One of my most nostalgic memories was fighting and accidentally dying against some bigger skeleton in in the Varrock sewers. Lost some stuff, went back to get them and a guy traded me. Turns out he took the stuff I dropped and held it for me, waiting for me to come back. Such a nice person, that was way before the death mechanics we have nowadays.
I remember dying to Graardor in 2012 EOC. There was a bug on the website client at the time causing a white screen disconnect. Logged back in and 3 people were laughing at how I sucked and thanks for the free bandos (including my gloves drop). Another time in 2013 I died to commander zilyana saw the person take my virtus off the ground and they claimed they didn't see it.
@@NonsensicalSpudz Yeah, graves where not even a thing back then and you just dropped your stuff on the ground. I remember when they introduced graves, one of my goals was to get 70 prayer so I could "bless them". That would add an entire hour to them, was a nice way of being able to help others. Nowadays, you have both graves as well as death's office. Only time you really risk losing something is by getting killed by a player. @GameWithAdam damn, that sucks. even if bandos isn't "super expensive", still quite allot of gold.
Decided that I would finally try Bryophyta, had gathered over 70 keys from moss giants. Had some really good luck in the beginning, got a essence drop after the first six kills. Short time later, got a second essence drop. With the random rune items added, had a bit over 13m in loot from my 75ish Mossy keys. Actually got out of f2p through bryophyta, the keys aren't too hard to get in the wilderness. Bring full rune (with chainbody) and green dhide with maple shortbow and some arrows in case you get attacked. If you keep at least half inventory of food and got prayer left, nobody is going to be able to pk you - just equip green d'hide and fight back with range to make them eat, while trying to run away to lower level wilderness when unfrozen.
Was doing that earlier this week, but with no PK gear. I just calmly walked away between binds and asked the pker to TB me. He obliged but I still walked in to Ferrox, as did he. He then escorted me back to the moss giants before hopping worlds. Nice fellow.
if moss giant dropped keys as frequently as hill giants, then maybe it wouldnt be so bad, I used cannon moss giants next to the boss door for range exp and ocassion bryophyta fight on the side, the essence was actually my first big drop in the game
i've been fighting these moss giants for all of my combat xp levels ever since the essence became available in f2p. Im up to around 60 bryophita kills so far. hopefully i can getr the essence soon! :D

Ive played rs since classic and vividly remember the painful switch to rs2 which i eventuallly grew to like better than rsc. Still have my OG character stuck in rs3 whos up for a 20 year cape anyday now. Nowadays with bond prices n such i feel bad for the new people trying to get out of f2p like i did a few years ago without spending rl money. That was one of the funner times ive had in osrs from starting back on it since mobile release as it was very nostalgic going through all the f2p stuff again for a few months. Eventually i got my stats to a decent place, done all the quests and made 3m for a bond by merchanting as thats the least painful way of escaping the eventual f2p prison of horrible money making methods. It wouldnt be so bad amd easier to make money as a f2p if skilling items werent so cheap now. First week of members i got a 7m dagon hai robe piece from my very first wildy slayer chest which solidified my stay in members without paying any irl money and i never looked back. Members was largely new to me cuz as a nooby kid and no bond system i didnt get around to seeing most of the content. I got to experience all the members content for the first time, started making alot of money and got my character more levels and money than ive ever had, did my first boss fights, got my first ever 99s in first cooking then strength, made it to level 115 with 100m and almost every stat except runecrafting to 70 or above all on mobile while paying gp for bonds. Im happy it got a mobile port that allowed me to experience all this again. Good times, i havent played in awhile been taking a long break but i might just log in for a few today. I've been playing since around 2004 or early 2005 (I was definitely playing by then because that was my last year in primary school, but I can't remember if I had been playing for a year or less by then) Unfortunately, my current account wad only made in March 2007. I don't remember what my first one was called anymore.
Mate so I have my f2p HCIM and after killing obor 10 times I've failed twice cuz of running out food with melee. I like mage set up with your best dps spell and snare, it's a lot easier once you get the mechanic down of snaring and running away. I use fire blast and prayer flick mystic might and sometimes use very little food with some luck. I got my runekite shield and I'm after his club. He can drop 50 noted big bones. If I get bored, I'll go to ogress'.
Honestly back when I was f2p I did a few obor and actually got the hammer or however called and was worth almost a million at the time so that was huge for me. Now I’m paid and killing zulrah and toa getting lots of money haha
When grinding moss giants I bring a fire staff and nature runes so I can high alch any items that are worth alching, but not running back to bank. Using this method makes decent cash and keeps you at the moss giants longer
They are definitely worth it. For people training on moss giants and collecting mossy Keys. Those bosses can drop full rune and also byros essence is worth a huge chunk.
For fighting mossies in the wildy, I take three pieces of equipment and 2/3 and inventory of food so the rare pker gets nothing worthwhile and I lose almost nothing bc I steal swordfish from pvp worlds
I am the lucky bastard who got the essence drop on the 3rd try, which actually gave me my 2nd bond as i was still leveling up before going membership. And today i gonna pop it with 2 other bonds that i got from being a pretty diligent alchemist by trying to hi-alch from GE every 4 hours.
If you go to members, Moss Giants become more worth it soley for the snapegrass, ranaar, and snapdragon seeds. If I do a key run, I'm looking at a decent stack in seeds every time I bank/get more cannonballs
Now this is the kinda content I love for f2p. Would love to see one about beginner clue hunting now. Also, for the Moss Giants, you can add in the big bones you're burying into the calculation of GP, since it is a money sink even as a member. -- For the sewer: 151 kills = 2265 exp in 2:10, 1038 xp/hr. Dragon Bones are 2560gp each, gives 252 xp at a gilded altar, so ~10gp/xp. Multiply by 1038 xp/hr, about 10.5k gp/hr saved on that skill. Still only 61.5k/hr if you include this ridiculous calculation to the end result lol. -- For the Wildy: 60 kills in 40 minutes = 90/hr, 1350 prayer exp/hr, or an extra 13,500gp/hr saved from offering dragon bones at a gilded altar, meaning over 120k/hr.
idk when u did ur recording, but whenever i went to hunt for moss giant keys there has always been someone there, even if i start alone i would quickly find myself with at least 3 people
You can in fact craft jewellery on multiple accounts to fund a bond easily. Jagex allows you to play as many accounts as you can handle as long as all inputs are from you and crafting jewellery is fairly low input. As of this message bonds are 6.7m and crafting ruby necklaces requires only 34 crafting and nets over 220k profit per hour on one account would be about 30.5 hours to a bond. On four accounts which can be easily done is under 8 hours which you can also work up more gp to give yourself a head start in members, this may not be for everyone but it does work and you can use lower tier jewellery if needed it would just take a little longer. So lets say you do it and you're not really super focusing on 3 accounts with dicerz videos playing in the background earning about 180k per hour on each account for a week and maybe 4 hours a day with 2 days not playing, this would net you 2.16m at the end of those 4 hours and 10.8m after 5 days of doing it in a week. 10.8m would net you a bond, with the remaining gp you can fund quests and gear upgrades in members with gp to spare. Hope this helps any f2p players get a bond.
Been stuck on f2p a couple times, because I forgot to leave a few mil in coins before taking a break. In my experience it's way easier to make money for a bond using alternative methods, rather than killing the f2p bosses.
@@muzzypwnyou for sure it is. the only time smithing good would be if u a member and make those bars if u did the dwarf quest. or when u get to like 88 smithing at least but thats a long time. anyways yea my bad. and I do agree. I would say its the 2nd worst f2p skill. and first would be rc

My friends just started playing and are going for all the bis equipment before moving to members. They are currently missing only the brypphyta essence
Moss giant and Hill giant is good money making if you have time, kill the bosses and do the beginner clues, do the clues to maximize your revenue you might get a 400k casket!
moss giant f2p boss would be better if they improve the drop rates and mabe a boss pet? or a weapon that can damage it even when it summons minions or mabe make it less rng. also if lets say u have high enough agility level and can use pipe even if f2p. u should be able to use it. that way u can easily get to it very fast. and a bonus mabe if no... I would love kebab shops to be buy 28 of them instead of this one at a time thing...

10:40 Haha yeah Diamond Necklaces are still the best money maker in F2P to date. People claim High Alching is but that's a straight up lie because nobody takes into account the buy limits and how long you have to wait for those to be reset.

I’m a newer player I’ve been playing on and off for like a year and a half and the moss giant boss is the first and only boss I killed idk they could drop Ranarr seeds for 50k and that was pretty good at the time
I've never actually killed either giant boss before, despite having both keys sitting in my bank for years. For some reason I just never got around to it. This video has inspired me to finally go and do both of them.

Honestly back when I was f2p I did a few obor and actually got the hammer or however called and was worth almost a million at the time so that was huge for me. Now I’m paid and killing zulrah and toa getting lots of money haha
I just did obor last week it was nostalgic to kill hill giants even though now I shred them in 2-3 hits most of the time now 😅
When grinding moss giants I bring a fire staff and nature runes so I can high alch any items that are worth alching, but not running back to bank. Using this method makes decent cash and keeps you at the moss giants longer
I have no idea but I just love these f2p videos
This video is very engaging so I am commenting to engage further. #engagement
Engagement is a commitment, It shows your honour
They are definitely worth it. For people training on moss giants and collecting mossy Keys. Those bosses can drop full rune and also byros essence is worth a huge chunk.
As a f2p ironman killing obor is worth it. Since its the only way you can get that rune kite shield
you can safe spot moss giants with magic and they are very weak against magic so if you want to kill moss giants mage is the way to go
I'm pretty sure killing Ogress with addy arrows is the best GP on f2p
Merch
I'm at 80 KC myself. Stoked to get that green log one day lol.
This was a really fun video. Instant sub :)
For non Ironmen you can actually get the god rune armor which has some extra prayer bonus compared to normal rune.
The moss 1 is the only 1 worth it because the staff = almost a bond 😑
idk when u did ur recording, but whenever i went to hunt for moss giant keys there has always been someone there, even if i start alone i would quickly find myself with at least 3 people
Very recently!
Moss giants are also good ranged xp (although ogresses could be a better combination of money/ranged training)
I think jagex should add some better gear/weapons for f2p but make them an untradeable drop from a new boss so it can't be farmed to death.
The purple mace is slightly better than a rune scimitar but takes forever to grind and isn't at all worth it
Love the series! Carry it on into members?
Used to kill moss giants back in the day and high alch the black shields.
Been stuck on f2p a couple times, because I forgot to leave a few mil in coins before taking a break. In my experience it's way easier to make money for a bond using alternative methods, rather than killing the f2p bosses.
I lost NNN to Obor
Who didn't brother.
Pin this one dude
I did not even knew we had bosses in free to play
Your accent is legendary! Love it! Great content too.
Thanks! 😃
Don’t forget chainbody is better than platebody against Moss Giants ;)
Bro thinks me and the f2p boys didn't use corsair cove resource area all day
When Easy Clue Scrolls came out , it was pretty easy to go members from f2p , dont know about that these days tho
Babe wakeup, new dicerz upload
Obor is goated for ironmen in F2P. Only way to get multiple BIS items.
Or just level to the 90s in smithing 😂 super ez I swear
If you have a fat stack of keys from grinding hill giants, it's absolutely worth using them on Obor. If you don't have keys though, just do ogresses.
@@muzzypwnyou not easy if u are f2p for a long time lol. otherwise it gets expensive. unless u want to do make silver bars for cash lol
@@ladyriethegoldendelmo5441 brother, it was a joke. Smithing grind is terrible
I've been watching runescape on youtube for about 3 years now and have never seen the moss giant area and boss
One day when my members had ran out and I didn't want to full commit to another 2 weeks+ with another bond, I decided to play around in F2P. So I took my butt over to Wildy to kill some moss giants and got a few mossy keys. Low and behold, I got lucky and got a Bryo essence.
My friends just started playing and are going for all the bis equipment before moving to members. They are currently missing only the brypphyta essence
The essence can't be equipped. I'd tell them to move on instead of slowing down their progress.
can you plz turn the f2p series into a noobie member playthru, im a noob and i think itd be cool to see what you do and way
Verf has one
DO NOT use an axe to kill the saplings..... Use secateurs... They can be left clicked from inv without equipping. No need to right click.
they might not be worth it but they are pretty fun to do
Need more vids😫 I love them!
I've made like 500!
The "Appropriate outfit" walk carrying a fox got me laughing like an idiot.
But have you considered the people who farm Obor because they just plain want a big beating stick?
Cant argue with that really
awe man watching you fight obar with no runes to tp out gives me mad anxiety!
I had no idea there were even bosses in f2p >.> just started up again last week after not playing since 2007 lol. Finished up the f2p quests, guess I have something to do now other than flip auctions.
10:40 Haha yeah Diamond Necklaces are still the best money maker in F2P to date. People claim High Alching is but that's a straight up lie because nobody takes into account the buy limits and how long you have to wait for those to be reset.
Welcome back ;)
When i was newer (p2p but a noob) i killed brypptha like 4 times and got bryophta's essence 2 of those kills. Got like 14mil and set myself up for a nice RS experince lol
it was nice of jagex to add mr mammal as a boss ( if you know you know)
I’m a newer player I’ve been playing on and off for like a year and a half and the moss giant boss is the first and only boss I killed idk they could drop Ranarr seeds for 50k and that was pretty good at the time
I've never actually killed either giant boss before, despite having both keys sitting in my bank for years. For some reason I just never got around to it.
This video has inspired me to finally go and do both of them.
I had like 18 keys before I stopped training on hill giants. I was there a long time
as someone that did base 70-99 in f2p & have 65 f2p obor kills & got spooked club at like 13 (did hill to try pray really)
sadly when i did this bry ess was not F2p so i just saved any moss keys i got & when i finally went mem i got the 6mil drop in 2 kc XD
if you really are f2p trying to pvm to bond i'd do moss & bank on ess. but bonds are over 9mil now sooooooo meh
f2p was great tho.
Hey, I use that resource area in Corsair Cove all the time 😂
Moss Giant boss should give the growthlings as a pet imo
I didn’t even know about these two bosses in free to play
Looks like i will be doing this since i can't pay for my membership for a few days/week because of technical problems with my bank.
Great vid keep it up
I paid millions to train my range up on my pure cannoning hill giants in mems and got over 500 keys so hopefully I can get some of that money back after my membership ends
