The Snyder cut was long because it has scenes that added more depth to the importance of the mother box. For example the scene were the queen passes the box with the added line of, “Guard it with your life,” just shows how valuable that item is for them. There were minute changes and extra scenes that added to the buildup that it gave so much more “tension” to the scene. I can feel the queen’s desperation from this scene and how brave and passionate the amazons are.
Much more fleshed out, more brutal from both parties, the score is refreshing and fitting, and yes, epic. An okay and decent scene from a movie with a few is absolutely fantastic in the Snyder Cut

You know, after watching the Snyder Cut, I have to say this person did a good job. This video actually was pretty close to what happened in the Snyder Cut version of this scene, with the music and the color palette. There's the obvious differences with the dialogue of course (this one still uses the theatrical dialgoue), but for a fan edit they got it pretty close to what Snyder intended. Good job.

Just came back here to compare this scene with Synder’s cut. That one has tension, this was just fast.
What do you mean more tension? Having a 5 minute speech to the "guardians" instead of addressing the mother that called him? Snyder's is longer but it doesn't mean it has more tension. It also has an extra slo mo scene where she runs and the wall, why?

@@Watchingmen because this scene needed that. From the dialogue "show him your fear" to she giving up on her troops and running away, it was an absolute display of emotions running through her. The scene feels heavy and after the whole dome falls into the sea, she finally takes a sigh of relief
@@Watchingmen From what I recall from the theatrical release, was that the box-chase felt lighter compared to the Snyder cut. The Snyder cut was long because it has scenes that added more depth to the importance of the mother box. For example the scene were the queen passes the box with the added line of, “Guard it with your life,” just shows how valuable that item is for them. There were minute changes and extra scenes that added to the buildup that it gave so much more “tension” to the scene. I can feel the queen’s desperation from this scene and how brave and passionate the amazons are.
This is the best scene in the movie, and it's still (at best) half as good as what we'll get next month.

Much more fleshed out, more brutal from both parties, the score is refreshing and fitting, and yes, epic. An okay and decent scene from a movie with a few is absolutely fantastic in the Snyder Cut

I won’t lie though a small detail I liked was how he referred to the mother box as mother which they didn’t in the Snyder cut, that’s straight from the comics if I’m not mistaken and really speaks to the sentient aspect of the mother boxes 👌🏾

You know, after watching the Snyder Cut, I have to say this person did a good job. This video actually was pretty close to what happened in the Snyder Cut version of this scene, with the music and the color palette. There's the obvious differences with the dialogue of course (this one still uses the theatrical dialgoue), but for a fan edit they got it pretty close to what Snyder intended. Good job.

The Snyder cut version definitely made this scene more impactful. You feel bad for the Amazons and the amount of effort they tried to prevent Steppinwolf from obtaining the motherbox. Even the minor characters. Like the one that got crushed by her own horse.
