Looks like a great (but tough) hike with all that snow. David- you must be part mountain goat. It didn't sound like you were even breathing hard on those ascents while narrating.
Vivian Creek is always tough even under good conditions, but the wind and snow made it even tougher. I guess all my Baldy training helps to keep me in shape. Cheers!
Bringing back memories of the last time I tried camping on san Gorgonio, I was set up at the summit and underestimated how cold and windy it would be, I ended up not being able to sleep because of the cold, had to hike back down the entire mountain from midnight to 4am haha
Whoa, I've never camped on the summit partly because I know how windy it can get. Kudos for packing up and making it back down in the middle of the night.
We climbed that peak, in summer, with the YMCA camp in that area. Early '60s. They called it Greyback. The staging are was called "Slushy Meadows". Thank you for the video.
Another great video, David.. you captured the whole trip. Very nice. And you sounded like it was too easy for you while I was dying. 😂 So what’s next for us?
I just used Alltrails app to follow the Vivian Creek trail all the way to the summit. After High Creek camp we cut the switchbacks and went straight up to the ridge where you can see San Jacinto. Best of luck to you!
Really like your videos. Thanks for the good quality👌
Thanks! That is the main purpose of my channel is to bring the beauty of the outdoors to the viewers.

Very cool! It's interesting to see how the names have changed.
Great video. Thank you. I’ve only done San Jacinto a few times but this is on my list. Beautiful up there.
Thanks! San Gorgonio is longer and higher than San Jacinto but both are beautiful hikes.

Thanks Robert! Another great adventure in the books to talk around the campfire. You did great, and let's keep it going. I got lots of ideas! Tagay!
Thanks for video, I am planning to do gorgonio in this week, can you share gpx of your trip if you have any ??
