- Groundbreaking Black country musician Charley Pride has died of COVID-19 complications at 86. In the 1970s, he became the best-selling performer for RCA Records since Elvis Presley. His final performance came one month ago at the CMA Awards.
Charlie Pride, you were one of the best of the country music when country was country, you were genuine, a true gentleman, R.I.P. Charlie, no one will fill your shoes !

The stupidity to having allowed this to take place is mind blowing. What the hell were they thinking? Poor Charley was 86 and at tremendous risk. SMFH!
I agree. He was in the high risk group. No masks, too near to him, young folk singing who are going out more than older folk. So sad, he didn't deserve to go this way. Like Merle Haggard hevwas hardly able to sing but fans kept expecting so much.
Grew up listening to Charlie Pride Gospel and Country Music in the early 70 's One of my favourite Gospel songs Take time out for Jesus. Gone but still his music and legacy will live on
I have danced to his music for many years. Saw him in concert. Got to meet him. He was the sweetest gentleman. Will never forget his smile. Another legend gone.😢💙

Just because Charlie died with the 2020 popular COVID 19 Label does NOT mean that it was the true cause of death, (while most other causes of death became non existent in 2020). We know what's really going on in this world, & it's gotten to the point where it's hard to trust ANYONE, whether they be Doctors, Nurses, Politicians, Mainstream News, & anyone else who follows the orders given by Govt. the WHO, the UN, Etc.......
