The other guests and staff were trying not laugh in disgust, until they realised they'd all thought exactly the same thing, and secretly thought that the entire dish might have actually benefitted from some extra sprinkled quavers and pork scratchings on top, and maybe some gold leaf and caviar and winning lottery tickets and rolls-royce car keys etc.

She’s a diamond! You can’t go wrong with someone who looks that good and has such knowledge of the food they’re offering. They’re not paying her enough however much it is!
Truly enjoyed this episode. Guys who obviously love food which is a joy and scrumptious food. Have to say the staff was outstanding as well. Unfortunately I live in the US and will never taste the H&F but lived through you guys. Thanks mates!

Thanks for this. Always good when somebody takes time to explain the menu to you and how the food is put together. Tom gets a lot of stick for his prices but this is not your ordinary pub food and you are paying for top quality ingredients, skilful chefs and support staff. This is all about the experience and yes not everyone will be afford to eat there but they can experience it vicariously through your reels.

Try Sindhu in Marlow, Atul Kochhar's restaurant in the Compleat Angler hotel. If you want mind blowing gourmet indian food its incredible.

Thankyou Matt for bringing such an experience to myself you work hard so deserve eating some sublime food went there many years ago when Tom was on GBM his dish won the food was amazing fair play definitely would eat there again. Just a matter of interest Anthony Worrall Thompson restaurant The Greyhound is only 20 minutes up the road absolutely blinding steakhouse you need to go there and doesnt hit your pocket hard either.

I've eaten at the Hand and Flowers, and a big fan of Toms, often cooking from his books. The man is huge driving force in getting British food on the map.
People who knock him, really do not understand what he's about. To be fair, for what you pay at his restaurants for a 2 Michelin star meal is quite cheap.
2 stars isn't just the food, the level of service is incredible. Well done to you guys for ACTUALLY going there, and seeing for yourself, as opposed to people who never have, and moan at the cost!
I'm a big fan of Toms too. He really needs to sort out the crap Harrods are serving in his name in their fish & chips..........
I'm sure he is earning nicely from it, but it is not to his standard at £37 for fish & chips.

Have to say my mouth was watering through this whole video.The food looked fantastic.
Too many ignorant people complaining about the price.They have no idea !! The quality and skill that goes into such food is worth every penny.
I (my wife and I) love treating ourselves to great food and this place is now top of our list to try.

You have to try Canotto Pizza in East Kilbride Scotland it is unreal! Place doesn’t open until 5pm but it is worth it! Smash burgers too but only a Sunday!

Watching this I would be tempted to try the place however having previously been there 3 times already in the past, once as a mystery shopper for Green King, I can honestly say that none of the food I was ever given looked as good as this and was in fact tasteless and greasy there was even the smell of stale cooking oil in the car park. Friends of mine went about 6 months ago and were thoroughly disappointed in the standards of food and service, on a positive note another friend swears by the place and loves it so it seems to be very hit and miss.
You know, it’s good when you get the best seats in the house 😂😂😂 you know what I mean 👍

I think I had a moment about 6 times watching this and at one point I nearly cried. This is definitely on my hit list for 2024.

Food looks great , very comforting. Would have been nice to know how much the food was costing. No menu , no final bill so the viewers are non the wiser how much a trip here is going to cost them.
We did mention in the video I believe. It was £175 a head for the food. Cocktails were around £20. More than worth it for a treat in our opinion! ❤️

Yes it can. For a special treat, big birthday, any michelin star place is worth it. Expensive, yes, but memories that will last a life time. Still cheaper than a 0-0 draw at a premiership game.

Which part of this seems like a paid review? Did anything here look anything but faultless? Forged Irish stout is a sponsor, what does that have to do with this place? This is rich the owner of wingfest, did you not listen? We ate the food and paid the money just like everybody else

A lot of adjectives to describe the food but for three figures in a lunchtime what else would you expect to say? Treat yourselves and jess too, to the 8 course tasting menu at midsummers house in Cambridge, where Daniel Clifford cooks, if they let u film there? I got taken there for a work's dinner treat years ago, and keep thinking about the quail. Even their g&t's were really good.

What I would say is, that the food is good there but it's not 2 stars. 2 years back, I would say it was but prices have unfortunately gone up and quality has dropped. Still a great place to go though.
