There's a lot of parallels between the Foundation and these versions on the Mekhanitea and Daevites, but my favourite is the foundation not even blinking at the Daevites having a large slave empire just like: "oh cool, you had D-class too?"
What's next, an ancient take on the MTFs?
@@michaelandreipalon359 Lmao sounds like that expedition the empress mentioned
Didn't she say they all died? 😂
@@michaelandreipalon359 that'll be the Sarkic chapter. Was joking but rebellious faction(back in the broken god part), the rejecting of magic and technology (aside from what they use), inevitable chaotic leadership changes, things going horribly, horribly wrong at in the name of a goal. The heavy task is getting something Sarkic to tell a story.
Honestly, each civilization also seems to be inspired by the ideas of the real world- or in this case, they inspire the religions afterwards.
The Mekhanites seem to have a theme of all around Judaism and the religions that rose from the Middle East, with the angelic wings, a common theme of gold, and an order based society.
Here, this seems to take inspiration from Hinduism, with a focus on the soul, cycles of life and death, a connection with nature, and song and dance.
I love how this proposal re-contextualizes the Scarlet King as something that isn’t pure evil, but as a neutral being, representing nature and the primal world, both the good, as the old world was far more vibrant, and we expressed celebration in a way that this ordered modern life does not, and the bad, with all the morally evil things that were seen as normal back then.
When the circle as representation of Wretch was mentioned, part of me expected it to be what Wretch is not. "We don't know much about scp 55, but it is not a sphere"
Five parts and scp 55. Sounds a little 5ithist.
ohhh
@@dubiouspissdrinker Yeah, sadly, no, seems to be Black Moon Howling instead
@@nyekomimi my thoughts exactly but i think this abominate and the Black Star is the origin story of the Foundation. This ancient predecessor of the foundation made a deal with the Black Moon to bring up the veil to end the abnormal civilizations… and now the Foundation in a foolish attempt to prepare for there own return seeks these old civilizations for a power to stand against it only to revive each of them…
Compiling all of these parts would be an audiobook at this point
That's why this channel has compilation vids.
Imagine if he laid it out like how Un[REDACTED] does some tale arcs. Namely like how he put together the 55555 series, including 3125. I imagine this all being laid out like a full reading would be rather amazing.
Including amoni ram
Maybe if I beg they'll do it
@@chasefrost1401 Un[REDACTED] is producing a big reading of Amoni-Ram, actually! I’m going to be cameoing, it’s fun
Rounderhouse is one hellva world builder and story teller. He and Djkaktus are by far my favorite SCP authors.
same, they're building their own canons by themselves, on the same level as canons like Resurrection, which takes a hell of a lot of work to do by your own.
I honestly hate this cannon. Why try and martyr the very clearly evil matriarchal slaver mages? Why make the people who have always been thr absolute worst humans civilization into this misunderstood and innocent difference species. So stupid
@@sond.lollipop8919 It certainly comes across that way here, but give the article a read yourself. It does a very good job at still making the Daevites look like an awful culture and condemning their acts.
@@niteninjas3091 I have and I just cannot get into it. This cannon is trying so hard to make the deiva into this sympathetic people who just did things differently by choice but yet at thr same time make the macanites into these soulless evil people destroying nature just by existing when all they wanna do is help humanity.
@@niteninjas3091 they barley pass over thr mention that most slaves sacrificed were children but yet go on and on how the metal the macanites use and what they do to their bodies is so horrible and goes against nature is just so hypocritical of thr author
I actually quite like the idea that this version of the Daevites worship the Scarlet King. I like the older version as well but I'm interested to see where this goes.
This is proving one of the more compelling tales of the SCP
If i'm nit picky it kinda lands pretty hard on its notes though. Like, it foreshadows hard.
It's up there with SCP 4812, 4840, 6666 and 6765
Honestly I really don’t like Thai one at all. I’m so sick of them trying so hard to rewrite and change established lore and history with these certain groups. Now all of a sudden thr very clearly evil matriarchal slavers and human sacrificing mage society are now just a Misunderstood people who just want to live their way and thr very clearly good mecanites who wanted to help humanity are now the bad ones attacking everyone. So ducking stupid
I love man made horrors beyond my comprehension
Safety, Power, Control. Secure, Contain, Protect. The dark moon the black star prayed to. The black moon that howls for the foundation. Struggling for life without caring for morality. Saving the world no matter the cost.
Guys I um think abominate is the foundation.
:O
Does this mean that the Ethics Committee is an apostasy within the Foundation… Hmmm…
At the end of the article, the head Doctor is shown the Foundation symbol as the 3-pronged army
Cool theory. I guess we’ll see soon.
I'm sensing that after Amoni-ram and Mamjul and Korar, we might visit Black Aditum and get more information on the Abominate and the Black Star there
This is one of my favorite canons, right up there with the kaktusverse
Honestly the description of the 4 different gods and their societies started giving me major Inscryption vibes lol.
Nature
Technology
Necromancy
And the bending of reality
Nature, Technology, Flesh, and Entropy
oh shit lmao didn’t expect a reading of INTERREGNUM in the middle of this. thank you, hope everyone is enjoying this disaster saga!
its AMAZINGF
Thanks for the story I really been enjoying it, SCP, 40K Warhammer, creepypastas, history and mythology, all of them have allowed me and I'm pretty sure many of others, to unplug from some of the stupid s*** that's been happening in the world, thanks again for such an incredible story 👏👏👏.
Dude, your world building in these tales is immaculate. It’s a wild ride so far.
You haven't even reached my favorite GOI, but I am loving this!
Can't wait for the Nälkä (hunger) chapter of this Foundation World History canon.
The black moon could be Adam-El-Assem and the black star might just be the first Administrator/Overseer making the abominate basically the origin of the foundation.
The Foundation is all about order and preventing too much death though, while this black moon/star thing seems all about struggle, chaos, and violence.
Now that I read your comment, I think the "First Sin" mentioned probably be Cain killing his brother Abel. The Black Star could be either Cain or Abel. The Black Moon in this case being an allegory to the biblical "serpent", orchestrating the First Sin during a time when humanity was hands off for the gods.
They reveal later on that the BLACKSTARS army was called the “Three Pronged Army”
Spoiler
Where have we seen three prongs before?
*The Foundation’s Logo*
BLACKSTAR *is* the Foundation.
The black star is the administrator, no idea on the black moon yet
Why?
been having some intense ptsd dreams as of late, not sure why but your long readings of SCPs and HPL have helped me greatly in reducing the frequency of the nightmares. thank you for making getting to sleep easier and less scary haha
PTSD ain't fun and I wish you the best mate. And horror readings are weirdly relaxing for a lot of people. It helps with my anxiety too.
@@Siegmernes it’s been said that good horror comforts the disturbed and disturbs the comfortable.
The Foundation: discovers literal Atlantis
Also The Foundation: lol didn't really discover all that much
Thank you sir, us sleepless souls really need your storytelling in these wee hours of the night.
Dont forget to brush your teeth Good night
God I'm almost 30 and I can't sleep without him putting me to sleep
There's gonna be a part four after three separate hour long(ish) parts?! Holy crap
And a part five.
...Kriff, it's really that long.
@@TheExploringSeries...mother of God.
@@Hugh_Amungus There's 5 Acts, so it makes sense
@@TheExploringSeries excellent I am so hungry for more of this
A favorite of my night to hear the stories of time gone by coming to the present
*narrows eyes suspiciously at the addendum* Does.. does the black moon howl?
Yes, but not when called out in public
*OH BOY! IT’S 3AM!!*
These secret history scps are amazing.
The REDTAPE series is genuinely one of my favorite article series in the modern SCP mythos, right up there with the Kaktusverse and ADMONITION. Awesome narration as always; I can't wait to see the remaining two parts in the next few weeks!
The remaining what now?! We get 2 more of these incredible works of art? The writing just comes to life on this channel, this one has been top tier
@@ethanwagner yup! 2 more. I couldn't wait so I read the whole thing and it's a doozy.
I mainly consume SCP via Exploring, but I loved the djkaktusverse so much that I looked up his other work. I too am really enjoying this series and can’t wait to hear the next chapter. Your comment on Admonition has piqued my interest. Has this channel covered Admonition before? If so, or indeed if not, what SCP’s do you think I should start with to begin Admonition? Ty.
@@peterdunlop7691 I believe, yes(Admonition I mean). It begins with Termination Attempt and then Chaos Theory. Then Metagnostic and then The Eight(?) Commandment.
@@fibonaccicats7179 thanks. I looked it up and then immediately remembered. Great story.
The world needs more 3-part Exploring Series! And I haven't said this yet, but welcome back!
And we're not even close to done yet; there are still two more installments to go of comparable length.
@@christopherhale3140 I'm excited and looking forward to the next 2 parts.
The SCP Fans & Enjoyers who are too lazy to read the wiki to the existence of Mangg:
HE IS THE MESSIAH!!!
This and Amoni-Rom are awesome. I wonder though, if all of these SCP-001's could fit together and the perspective of the start of The Foundation/civilization is simply dependent on where you or a character comes into the series.
Love it. Only part that broke any kind of immersion by sheer force of ontological incredulity was when it implied, Anthropologists having well paid, meaningful jobs.
Just not believable.
@Telegrxm..The_Exploring_Series sure, sure....
The artwork really suits how the story progresses, this is definitely up there with orobos tale
When you see the GOAT casually dropping bangers at 3am right after a well deserved break 👀
Lmao at FMS, foundation's majesty's ship
Getting closer to the 50min mark makes it a little easy to guess what the abominate is. Particularly the black star portion.
foundation multipurpose ship, for the record - but lmao, that is funny
I totally forgot to say these have been AMAZING especially having Lord Blackwood. Him and Murphy Law are my downright favorite characters. And I can never get enough!
I was about to talk to a girl today, but then I remembered that I’m still that same guy who listened to a 4+ hour long SCP video and listened intently to (and enjoyed) every second of it.
I have a theory that Blackstar is the administrator and the wretched is the black moon
I have a theory of who The Abominant is: SCP-1915 entity from the tale The Stars Do Not Wait For You. The hints about Black Star and the entity being able to turn everything into sand is giving the hint that this is indeed the Absence aka Abominant aka Black Star
If the abominant is the Absence they're in for ride of disgrace
That said I don't think it would be, the Abominant is largely presented as a hate filled and vengeful power that wants to topple any type of order defined by the god trio, while the Absence is just and uncaring and unrelenting void that nothing can stop
these are so nice. Im happy you let us listen for free
Amazing timing for the late night need for sppoks
"Babe! TES released a new Mamjul & Korar video!"
i pride myself in being one of the first 1000 views every late Sunday/ early Monday
So it looks like the Black Star serves the Black Moon.
Something tells me that when the Foundation inevitably encounters the Sarkites of Adytum & their secrets, all three factions’ powers will need to be united for when the Abominant howls.
So happy that you are back! Makes me look forward to Mondays again
I have to say that's the 1st time I've ever heard anyone use a quote from Jurassic Park Other than life finds a way. Pretty slick, and welcome back!!! I'm glad I can get my SCP story time fix before I fall asleep lol.
I havent finished part one yet, but when i do, ill be here (after part 2 of course). Thank you again for another great video!! ♥️
Oh my gosh. Part3!!!
I am so happy to hear this🤸♀️🤸♂️
Prediction: the Abominant is The Black Moon
I can finally slumber, thank you Exploring Series :)
I always know that the first hour or so of every Monday morning shift is going to be pleasant, I really appreciate having awesome content hot and fresh, ready to start a work week right. Like a sonic bakery
Loving this series!
Jeez dude I have to start at part 1 every new part you are lucky you're voice is so soothing mr exploringseries.
I put your videos on every night to fall asleep to, and this series has put me to sleep faster than any other, so thank you 😅
54:50 damn, the MTF guy is quite the badass.
This is ending in Galanis writing Chronicles of the Daeva, isn’t it?
Every time you post it’s like Christmas all over again lol ❤
Ah yes the four great enemies: the Sarkites, the Daevites, the Mekanites, and David Bowie.
Anyone else glance sideways at the Scarlet King every time the verses mention, "The Scarlet?" Because I sure do.
Wait. Thrown into the sea forever. From the west. Black star. Sir Blackwood? (Wild speculation but eventually someone is going to explain why he's a seaslug)
I am loving these longer videos, i can slap on while working or gaming, the stories are great and expertly narrated. I havnt enjoyed a series like this since "what happened to site 13"
This story is really good at humanizing the Daevites without giving them a pass for the bad things they did. But the foundation can't exactly judge them for the whole slavery thing, now can they? I really love this story and the previous one.
"Kill in the name of..." lol that's a clever spot to put a reference to a song. Rage Against The machine, baby.
ONG part 4!? Yay.
Ngl, the part about the war itself legit made me tear up.
Ngl seeing that you’ve got a new upload has become a highlight of my life
I have been waiting for this can’t wait to listen to this story
Bravo, great work from all involved! The stuff of great legends probably outlive our own civilisation.
Yes back from the gym and now have a new TES good times
This story is just incredible in how it's developing. I'm thoroughly impressed. Rounderhouse is definitely up there as one of the best. If prople like this published normal novels, I think they could do very well.
Can't wait for the next part and when this is all done a complete story 🙌
This is now my favorite SCP
I am once again asking for gamers against weed
Best GoI ever.
Yesssss, thank you so much 💜
Thank you for your work m8 these videos help so much with my insomia
Said no actual insomniac ever.
So the fourth God is the Black Moon, or did I get something wrong...???
Anyways this SCP-001 entry is the most compelling and interesting I have heard so far... I like, that it doesn't Portrait the Daevites as a simple bloodthirsty abomination, but as a species of rich culture, magnificient knowledge and thaumaturgic superiority... Great article and, as allways, great representation and reading ... allways a good Start of the week when it starts with the exploring Series...
Imagine being in an Astral plane-based civilization and still being a slave.
My god, what a fucking imagination to create something like this. I feel so fortunate that we’re able to read/hear a story this detailed and thought out as this for free.
Killer work as always 👍
I'm really enjoying this canon. Moreso than I thought I would.
This just got posted 13 seconds ago for me and theirs 2 day old comments , but ay good timing I was just about to pick a vid to sleep to
Patreon release in a nutshell.
From all these stuff about the Abominant and it's prophet I wonder if it's the Black Moon
perfect timing
Yay just in time
Well done!
Where be Lord Blackwood? I hope he wasn't just used as a plot device and then tossed back into his enclosure to do sluggy things lol
Oh damn, are we gonna get a huge Adytum story soon? Please say yes, I love my Nalka.
Rounderhouse just hitting it with this series
Holy crap it's a four-parter.
Okay, so the Scarlet is almost certainly the Scarlet King-- the same title, the association with brutality and social darwinism, the Brides, all that's missing is the thematics around the number seven.
The Abominate, though, I'm still unsure about. Others have fielded the possibility of the Hanged King, the God-Shaped Hole in Alagadda; this would fit the three cities model, being the fourth city for the fourth god, but there hasn't really been anything else to indicate a connection between the two.
One potential critique I have, though, is that I don't quite get the difference in philosophy between the Scarlet and the Abominate. The Scarlet represents survival of the fittest, the Abominate declares "survival is the only law." Everything else seems to be trying to paint the Abomination as the worst of the four gods, as something entirely different, but its guiding philosophy seems to be exactly the same as the Scarlet. Heck, IIRC, it's not that different from the basics of Nalka thought, either. So it makes it seem as if the Abominate being set apart as this heretical, terrible thing aside from the other gods is just an arbitrary distinction.
So awesome
So, this fourth threat is, what, an SCP twist on Lovecraftian entities... if not the Black Moon?
Well, two more parts to go.
Same, that's also the only fourth deity I can think of that would fit
Maybe the engine
@@roseopheliashepherd8379 I was also thinking it could be related to Fifthism, maybe? The Fifthists are usually treated like Lovecraft after all. Obviously the mention of a "black star" kinda points to the Black Moon, but still
@@WD_Gaster66 what's there all-destroying entity called again? It does have its own canon of god's I recall, it's an anonymous religion which would fit with the mechanites, sarkites and deavites. Surely the Scarlet King must be this Scarlet that the Devites are being revealed to be subbordanite to. Since Gaia has been introduced I felt like she should be the goddess of nature, and the Deva people could have worshipped a fusion god of the Sarkic god and Gaia, hence why they can use some flesh fused with nature (fusion gods would fit in with the Indic setting). I know the scarlet king proposal 001 places him in India, the bloodshed makes sense connecting the scarlet king to Devites but not the nature aspect, unless it's a nature in a "red in tooth and claw" sort of way
@@roseopheliashepherd8379 The Daevites have always been represented by phytokinesis (plant magic) and hemomancy (blood magic), and the Sarkites/Nälka are, in most depictions, the slave population of the Daeva. This means that carnomancy (flesh magic) is usually derived from the hemomancy of the Daevites.
I'd also like to say that the Scarlet King is usually the deity of the Daeva or the Children of The Scarlet King. The Sarkites' deity opposes the Mekhanites' usually referred to as the Demiurge and Broken God respectively
When it comes to Fifthism, they don't really have a proper religion or god, but their whole thing is related to being affected by thoughts very much alien to us, random flesh monsters that have nothing to do with the Sarkites' carnomancy, eldritch horror, ascension and the like. Obviously they have a whole thing with the number 5 and its multiples, based around the thought of the Fifth reality that will come when this one crumbles, how existence is a privilege and whatnot. It's thought that the Starfish (SCP 3125), as it's usually called, is akin to their deity
This serious is so good, it makes me wish there was a bit more world building for aman eram. Not that I want ridiculous levels of granulity that star wars fans have demanded of explaining what every but and bolt does and how it works. But I would have loved to have a bit more about the culture and people of Aman eram, like we get sooner of the street activity of just regular background characters.
56:15 Holy shit well done, that's a mouthful! All together, I love listening to these series, although I rarely react.
Black Star, First Apostate, binding magic that prevents the Raj Mata from divulging or knowing the binding spell, the spell caster, their reasons or anything about the wretch/Abominate that leaves her with just a circle. These are subtle eerie clues that I think I've heard before, maybe worded as something else in other beautiful and prickly Canons 😉, on the nature of this 4th God... And I THINK I know who it is, regardless of different Canons, there are still constants and similarities..... But still, maybe there's a FIFTH God 😉😏🤫.
Thanks man
Secure. Contain. Astral Project.
The mechanites rule, and the Scarlet and the abomination are pretty much the same. All my homes hate the abomination
I hope someone in the community can and would make RTS game that features the 3 or 4 empire as playable team.
oh cool new episode
I think it would be cool if somebody did an entry within this universe where Mowgli becomes a vessel for the Daeva
I bet the abominate is SCP. Think about it at this point they are out in the open so they are called the black sun. Now they are in the shadows so they are the black moon
I wonder if SCP-3000 is guarding the area where the Abominat remains?
I get the distinct feeling the foundation needs to talk with each other more...
I think the Abominate SCP Cinematic Universe is my favorite canon
With these two, I'm hoping we get a sarkite (spelling) version of these events
Another incredible video!!
So I don't have much time to sit and read so I'm encountering this for the first time, but the "Wretch" is connected to the Hanged King, right? The "God-shaped Hole" concept
Hell yeah
I haven’t read the SCP, but am anxious to know who the 4th God is. I initially thought it was something to do with Adam and the Sky-lords of Old Europe, as they mentioned about them coming from the west and the Black Star being related to the crown plucked from the stars in the sky. Then I was thinking it was Titania or one of the Gods of the Elves/New World, with all the talk about names being powerful. Then there was mention of an eclipse and a moon which made me think of the Black Moon howling, or 3 Moons Initiative. One of my earliest thoughts was that it may be some precursor to the Foundation itself, but it being described as bringing chaos and disorder to the world doesn’t fit with description.
Please don’t tell me the details, but is this fourth faction something we’ve heard and seen before in other stories, or is this something new?
I listen on Spotify nowadays rather than YT, and I often fall asleep listening to your voice, so I may have missed some things.
This is a separate thing from the kaktusverse so probably don’t expect any of those characters to appear.
@@fibonaccicats7179 okay thanks. I’ll hold off on peeking to see what happens next until the next episode. With SCP though, this author would be able to take elements of other author’s creations into their own stories right?
Spoilers below…
The BLACKSTAR’s army was named the Three Pronged army.
*Their symbol is three prongs pointed outwards*
BLACKSTAR and the foundation aren’t just related.
BLACKSTAR *is* the foundation.
@@apollyonnoctis1291 thank you, I had to peek! My first thoughts were that it was an earlier version of the Foundation, but I would consider the Foundation’s main goals of Secure, Contain, Protect, as marking them as agents for Order, rather than of Chaos. After the Daeva Queen describes the “Wretch” as bringing Chaos to the world, that made me doubt that idea, but I suppose it could just be her interpretation of events after ultimately losing to this Wretch.
The three pronged army I completely missed, but I must’ve confused, or misheard it. I thought it was referencing the three armies surrounding Amoni Ra: the Daeva, the Nelka, and the Wretch’s army, I’d didn’t realise it was just referencing the Wretch’s army.
I’ve got to read the whole thing now. Ty.
