THE EXPLORING SERIES, IF YOU CAN SEE THIS PLEASE PIN THIS COMMENT. I just got to give credit to djkaktus for his incredible creativity in writing SCP-2996. The revision history section of SCP articles are used for documenting changes to an SCP page but djkaktus is the first to incorporate it as a part of his story telling. The Exploring Series doesn't quite do his justice here as djkaktus not only wrote an entire different SCP article for SCP-2996 to provide context for the final draft but also return to edit the page a several months after publishing the original draft in character as J Franklin posing as a Foundation doctor to alter the page in a series of edits that first expung the name J Franklin, then replacing it with B Anderson before finally editing the page to go from telling of how Franklin killed Emily to the version of Emily's story told in the final draft. djkaktus then returns a final time later month later in character this time as the Foundations records department to include the warning about the page's information being corrupted and the final addendum regarding the inconsistences found in the document's account of events. Not only did djkaktus use the revision history feature to provide an account of revisions to original document that provide context to the final version of the page, but also timed the edits such that those following the page could see the story of J Franklin coming back to cover his tracks with the foundation finding out all too late play out in real time. This is nothing short of incredible.
No fuck that. I hated it. Most readers don't even know about the edit history feature and never bother with any of the those red tabs at the bottom. Having to manually look for the rest of the story ruins the experience and we frankly can't be bothered to do it. He should have included that plot twist in the actual article itself as the final addendum. He doesn't deserve credit for anything.

That Yellowstone one was pure gold. I freaking love those utterly nonsensical and bizarre but not creepy or dangerous.
Lovecraft cosmic horror: and the thing had wings, tentacles, teeth and scales.
2682: lol, here's a raspberry that eat itself
SCP 2996 feels like an inverse of SCP 5545. Instead of a wronged party infinitely hunting the wrong doer, a victim perpetually hunted by their killer. Wonder if that was intentional.
“In their words, spaghettified.”
But Spaghettification is a real thing
That first ones always been one of my favorites. Especially like the d class getting a post death award. Wonder what other d class got that
Yeah, I'm also wondering on who's the second example.
I wouldn't be surprised if the second one was the d-class from Containment Breach.
@@anormalman8305 Provided he didn't get killed or got "confiscated" by the Chaos Insurgency.
The second D boi that got the star was in an alarm scp. It was an alarm that would ring but the decibles would increase every second until it would get so loud that the vibrations would destroy the world. The containment procesure was to turn off the alarm every couple hours but they failed. The D boi went into the containment cell and turned off the alarm before it got too loud. He lost his hearing but survived. He got the award dor basically saving the world
@@paulmackenan6043 yeah but part of his award was being terminated at the end of the month, the foundation could have healed him but probably still saw him as "damaged property"
I wonder if the O5 council deliberatly made Yellowstone national park anti-memetic for Foundation members to protect SCP-2000.
That’s what I thought too though it’s not explicitly stated
Wouldn't that just bring attention to Yellowstone, like it eventually did?
*Thinks of 4217* “Yeah I wouldn’t trust if it’s dead unless it’s completely destroyed...”
I’d like to point out the foundation casually brought someone back from the dead, and not in their sloppy “what happens after” ways
At least this time they didn’t kill death
Tis seems likely that it is because her soul or spirit was still around, thusly there wasn't the problem of trying to bring back someone from "the afterlife" as she wouldn't or couldn't move on
I can't be the only one who can listen to these and The Exploring Series other vids over and over and not get tired of them. His voice is so soothing and has that captivating teaching voice. I feel like I am in an actual classroom while listening and learning real history
We salute you D-class 14-134 for your sacrifice to the Foundation.

Which spider?

The fruit one is pretty darn funny and pretty darn great. This entity thinks it knows literally everything that it could be, even claiming that God is afraid of it, but it’s so so so much smaller than it thinks. At least that’s how I interpreted it. A pretty good parallel to us humans, and a brilliant twist.
"He was sent in with a camera with a live feed, that was attached to a 25 metre cable, and a music player that contained the entire DOOM soundtrack."
Isn’t SCP 2000 in Yellowstone? Maybe in 2007 humanity was repopulated and the 05 made sure no one remembered the location of the facility that did it.
Edit: he had the same theory glad I wasn’t alone in thinking that
It is. I think SCP-1422 was meant to keep SCP-2000 secret
He mentioned that in the last minute or so if the description. Blink and you'll miss it.
NEVER break a teleporting chair into small pieces
I love how 2682 captures the barely conceivable difference between how we as humans understand the world and how a lifeform from a radically different universe would understand it. The fact that they were capable of absorbing most of their universe, including God, but can't imagine a creature larger than a few atoms or the concept of time makes it fascinating.

honestly i dont think ive cracked up so hard in ages than when the d-class and the copper rod got turned into a single croissant by the sentient raspberry
This James Franklin character is such an interesting case to me. We have had many failed foundation projects at the hands of the effects of the anomalies in question or GOI. But rarely has someone been able to accomplish this AND stay mostly hidden. It's AMAZING! I hope there's more about him. Also big respect to the class D from the first article. What a chad. Great video as always!
I agree, I also wonder who this James is and if he is involved in other SCPs or events that The Foundation have investigated
Oyyyy how is this comment two days old i dont like that

Don't let Bookburners find this guy!!! because they would start the Ichabod Campaign 2.0, if they find out what James Franklin has done (especially as a reality warper and a member of The Serpent's Hand in some canon and JP branch of SCP Wiki)
Edit; Tbh I can't believe this guy is able to avoid the Bookburners from getting LTE by them and poor girl because she got a fate worse than death even after being a ghost.

+
No fuck that. I hated it. Most readers don't even know about the edit history feature and never bother with any of the those red tabs at the bottom. Having to manually look for the rest of the story ruins the experience and we frankly can't be bothered to do it. He should have included that plot twist in the actual article itself as the final addendum. He doesn't deserve credit for anything.
