@Sandra Lee Weeks-Hubbard And most people didn't care about skin color. Now it's become a major issue, especially with liberals that push identity politics.
I grew up on all these country singers and never cared what color they were. I just liked the music and the message in the lyrics of the songs.
But since we're name dropping black country artists, look up Tony Jackson if you want to hear a man with a great voice.

Charley Pride was the singer that made me think of my Grandmother most. She loved Charley Pride & all of his music. Especially, this song. This is the 1 I remember her singing the most. I have always called it, Me & my Grandmothers song. She always sang this song whenever I would go & visit her. Thank You, Charley. :)

We listen to music that we could understand what they were saying not to this rap crap they got out there I mean that’s just unreal kids nowadays don’t respect nobody not even themselves they wear their pants down to their names and they got two pairs a drawer zone one might be green one might be red and then pulling them up so there ask don’t show they are horrible nowadays you can’t with the child now because of child abuse if you spank him a weapon they called OCS Sonia or maybe they can pile OCS on me all they want because I’m a beat the hell out of my kids if they do me wrong I’m too damn over that and they were raised better than that my son knows what it is to get out and have to break ice in a crawfish pond and make your day crawfishing all day for a dollar or two I remember me getting up in the mornings with my daddy and going flagging feels rice feels better and feels farming that’s a hard life Charlie pride was raised up hard I miss him I love his singing and like y’all saying the music they got nowadays is nothing like that in the 50s and 60s and 70s that’s good music I was born in 54 so I love my 50s and 60s I love the swamp pop music like Johnny Allen Client West all them girls singers that’s domino Percy sledge all that good music

I'm not American. I'm son of Irish immigrants, born in London, UK, in the 1985.
My mother was a fan of Country. This era (and before), not the later stuff. Many Irish people were. Songs of home, small towns, loves and losts.
I remember pulling vinyls out and seeing Charlie's face. He stood out. Obviously. My mother loved his music.
It's really, quite, I dunno... weird - this space America seems to be in. A 'black' person being a fan of Country, that's almost a unicorn. Probably gets some grief about it. I'm not unawares of American history, but, yeah, always seems a bit weird to me.
Anyways, I liked your comment. That's all, really. Good luck. God bless.
