnt need armour at around 20 for cows. dont wear armour anymore. weight means less running.

even more nagging dont use lobsters when not doing melee combat. just fucking buy a wine. it heals nearly the same costs only 3 gold. instead of 150. and the one downside is -2 attack for a minute.

Daaang first vid I found that actually helped. Most I've watched always oh you can flip this this this and this in the GE and you can buy a bond or you can kill this sell it to this talk to this run around the world in less than 2 days and sell your organs to the black market and then you can buy a bond.

      @Dicerz  4 года назад +1

Hahaha i'm glad it helped. I also have a 3 part series with more advice called "how to get membership without paying $11" and people seem to find that useful. I'm also working on how to maintain membership with bonds once you become a member :)

Just started playing osrs about a week ago. Got around 4000 gold just from smithing and thought I'd buy a fancy sword.
The most important part of farming gold is knowing how to spend your money. Still can't use the sword.

Hello there. I was wondering why you are lowering the price on the stuff you are selling and raising the price on the stuff you are buying on the GE. I don't quite know how it all works. I've just started playing OSRC again after 8 years or so. I am following this guide of yours and I just hit 41 in mining. I took another path though, cause I mined tin also to make bronze bars, because the price on 1 bronze bar is higher than 2 copper ores, therefor the more money i can make AND skilling my smithing as well. I am so excited to get to the crafting part, that seemed awesome. Although an old video and a long post, I hope you find your way to give a good answer/feedback. Have a good day!

5:58 I had the urge to smash my face against my desk hearing that. I always sold my big stacks of wood individually buy withdrawing all my wood into my inventory until it was full and sold it all and went back to the bank to withdraw more and went back to the exchange. I didn’t know you could just get a note if all the items you want to sell granted I only played for 3 hours so far, but wow I already wasted alot of time going back and forth from the exchange and the bank and all I needed was to take one note and be done with it.😂 that’s so painful and noobish

if you slow sell enough gold ore at a 10 gp margin the prices will drive upwards towards your goal price... works better with medium traded items as opposed to say rarely traded items like red dragonhide shields
