Understanding IP2

In this video tutorial, Andy includes an explanation of intermodulation products in microwave amplifiers. An understanding of second order intercept point (IP2) is presented, along with the second harmonic intercept point (SHI). The differences and mathematical relationship between IP2, SHI and second harmonic output are explained. Intermodulation simulations in Keysight ADS are shown using a Cree-based GaN power amplifier.
