Rule of thumb.... The casually on-fire dude who rips through steel blast doors barehanded gets to be in charge.
That's right and Not the guy who's full of shit like DJT!
@farmhome904 😆🤣 You win the internet today, sir. Good laugh there.
@dt9913 He's living rent free I see.
Thanks for the actual laugh out loud
That "dude" was literally hotter than the fire he was on. Oooo lalala.
I always hated the part of the scene where all the kids are there with the teacher, when Clark's mom shows up. They should have all been in the classroom while adults tended to Clark.
Very poor teacher decision there. That's a perfect way to ratchet up anxiety and lead to a more unpredictable situation.
@@flyingdics1It’s a movie.
It wasn't a poor decision. Children at a certain age at least should never be left alone, especially in large numbers.
Use your brains people.
@@sebastienseb919 Hmm, use your brain you say?
First, let's clear something up. Nowhere in my OP did I even remotely suggest that the children should be left alone without adult supervision of any sort. Clark's teacher and his mother were all that were needed. His teacher could have called another qualified adult to attend her class while she dealt with this.
All those kids swarming around him, whom he was trying to get away from, to quiet the noise and have peace, was a good idea, huh? Clearly, Clark had a problem, and the teacher was basically making it worse rather than helping him with her bad choice. Super hearing and vision or not, something is not normal, so just let's have the whole class push Clark into a corner and subject him to goofy, non-understanding mob kid behavior.
It was still a poor decision, as I originally stated.
If you are unclear, ask for clarity without false assumptions and then end your response with a condescending, snarky quip like you have it all figured out.
Practice what you preach if you are going to suggest people use their brains.
@@TravisMcGee151 Yeah, a dumb movie.
Just realised, he ALLOWED that guy to tackle him when the crab cage fell.
Tells you how much effort he had to put into just being a man.
Nah that guy was actually super strong
... does he have to control precisely how hard he super shits, to prevent utter destruction of everything beneath his perched floating ass (ceramic toilet, wooden floors, reinforced concrete, steel beams).
Would the resulting fart fumes be poisonous to mankind, spreading like an invisible potent plume of toxic Kryptonian poo particles?
...does he even shit at all?

Superman with a Beard was something the world didn't know it needed. Thanks Zack Snyder...
….but what could he use to shave it off?

@@tsb3093 His fingernail(s).

With the beard, without a beard, long hair, short hair, mustache, no mustache, shirt on, shirt off, English accent, American accent... yeah I don't care.... I'm good, just put him in movies. But no shirt is extra good.
Man Of Steel is SO under appreciated. It’s an amazing movie.
some parts of it are, the big problems come in the later half of the film where the amazing setups like this get just run ruffshod over for the sake of big destructive battle.
@mattmatt7305 absolutely! I loved this movie so much I saw in the theater at least twice! Henry Cavill has been one of the best actors to play the role since Christopher Reeves! Hopefully David Corenswet can do just as good.
@@huma474good point!

I Love It
The ending sucked.
@@DeusExMachina50what ending were you expecting?
People are not very smart
They're just dumb
There is absolutely golden cinemaphotography right here:
a) One of the crew "saves" Clark from dying by pushing he back. (Yeah, Clark saw he coming and decided to fall over. If Clark would have just stood still, and not moved an inch like Superman would have, that sailor tried to rescue him would be dead or seriously injured.)
b) Clarks smirk, when the sailor rescued him risking his life. Its a small but powerful moment when Clark realized humans are worth to save, after all his doubts.
Totalmente de acuerdo, se vé el ejemplo opuesto con el conductor del camión en la escena del bar, rebotó como una pelota
It's also a good moment for him to remember that, even though he's basically indestructible, he needs to pay attention and not do stupid things.
Intenso,mas verdadeiro!😅
How do you speak English so well but not understand the difference between "him" and "he's"
@@colynrobinson212 Care to elaborate?
0:26 fun fact is that Superman saw that guy running towards him to save him in slowmo and decided to get pushed like a human rather than standing there like a wall and the other guy couldn't even move him an inch.
Great attention to that.
Well technically at this point he wasn’t shown the full extent of his powers so he prolly couldn’t even know he could do that yet. Like how he was with his flying.
Not really. During this time he wasnt in tune with his powers yet he just knew how to control them not manifest them. Which is why he struggled to hold the building up
Crazy to think in the Batman vs. Superman court room scene, he literally stood and watched everyone around him get roasted, which for his perseption would've felt like 20 minutes in a fan assisted oven.
Best SuperMan ever
He's a distant third at best; Reeve is the best hands down. Cavill would have made a good Superman in the hands of a good writer/director, but Snyder is a boob.
I agree, Cavil smashed it.
@@TexasPanhandlerAgreed. But it probably depends on who you grew up with. I just think Reeve had slightly better acting chops, but both are great in their own way.
Cavil is better
@@jhonsalchijhon5992 incorrect
i love so much about this origin story... in the rig moment, he is knows he's unlikely to be hurt but is still unsure of his true strength, and still goes for it. Great character writing.
But why did he struggle? He has enough raw power to move the rig. Do Kryptonians require strength training?
@@Bucketdrummerhe didn't struggle . It's just that the beam he was standing off was falling apart and he didn't have a solid ground to stand on
@@Bucketdrummer Because he did't know his own power yet.. that was at the end of the film.
Glad someone gets it!
Best superman movie by far
The Richard Donner cut just entered the chat 🤘😁🤘
@@harryv6752Who is that
@@harisonwilfred7567 He made/directed Superman 2 back in 1980. He was replaced after shooting most of it, and that horrendous film became the theatrical release. The Donner Cut was subsequently released and was Donner's original vision, which first showcases Superman going up against General Zod and his comrades after they broke out of the Phantom Zone. Zack Snyder's Man of Steel is largely based on Donner's cut with the story with General Zod. The Donner Cut is an all time classic with some of, if not, the best superhero action put to film in that era.
Most underrated DC movie, this was way ahead of time in terms of story and Superman's introductions!
His mother is under appreciated...I could literally see my mom helping me there.
Absolutely love how he had so much room to grow strength wise as he struggled holding off the rig. So realistic. Imagine being one of the guys saved and witnessing this shit. Love MoS
Its actually bad writing. Superman should be stronger by this age, and that hand on the ship trying to push superman should have bounced right off as if he ran into a brick wall.
I think it was cause he was on the rig he didn’t have solid ground to stand on .
@@BoopSnoot It’s not if you think about how long a kryptonian can live. 33 years is nothing if you can live til 1000+
I don’t believe the words “so realistic” have ever before been so ingenuously typed. 👍
@@brianfergus839realistic in a sense that it’s easy to make a scene like this feel cheap. The cinematography and subtle decisions like making him lose his stability and not being full potential makes the scene feel weighted

So sucks that Cavill will not be Superman again. Despite bad writing, he is far better in the role than anyone else. No one is even close. Ditto Affleck as Batman.
Sabes qué es lo más triste? Que tanto los que gustaban de esta historia, como los que la criticaban, nos vamos a quedar con las ganas de saber cómo terminaba...
Cavill is my favorite Superman. Sorry Reeves.
@@TravisMcGee151 He IS good as Superman, but not as Kent. Reeves played both very well which is why he's better imho.

It's an amazing movie to introduce superman ......sad WB /DC didn't recognise it's true potential to explore this man of steel ....
Such a great movie. Henry Cavil will never be replaced.
Cavill is the best Actor for the superman movie
Oh, another reminder how great that movie was. Also soundtrack is absolutely amazing and fits perfectly.
This was one hell of a movie. And the soundtrack was perfect
a little and afraid clark has a better controll of his powers than the most of adult supes in the boys

THIS is Superman 🫡
One of the best scenes from any Superman film shame on them for not making another 😅superman film with mr civill
This move is awesome.
Background sound was totally eoic in this movie!! Uplifting
I've always felt they should have upped the pacing on the helo pad a little. Current cut makes it feel that they could have gotten away from the falling steel if they weren't waiting to load Clark.

Such a beautifully made movie.
"What's wrong with me, mom?".

My favorite Superman movie
Love the mother son relationship... Perfect
I love Superman and Cavill was amazing.
What a film. Superman just quietly roaming through different lives. Still discovering his powers.
Makes me wonder whats Superman's hearing is like underwater. Does it affect what he hears around the world, like when its muffled for us?
Man of Steel is undoubtedly my favourite Superman movie of all time. From a dude who loves Batman more
Nowhere close to Batman Begins/Dark Knight/Dark Knight Rises!
I love how first the rope is cut into pieces, next frame it's coiled and whole and after the push it's completely gone.
So cool Mr Cavill...and SUPERMAN as a wee guy at school then those whales in the water...I aint seen this YET...but I'd LOVE to see before I kick the proverbial bucket...it looks effing GOOD...
this movie is so amazing.. it so difference than others superman movies.. it like batman and the dark knight. especially the soundtrack

When he holds the TOWER THAT'S THE FIRST TIME FOR HIM!- his power level INCREASED
He always knows just the right time to use his powers.

I love this movie, but I usually just start from the fight in Smallville if I watch it these days..
The coolest thing about that tackle scene? Supes used his telepathic powers to control the screenwriters into making it look like he could be pushed. That's how dedicated he was to looking like a normal human.
Besides The Richard Donner Cut, this is definitely my next fave Supes live action film. It's a Travesty that Cavill will never don the cape again.
