Gaia Gate never ceases to give me chills and remember the good times and potential of this series. Frontiers does look like it'll be beautiful if nothing else as well.
Honestly, I don't care what others say or think about Sonic. It's because of things like these that my love for the franchise grows stronger and stronger over time. There are things that could have been something that never happened. Is true. But not everything is bad, it never hurts to take time to appreciate the good things, and realize the love and passion put into them. (the music of the games). I hope the best for this project, that everything goes well.
Obviously we know that they removed a lot of content in these trailers for the purpose of showcasing the world, but it does create speculation as to how this game would be, had it been released in 2021? My prediction is that it would have been a lot more combat focused, and probably would have had much less things to run on than what in the final game (dash panels, rails etc). In the final horizon, we learn from side stories that Sonic apparently has been dreaming up all these cyberspace assets that appear in the open world, but this could just be a huge retcon to cover up the fact that these floating rails and rings were never meant to be in the game originally. But regardless, the 2021 build of Sonic Frontiers will always be intriguing to me, and it’s a shame to know that Sonic Team probably will never come back to this ‘Ancients’ storyline, with the end voice guiding sonic and exploring the secrets of the open world. It would genuinely be awesome to see the real build of Sonic Frontiers in 2021, just to see and understand what would have been, and if the original vision that Sonic Team had towards Sonic Frontiers would have been better than what we got in the final game, as well as the Final Horizon update.
Coming back to this to see how many areas we haven't seen in a playable space yet. Good to know that Kronos is far bigger than what we've seen so far. I wanna explore that birchwood forest and that marsh.
It already looks simply amazing, and yet who knows what kind of updates they’re giving it behind the scenes or what gimmicks and enemies they’ll put in it? I’m itching to see more
This is a fresh and nice change or return to openness, the thing I hate about many of the last games is it was always so linear and Generations is a culprit of that, the main world is boring & repetitive and Time Eater doesnt even change things up or show there's destruction, you're just chasing down a huge pipe that goes in circles.
I just realized that they used the gaia gate music from sonic unleashed, how have i just now noticed that!? (Also wow gaia gate really fits with frontiers)
Funny to see they showed 3 areas back a year before release of the game. Shows that the island separation was really a last minute desperate move... Kudos to Ian Flynn and the game developers, they really tried to put their all into this game even with the tke restrants.
My theory is that there were going to be 4 iskands technically and rhea was included because they didn't want to scrap 1/3 of kronos and for good reason. A lot of people say frontiers looks like an unreal tech demo but its like.....they put actual effort into making these environments even if they don't "look like sonic" There's concept art if this shit. Anywho, yeah its a little sad. The first shot has the rhea tower on the far left removed so they already planned to segment the iskands way back then
@@Terminal_Apotos but not everyone likes sonic boom though. I tried to like it but... i can't get into it, my personal preference for sonic is serious with a side of humor, or at least 50/50
If you're seeing this comment, you're a TRUE sonic fan to be on an unlisted video. 👏👏👏 round of applause
but i don't want to be a TRUE sonic fan.
idk man this got recommend to me
I just looked it up lol
I watch u
Im a true sonic fan
What's funny is the gaia gate theme actually fits the game's scenery pretty well
I'm pleased with the general aesthetic of the game so far. I hope the year or so of dev time can help polish it up and that we also see gameplay soon.
i hope they do polish up for real, i heard that when forces was delayed, it was an extra year for the engine and not the game itself.
Wait you want the aesthetic of sonic to be a generic meadow with nothing but nature and grass fields?

Potential comeback for sonic games? They're already doing great at the box office

Why does the music in this video sound like it would be in a Fallout game?
It’s Gaia’s Gaye from Sonic Unleashed

Could this be planet möbius?

The game takes place on the Starfall Islands
Technically yes, it’s literally Sonic’s Earth, it’s just not called that by name
