Yeah this was a super bad take for KVD; being upset that people who used the Descent exploit were punished just because previous exploits were not punished, is such a backwards way of thinking, especially since the devs were super clear this time that it would happen.

SIMPLE FIX...cap HEALTH at SHD 1000 and disable Expertise levels within PvP areas (health above SHD 1000 and Expertise are disabled until player returns to PvE)!!!
It's the no duh! answer as it limits the damage of excessive SHD across the board. Why the devs haven't done that and are banning instead is a bit unfathomable to me.
I beleive it is there plan to somehow cap Expertise in PvP.
They are talking about taking out the SHD in the 2 normal Dark Zones. The invaded DZ will have your SHD watch.

I will note that KVD's shakey voice is apparently due to an injury he sustained during his service, so I would ask that we hold on using that as a reference point for poking fun. I am aware I am the one that pointed it out, though I had zero intention of this becoming a go to point of mockery.

Agreed mate. Exploiters with hundreds of thousands of SHD levels and over a million health should not be in the game. Who is ever going to go into the dark zone or pvp with players like that out there. And for someone with KVD's following to condone it. Nope. Should not happen.

So very appreciative to hear a lucid take on the roll back / ban wave. I don't PvP so I have no horse in this race, but the division (no pun intended) in the community is making the co-op aspect of what should be a fun and entertaining online only game sour. Appreciate you Dodder.
At least Division 2 fomo doesn't directly affect gameplay like Destiny 2 where if you miss a season you potentially miss out on the strongest in slot craftable weapon.
I mean you can just buy last season’s exotic from the kiosk at the Tower if you missed it.
@@brawler5760 can't do that with legendaries though. And the farm for them in the general loot pool is so ridiculous its practically impossible. Because the loot pool is super saturated and actually getting a good roll is basically impossible with how infrequently you get those guns and then you had to collect 5 with deepsight resonance to be able to craft them.
Granted they did add a way to make weapons deepsight resonance. But thats a super expensive process in itself and only JUST popped into existence after years of seasons.
It would be like if the loot pool in division 2 was threee times as big. Had no targeted loot. Had twice as many things that had to roll correctly. With no recalibration. And you couldn't get blueprint for the weapon until you got it 5 times with an arbitrary red border around it. Thats the level of fomo rng Destiny has had for years.

He decides what to publish. If he needs that income he should consider that risk. It's a basic rule, don't shit where you eat.

This was far more than a standard exp farm, and those who used it and spread it (aka you among them) knew exactly what they were doing. This was orders of magnitude more exp than anything that has ever been in the game, allowing people to reach SHD levels that gave unreasonable amounts of health that gave the potential of gaining the survivability advantage of running a full blue build while wearing a full red build. The massive amount of SHD levels allowed massive amounts of exotic components to be farmed, which also gives an advantage for leveling up every piece of gear to the max.
Its hilarious watching the people who abused this try to pretend like the whole community was wronged by this. The people doing this was always a small section of the community. The vast majority of the player base isn't even aware of its existence, let alone actively abusing it. The devs have been clear after the Anderson exploit they were going to be harsher on this in the further, this type of reaction from them is exactly what they told us they were planning on doing going forward.
Your trying to gaslight your audience and rile them up to get a hate mob going after the devs, which is honestly the thing I have the biggest issue with you doing in this whole situation. You cheated, and you helped spread that cheat to your community. Accept what you did, and move on. Don't use your platform to spread anger and misinformation, which is exactly what this video is."

Why doesn’t massive ban content creators who promote and enable unacceptable behaviors ?? A lot of content creators promote crappy builds questionable glitches and some even use third party devices . Is it even possible to detect all cheaters let’s say cheaters who only use aids when they’re fighting players who they think cheat . you british guy´s are so great when your blood is boiling. years ago i worked as a bouncer in a big german town. 2 regiments of the british army was located there. at the weekends i had to deal with them and it was a great time. true...we had some serious brawls sometimes but it was fair most of the time. one night some of them arguing each other for an hour and to hear this discussion was like watching this video 🙂the conversation ends with a brawl with 15 people. after 20 minutes MP show up and beat the sh** out of them. but no one was complaning.

You have earned a sub from me I've been hiding from the division issues for a while but I think if let's say you join a community server on most games if you exploit if you cheat you get a ban. So why is it a problem when devs do it they even give proper warnings like people if you break the law what do you expect when the cops say hey your under arrest or getting a ticket for breaking said laws? Like I thought cheating was in two different meanings cheating in the sense of hacking or cheating in the sense of exploiting.

I happen to have had him in a countdown run, I said hello no response, I said hello again thinking mic was muted nothing. Everyone else says hello. New Division 2 player here and I'm glad that guy got banned. I agree that while it is sad his income got affected, at the same time I know that allowing cheating in any multiplayer game will kill the community (which also kills the game), be it tabletop or video game... which ruins more than just his bottom line.
Also, him mentioning the Verge or anything related to the Verge as anything other than a meme made me laugh. at least now I know at least one youtube source for Division 2 to avoid because of that.

But this worked with golden bullet so each level gained you got a star which you could use to buy exotic caches and then open that and then break it down for the exotic compounds
Exactly. Not only did they get an unfair Health pool boost, but they were able to farm ridiculous numbers of Exotic Caches and max out all of their builds while the rest of us are still at the mercy of drop rate RNG.
Yeah, I think many are overlooking this. The massive resource haul on top of the XP is just hard to fathom. Imagine 100K event stars?! I can see the attraction to this glitch, for sure… but what’s the point in playing the game if you did do this and got away with it? The regular game is going to be a joke. You really could not honestly think you could get away with this. Seriously.

I did the damage glitch and got my account suspended and rolled back. I wasn’t mad at anyone but myself. I moved onto a different game for a week, when the suspension was up I returned and I’ve learned my lesson. No more suspensions for me. I’m 8K SHD and not doing anything to jeopardize all my progress. KVD needs to grow up and take the suspension like man 😀

Most reasonable people hate the bullshit going years from KVD and similar youtubers. Watch them do the exact same thing on heartlands. The only cure is to unsubscribe to them and have all your friends unsubscribe them too. Friends dont let friends play trash builds.
Every time D2 has a ban wave. My drop rate on exotics increase as I play the game. I use to play the game without a drop for weeks. I had to rely on countdown $ to purchase an exotic cache and deconstruct for the material. I can happily say that the drop rate for me has increased since the banning. Today alone I have received 8 exotics playing control points. Ban the cheaters! My playing experience has improved.
KVD i started his DOD clan on PC and PlayStation and even hooked him up with a PS5 and i thought i was going to get some cool feedback on starting a YT and i thought totally wrong. Dude is something else i learned my lesson fuck it

The guy deserves a perma ban to be honest especially with all the exploits he told his community its okay to use and then the devs turn around and ban ppl. yet somehow his account still up and running, and his subs continue to grow I don't get it.
also he dont do anything at all in ETF to help with bugs or anything, that's where he's getting most these exploits from cause there was a handful of us on there that actually reported them to the devs in there.

Dude, I got it a loooong time ago....I ve been playing for a while and use to follow Kam Van Dumb religiously, until I saw that he was either copying content piece for piece from smaller creators, or just putting together horrible builds that rookies farm for only to realize months later that he never posted himself finishing any heroic, let alone legendary. There are quite a few creators just bullshitting their way into subscriptions that are a complete waste of time for the beginner....Dod dude....your math invited me to the party, but that sharp british tongue convinced me to stay and dance lol.

Just jumped back into div 2 last season, I usually watched KVD vids for build tips and after watching his most recent vid I must say he came off as completely unhinged.
In regards to those that exploited the XP glitch it’s seems they got off pretty easy all things considered, a slap on the wrist so to speak.
Just to let you know he is an ex solider that flew gun planes in Iraq and got serious lung problems from firing the guns this is why he sometimes talks funny.
if someone with that sense of right and wrong gets hands on guns there is something wrong with this world(yeah we know that but you got what i mean^^)

No player should be banned for "features" in the game. If your game is broken fix it.
I never taken advantage of such "features" but really just fix the game in a timely enough fashion that it's not a ban issue.
The Ban issues arise when the devs take too long to fix something and make the player base responsible for policing themselves. This approach is economically beneficial as less devs, less money spent fixing the game. This time to fix issues also divides the player base and causes strong opinions like this video that might be well founded should be unnecessary as this should never have been an issue if the "Feature" was fixed in a timely manner.

For sure. I got a 2 week ban for Anderson farm prior to the "please stop" notice and I don't even think it was ban worthy.
Anyway did about as much as KVD did on YT. Guess who got banned and who kept putting out shitty, overly long-winded videos on the same Xbox account that did the farming?
Descent glitch and Faye (door glitch style) were IMO legit exploits which is why I didn't do them.
That said, had I known I was going to get dinged (unjustly or otherwise) I would have farmed the shit out of that to justify the 2 week vacation.
I stopped playing D2 a few months ago because work/life but at the time I had no idea what kind of guy KVD actually was. I'm shocked, but Dod, I thank you for bringing this up (and in a very entertaining way) and as soon as I finish this vid and sub to you I'm gonna unsub to that sobbbing tw@t w@nker. Honestly all this XP limiting crap is based around seasons and apparel events. I think that whenever there isn't an apparel event or you get season level 100, you should get a 50-100% xp boost. Not only would this incentivize playing the entire season, but reward people afterwards and discourage exploiting Xp. Of course expertise and shd should be nerfed/capped in light DZ and conflict

Ps… man determined reinvigorated my division experience. Saved the game for this day one player. Purely because it offers me a build where I’m comfortable to set up 5 directives and enjoy working through open world activities👍👍👍 I’m a one shot monster and love it.
there are other builds that can do that. sure, not as easy as determined, but I for one still try to play the game to give me a challenge, not to make it super easy, then why I am playing?
My only issue with determined in it's current state is that in any other game it is called Aim bot.
I have offered to sit down and tolk to KVD before, same with some others, they prefer to hide in corner and just call me names.

Dod, about that point of KVD losing his income… he can just screw off to some other Ubisoft property like The Crew 2/Motorfest or Breakpoint. I highly doubt he’d lose his income if he did get permabanned(and if I was moderating this shit I’d let that happen 100%).

Finally some respect for developers. I'll be the first one to shit on Ubisoft and other big companies, but those are the executives and higher ups that couldn't give a fuck about how fun a game is. Developers and the actual artists deserve nothing but props and they are already treated badly by companies through crunch and the like. Definetely the last thing any community should do is to insult the people that are working hard on the game they love
Still dont understand how he got the following he has. His builds and especially his claims and info about them is so completely wrong about 75 percent of the time. It makes me sad to Felix ethe only reason he is followed is because people that play this game don’t actaully test his builds and claims about them
I don’t dislike anyone. But, im so HAPPY someone said something about this. His opinion is off, and unfortunately all the D riders just agree with him even if it makes no sense. Plus he think all of us honest players should be punished for the actions of cheaters. Capping us? How ridiculous.

Agree agree agree. What does annoy me, though is the fact that SHD can have any meaningful impact on PVP after SHD 1000. Health is meaningless for the most part, and builds will be different for each player. But a stat that xp farming can raise to abusable levels is just silly. PVP should be as much of a level playing field as possible, obviously aside from the unique build element of the game
