Just came back from watching the new Superman trailer - while I loved it, I don't think anything will ever beat 3:02 this scene of Superman learning to fly, coupled with Hans Zimmer's score that makes you feel like you're actually flying!
I love Hans Zimmer, but this is in fact John Williams' original 1970's score played with electric guitar. I really hope they use this score or a collab.
This scene is just brilliant. Look at the happiness on Clark's face when he realizes he could actually fly. Steller acting from Cavil. Zack just makes it look so epic and the icing on the Cake is Hans score! Phenomenal. Just Phenomenal. This scene is just Hope and Joy. Masterpiece.
This scene happened 10 years ago, there is still no other scene as iconic. Snyder introduced us to the real Man of Steel. I doubt anyone could do better.
@@FlynnBTerrens yep, patiently waiting. I think its up for march 2021 release. However Man of steel hold a special place in my heart. It's still my favorite CBM of all time.
Henry cavill will always have a special place in my heart. I was there opening day watching this magnificent scene take place and it was utterly jaw dropping. It still gives me chills to this day, so sad we have to see him go because of such an incompetent studio
The way he takes in the sun light just hits me every time. Sometimes the sun will beam into my bathroom while I shower in the morning and it feels like it has the same effect.
One of my favorite subtle moments of this scene has always been the way Clark's body language completely changes when Jor-el says "... you can be a force for good". His shoulders go back and he immediately turns to the Superman costume. He's found his life purpose in that moment and it's so pure.
There werent much superhero films back when film released. There were Dark Knight trilogy, Spiderman trilogy, Avengers, Iron Man and few more which all were masterpieces. This 1 in comparison wasnt as a masterpiece to some of those films (still regardless as materpiece). But nowadays with a lot more superhero films, most of them are terrible and makes people watch old superhero films and now undersstand how truly good Man of Steel is. You're welcome 😁
No disrespect whatsoever to Christopher Reeves' portrayal of Superman(which I loved dearly), this is the best Superman learning to fly sequence to date.
I remember seeing this in theaters on opening night. I was never really a big fan of Superman but *this* scene (and really, the entire film) floored me and made me fall in love. What a great movie.

I agree with u. Man of Stell for me is the best Superman movie. This movie is like Batman The Dark Knight of 2008. I think the only MCU movie thats is powerful enough is The Avengers 4 part 1.
Agreed. The only MCU film I thought held any weight to it was “Infinity War”. Other than that, everything else was super predictable and somewhat mediocre. I DID NOT like the aesthetic or look of almost any of them either. Winter Soldier had wonderful cinematography but nothing else stood out (on the technical side)
No matter how much time pass, this will always be a gift for humanity. "The simbol of the House of El means hope. Embodied within that hope is the fundamental belief in the potential of every person to be a force for good"
As we mourn the loss of this version of the Man of Steel, let's ensure to celebrate this masterpiece and his performance. Henry's Superman inspired me as a young kid, even to this day, and will continue to inspire me in the future. I ain't the only one he's inspired. I am eternally grateful to have witnessed such a brilliant performance and a magnificent movie! I will miss his version of Superman moving forward, but I am looking forward to seeing what this new administration at DC does with the character. They value Supes greatly and am excited to see what they bring. I'll remain hopeful that whoever takes up the mantle of Superman next can live up to the World's Greatest Hero's stature, like our boy did! Onwards and upwards! Thank you Henry, Zack, and co!
You damn right you ain't the only one he's inspired. I respect you man for respecting Gunn's decision to start with a new Superman, and we can't doubt their universe would turn out great.
The music is incredible for this scene. I got great joy seeing the Superman suit once again. Seeing him struggle at first and falling. He settled down and took flight. I cried watching this. I grew up on Christopher Reeve as Superman. I feel Henry was made for the role 🥹
1:44 love love love this little detail. Superman jumping in this part is a nod to Superman's first appearance in the Golden Age, when he could leap over tall buildings.
Imagine watching this in a movie theater by yourself with a blunt because everyone went to go see now you see me . I’m glad I snuck off on my class so go to this side of the theater . I was shocked and stuck the entire way through the film . I couldn’t believe my eyes
I’m watching this on my break at work and I’m tearing up, been going through some stuff lately and watching this and listening to this song does give me hope for better days ahead

The thing with with Henry was, he always displayed the emotions of Superman exactly like he was supposed to. Idc what anyone says, Man of Steel was possibly the best Superman movie.
Philip...not "possibly," it is the best Superman movie. (likely the best superhero movie too) The only thing that can beat this is Man of steel 2 directed by Zack Snyder again or Zack Snyder's justice league 2 and that's me saying this as general fan with no bias towards anything. I'm ultra confident James Gunn's Superman movie won't be better than MOS, no chance!
Zack Snyder, Henry Cavill & Hans Zimmer. Thank you for the great experience. Thank you for your dedication to this great movie. Thank you for the great Superman of my era.
Absolutely chills throughout my body..how does anyone not think this scene alone is not totally awesome...the music buildup..the visuals..the tension...the dialogue...it has it all. Amazing 👏
No scene from any movie or series has ever made a bigger impact on my life than this. This has uplifted me when I felt low, gave me courage, strength, faith and has made me more positive. Man of Still and Henry's performance as Superman will always have a special place in my heart. Had hoped that he'd forever be our Superman.
0:12 Some people say it didn’t make sense for the blue and red Superman suit that hologram Jor-El presented to Clark/Kal-El to fit him perfectly. That’s under the assumption that it was originally worn by Jor-El. I assumed while hologram Jor-El was talking to Clark, the Kryptonian ship was 3D-printing it and it just finished when presented to him.
Came here after watching the SUPERMAN LEGACY teaser , and i will say one thing that imo Man OF Steel was so ahead of its time. Superman Legacy Trailer gives vibe of a Fake Set and Fake World. But the Scale of this Movie + Hans Zimmer . This will be my all time favourite.

The Sonic booms, the waves he makes over the ocean and the reaction of the animals
Every little detail to create a wonderful masterpiece
This is one of the most hopeful and inspiring moments, not only CBMs, but in general that I've ever seen👏🏼🙌🏻
This film is a masterpiece. Best superhero film to date, nothing has surpassed it!
LMAO. everything here is underrated or a masterpiece. these are merely individual opinions. the general consensus is this film was really bad and Henry is not a good Superman. the original superman was the real masterpiece and nothing has surpassed that and never will
@@kellymulderino7156 your opinion is the minority. Get lost hater
@@FallenJustice not even close. you just wanna believe whatever you want. i bet if i tell you water is wet you will say it isnt.
You always have to have a clown who says this film is bad.

Here after the new Superman Trailer. No one can replace my Henry!!
ABSOLUTELY.
No one can❤❤
Agree ❤
#NotMySuperman
The most uplifting scene, figuratively & literally, in the history of superhero movies.
Not Just one of the Best CBM ever made.... But One of the Best Movie ever made... Man Of Steel
💯
This here is the greatest superhero moment ever created for the big screen, no fan service.. no quippy statements… just pure chills
7 years and this scene here is still the one to beat when it comes to grandeur and emotional feel. Goosebumps.
Cinematography, music, casting, VFX, inspiration, character development... This scene is excellent in everything!
Just came back from watching the new Superman trailer - while I loved it, I don't think anything will ever beat 3:02 this scene of Superman learning to fly, coupled with Hans Zimmer's score that makes you feel like you're actually flying!
i love this scene but i do think james gunn’s superman has the potential to beat this
I love Hans Zimmer, but this is in fact John Williams' original 1970's score played with electric guitar.
The definition of a powerful scene that will go trough decades. Cinema.
This scene happened 10 years ago, there is still no other scene as iconic. Snyder introduced us to the real Man of Steel. I doubt anyone could do better.
Im gonna give the new guy a chance. But i doubt he will surpass with what i see with henrys superman.
Hopefully James Gunn makes a good superman legacy movie
New guy? What new guy? Is there a ' new guy? @@mranderson537
9 years, and this still mades me crying of joy. THIS IS BY FAAAR ONE OF MY FAV MOVIES SCENES OF ALL TIME❤
They don't make movies like this anymore.
Just wait til next year, then we'll have another movie like this,if not better
JL snyder cut 2021 just wait darkseid face kal el cool...
@@FlynnBTerrens yep, patiently waiting. I think its up for march 2021 release. However Man of steel hold a special place in my heart. It's still my favorite CBM of all time.
2021
@alexander soelaiman was saying this to my mates yesterday. It’s one of the very few movies I would say is perfect.
Thank you Henry Cavill for everything. No matter what you will always be our Superman🦸.
#ManOfSteel
Damn straight.
Henry cavill will always have a special place in my heart. He may have not been the one that introduced me to the character let alone make me fall in love with them but he was the one who made me believe a man could fly. I was there opening day watching this magnificent scene take place and it was utterly jaw dropping. It still gives me chills to this day, so sad we have to see him go because of such an incompetent studio
@@caramelcandysWe shouldn't be sad he is not superman anymore we must be happy he was superman.
Aside from Christopher Reeve
Big facts sir
"The only way to know how strong, is to keep testing your limits"
The most powerful words in this scene 🔥
"Fly, son. It's time."
😭😭😭
#RestoreTheSnyderVerse
Damn near cried when I heard his dad say those words! Lmao😢😂
The way he takes in the sun light just hits me every time. Sometimes the sun will beam into my bathroom while I shower in the morning and it feels like it has the same effect.
I can't describe how emotional and powerful this scene is for me. The score. The flight. Everything. It's a masterpiece.
One of my favorite subtle moments of this scene has always been the way Clark's body language completely changes when Jor-el says "... you can be a force for good". His shoulders go back and he immediately turns to the Superman costume. He's found his life purpose in that moment and it's so pure.
I'm here after watching the new Superman Trailer.
Man I Miss Man Of Steel
Same here bro
DOES NOT COMPARE ! No one compares to Henry Cavil's Superman
I still struggle to see how people can hate Snyders films especially Man of Steel which is by far the best Superman film ever
People hate what they don't understand.
@@who-ny5oe yep
There werent much superhero films back when film released. There were Dark Knight trilogy, Spiderman trilogy, Avengers, Iron Man and few more which all were masterpieces. This 1 in comparison wasnt as a masterpiece to some of those films (still regardless as materpiece). But nowadays with a lot more superhero films, most of them are terrible and makes people watch old superhero films and now undersstand how truly good Man of Steel is. You're welcome 😁
DC is not just entertainment, it's an inspiration it's a whole new world. It is the meaning of Life.
No disrespect whatsoever to Christopher Reeves' portrayal of Superman(which I loved dearly), this is the best Superman learning to fly sequence to date.
One of the best comic book movies ever made!
4th favourite for me
I remember seeing this in theaters on opening night. I was never really a big fan of Superman but *this* scene (and really, the entire film) floored me and made me fall in love. What a great movie.
I don’t know how they gonna top this scene, the sound break, the music, the grounding, the fall and rise, God! Goosebumps.
2:00 He's so happy lol
I would be too if I could fly like that lol
Best Superman ever! Give us more Snyderverse!!!
This was the greatest scene from all the recent DC movies. It was beautiful. Perfect down to the most minute details.
The best superhero movie of all time.
Cavill and Crowe is perfect.
Zimmer is perfect.
Snyder is perfect.
3:00 that drop is PERFECT.
Man of Steel is just perfection.
Love this movie but The Dark Knight is the best superhero movie of all time
Far from the best, but it is really good.
@@kyletaylor7252 That's how I know your reasoning is off because Batman is not a "superhero" why? Because he has no powers. So how can the "Dark Knight" be the best "superhero" movie? Need to think about that one boy!
Ever since the inception of Superman, people have wondered what it means to fly as he does. This scene captures that feeling so well.
I love that he starts off jumping the way the very first Superman comics had him, then he begins to fly.
The Best Superman!!!!
Thanks Cavill and Thanks Snyder
Man of Steel remains in millions of peoples hearts and minds, an iconic origin story of Superman. A true emotional powerhouse of a film, that will stand the test of time. The visuals are simply breathtaking, the score, and thematic storyline equally impressive. Zack Snyder redefined the genre of what Superhero films can achieve. Batman v Superman ultimate edition, takes it even one step further. Thanks to the millions of dedicated fans, we will now get to see, Snyder take it even FURTHER than ever before in Zack Snyder’s Justice League! 2021 prepare to have your minds blown. #TheSnyderCut
Snyder Cut canceled because Zack and Momoa were banging Amber Heard.
4:04 This is the best Superman flying we have ever gotten.
10000% true
People were not ready for this movie. It would have make a billion hit if it was released these past or future years♥💙
...sure.
I'm in the same arena of wishful thinking but you'll always have these crowds of ignorant self entitled simps that can only justify their pitiful existence by finding fault with everything. There's no pleasing everyone or even the majority of people anymore. I don't envy film makers
Especially compared to the trash we get now.
Man of Steel > Every MCU film!
Unlike forgettable MCU movies, MOS continues to age like fine wine 🍷❤️
I agree with u. Man of Stell for me is the best Superman movie. This movie is like Batman The Dark Knight of 2008.
I think the only MCU movie thats is powerful enough is The Avengers 4 part 1.
Yes sir.
Truth
Facts
No matter how much time pass, this will always be a gift for humanity. "The simbol of the House of El means hope. Embodied within that hope is the fundamental belief in the potential of every person to be a force for good"
This is such a beautiful scene. You can tell the amount of effort they put into this scene. Zack Snyder did well with this scene and movie
Idc how many times I watch this. This scene truly gives me hope and chills everytime
I agree with the first half of ur comment. Dc is done imo.

3:05 is the best part for any superhero 's soundtrack
Of Snyder's entire DCEU profile, this shot 0:56 is the most iconic for me. It's regal, and represents every Superman incarnation we've ever had.
This is literally one of if not my overall favorite scene from "Man Of Steel!" This is literally my favorite Superman film! Without a doubt!!! #DC
Cheers to that bro! This movie is a masterpiece, and so far ahead of it's time. It's been the Marvel fans who trash anything DC on the internet, and you know what, I been dishing it right back to them. MCU, and Marvel are just complete trash.
@@theminotaur8015I might disagree with you on the last part but I totally agree with you in the first part.
The thing with with Henry was, he always displayed the emotions of Superman exactly like he was supposed to. Idc what anyone says, Man of Steel was possibly the best Superman movie.
Philip...not "possibly," it is the best Superman movie. (likely the best superhero movie too)
The only thing that can beat this is Man of steel 2 directed by Zack Snyder again or Zack Snyder's justice league 2 and that's me saying this as general fan with no bias towards anything.

This movie is truly a masterpiece.

Some people say it didn’t make sense for the blue and red Superman suit that hologram Jor-El presented to Clark/Kal-El to fit him perfectly. That’s under the assumption that it was originally worn by Jor-El. I assumed while hologram Jor-El was talking to Clark, the Kryptonian ship was 3D-printing it and it just finished when presented to him.
Zack Snyder was the best thing to happen to DC since Richard Donner.
Donner, Burton, Nolan, Patty, Wan, Snyder
