I tried to master one arm pushups in 60 days. In this video I share my one arm pushup training exercises and the calisthenic body weight exercises I used. Hopefully this can be a useful how to for y'all to see how to train one arm push ups.
Have a great week guys! Cheers.

Well done man but you need to progress from this every time you get into good shape you seem to let it slip and lose all your progress
“I continued my slow and steady health and physical fitness journey in a smart and non-gimmicky way that promotes full body fitness over the course of several months or even years” doesn’t get quite as many clicks.
@@ZachRiley is that a quote from him? I suppose I don't really agree with that as his muscle memory always is able to get him back into shape a bit faster each time he loses shape but I'm no scientist btw! Then again we all have our most effective methods of getting into the shape that were happy with maybe he's still looking for his!
@@itzcolm8737 I think he was just saying how it wouldn't work for these various titles

I learned the one arm push up in just 15 minutes. Check the video out ruclips.net/video/SZ4MXJaB5ik/видео.html
Meanwhile here I am trying to master two arm push-ups like a sucker
@@ethansprague2005 not sure thats a very good idea, maybe every other day.
Here's what I did, for about a month I would do as many pushups as I could, rest for a few minutes, and then do 2 more sets of 10 less than my max. So I started out doing 20 pushups and then 2 more sets of ten. When I got to being able to do around 50 pushups, I started doing 20 less on the second and thirds set, so I would do 50 pushups and then two sets of 30. I was making progress pretty quickly and gained some pretty nice definition in my chest and biceps.
Push ups won't help you achieve one arm. Do archer push ups.
@@neemmol7734 if he struggles with normal push-ups, what makes you think he can do Archer pushups
do slowly controlled negatives over and over until you come down faster than 1.5 seconds and then stop do it every other 2 days bro and when you reach 50 negatives that average 2.5 seconds on the descent without spending most of that time at the top but at the bottom you will get there man
really pushed yourself there
Alright Callum that’s enough puns for today
this comment should be pushed up
Yup,but don’t push yourself with the puns.

Thanks a lot for all you do! Goal guys, I am in love with your determination and discipline. This channel is growing fast and you deserve 100%. I cant wait to see what you are going to bring to the future!
Thanks so much!
When you get stuck at 5. That's your breathing letting you down!
You ran out of air, panted to get it back, and lost your core control
Not only that, I had the feeling that he was strugling to do the final rep not only because of air, but because he almost had no strength left, maybe focusing more on triceps exercises would help him as well
5 reps is not mastery of anything, 100 should be considered mastery
1000 subs with no content I’d like to see you attempt 100 1 arm pushups
1000 subs with no content 5 reps is mastery with these types of exercises, 10 seconds of a straddle planche is considered mastery
Well done man, you have such a great channel!! Keep it up brother

An impossible feat i thought i couldn’t do 2 years ago.
Now i look at myself and am doing it with my routine.
This video is great it helped me remember of my past days.
What the heck I had the same idea a few weeks ago but I never got around to it. Cool video!
hmm. I like this challenge. I remember being super fit in the summer last year and easily doing one-armed pushups without realizing that I was able to do them. I suppose I was much much lighter and super active. I really should get back on track to do them again. Thanks for the motivation.
I'm a simple man, I see Goal Guys upload a video, I watch that video.
This video basks great editing! 1 arm handstand pushups next?
Eventually I'd love to see you take on the pike pushup so I can get the general idea of how you'd take it on.

Good needed video to remind me of doing multiple reps of one arm pushups. 🙏 I did my first ever single arm push-up (both sides) about a month ago (no training) when I was messing around. Have not tried since, but plan to work on efficiency as like your vid mentioned- there are so many other benefits of it, too.
Good luck! Hope it goes well!
welcome to B. C. you're going to love it here.
Loved the editing on this video.
Yep
Thanks! I will pass that on to Cam who does the final edit on all of these videos.
Congratulations on getting them! I am sure if you do another dexa scan that you'll be a lot more balanced
Next level content 👌
that moment on the last set of five with the left arm, where he almost gave up, but changed his mind is so rad
Love the video mate! I've also made a couple to document my process of gaining weight & muscle (though my filmography is not quite at your level yet). Keep them coming! 😁
This deserves way more views
Awesome that you completed it. Alarming that you have a bench in your living room D:
Man it feels so good when u can do all these exercises
hey love the vid! i had a question: it says 60 days but surely you must have taken rest days, was it one day on and one day off or did you train every day of the 60, ot 2 days off in between etc? im going to film a video of my progress on these too but dont want to get injured training everyday.
respect bro👍
Well done on the five 1 arm push ups man👊🏻
One tip if I may:
Try squeezing your butt and abs at the end when you feel you cannot get up and are incline to touch the deck with your other hand. It gives you a magical boost and you will be able to complete the rep.
However it is much better to keep 2-3 Reps in the tank instead of going all out. You would be able to do more quality sets like this.
I used this method (called GTG) and increased my 1 arm push up from 4 to 15 in lockdown👍🏻
Pavel 💪
1:07 that's how i do regular pushups 😂
Knee pushups ftw💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
@ Nice work young Man !...perhaps there can be a RUclips one arm push up challenge to emulate...?
Not bad!
I should start doing assisted arm push-ups.. I am doing archer push-ups , though..
Good job
Not sure how tall you are (or your standing reach), but I saw the Raptors hoodie, so maybe learning to dunk? This one will take much longer, maybe a few years depending on your current vertical and standing reach, but it could be a cool background project. Perhaps a 500k/1M special?
Nice bro I try this challenge for me
Did you do push ups every day?
And did you ever max out on regular push ups after this challenge? Curious how much you got. You must be way stronger now :)
Great job.
If your around Vancouver you should do a vid on training to do the the grouse grind in under 40 mins
This man has motivation of a god
Great!
I never trained for the one arm pushup but I found I was able to do 2 one day out of nowhere. The reason was because I was doing bench presses, 30 diamond pushups, and clapping pushups. I can do 7 in a row now on each arm.
You are very impressive human being, sir.
I had the same idea, but you had a higher level at beginning. After 3 months of training, I achieved to reach your starting level lol
What kind of scan gave you that data on your body composition?
I gotta try this challenge
my shoulder popped watching this
You should try the one-arm pullup next!
these definitely help with my backpains.
How many rest days did you take per week?
How's the chess going? Great video by the way
gg man i'm proud of you
Do learning front lever next
I went to do one of these for fun and was surprised I could actually do some, my advice is once you can bench your own body weight, you should be able to do a one armed pushups
Wow, it's much harder than it seems! I do love wasabi mayo though... ;)
How many times a week did you do the workout?
honestly really wish you wouldve done like a bench press before and after, to show if it makes a quantifiable difference in strength or more accurately how much of a difference it makes
You buckle in the abs and lower back because doing so makes the exercise easier. It's not because your core is weak.
If his core was strong enough he wouldn't need to make it easier wouldn't he
Well, both.
You don't shoot snook with a rope...
Amazing work brother.
However, as a dude doing perfect oapu for 5 years and 3 months now (yeah I remember the day when I first got it) with both arms, I think there is something I can teach your about the form.
The perfect form should be like this...
Pressing hand beneath pressing pec.
Feet no more than shoulder width apart.
Torso parallel to floor.
Legs straight, body locked straight and no part is sagging.
Chest touches ground and elbows lock straight in the end.
Pigmie is awesome!!
Train for a one arm pull up next!
How much regular push ups can you do?
Can you try to overhead press your own bodyweight?
Upcoming challenge : One Arm Push Up with feet close together
Lmao
Upcoming challenge: One arm Push Up while doing a hand stand with feet together*
A one-arm push up with your feet together is basically a one-armed diamond push up. That's an elite fucking club.
The decrease in leverage from slight spread to no-spread is huuuuuge. I've no EMG or napkin physics to prove this but I'm guessing like 35% more strength in the triceps/chest and like 70%+ more in a ton of stabilizing muscles/tissue.
Lol you mean an *actual* One Arm Push Up?
That Seige music has started up again.
this makes me realise how easy it is to progress as an 18 year old and i better not take it for granted
Brendan, we update on your muscle up progress.
Great video. the best think what I like in your push ups that you making them in correct form. Can you maybe look into my channel push up video and advise does it look good form or I need to improve?
I really matter your opinion as you taking everything into details.
Hi
How many two handed push-ups cud u do with 2 hands in one set before doing this chllng???
Ryhhik
Anybody knows the music at @04:54 ?
I haven't started watching yet, but 60 days seems like a crazy long amount of time to learn one thing. Especially because you've done so many of these videos, you should be able to do push-ups, in general, fairly well. I feel like you would actually be pushing yourself if you set a shorter time frame. 14 days sounds good. Hard, but obtainable.
Cheeky tip:
Don't stretch before exercising, only after. Stretching before can increase your risk of injury.
Mobility exercises are awesome to do before though.
Dynamic stretching before exercise reduces risk of injury.
Exercise specific static stretching can also be beneficial depending on the exercise. For example, static stretching of wrists before performing handstands. As done by all elite level gymnasts and hand balancers.
Ghost Inspired
A systematic review of the literature by the American College of Sports Medicine found that stretching before exercise does not prevent injury.
A study (can’t remember who by off the top of my head but can probably find out if needed) found that dynamic stretching before exercise does not prevent injury.
Interestingly enough, I couldn’t find anything that supports my original comment either. The consensus among the sports science community is that stretching before exercise has no effect.
Ghost Inspired i agree about the dynamic stretching. It also increases body temp which makes you more ready for exercise
@@maddhatter6938 The quickest search ever on scholar and you'll find so many studies that speak to the contrary towards your comment.
Dynamic stretching, depending how specific you are, can be as simple as walking before a run. With that simple example: walking prior to running allows the muscles, tendons, ligaments of the ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, spinal column, to experience loading of a very managable intensity to promote synovial fluid secretion and raises blood flow. To further that dynamic warm-up with high knees walking (hip compression and glute stretch), heel to butt kicks (hamstring compression and quad stretch), lunges (full body balance, core engagememt, quads/glutes/hips contraction under minor load), will provide even further stimulus into the running specific muscle groups. This provides apt amounts of fluid secretion to synovial joints, blood flow to muscles that will soon be in great requitement for oxygen, and increased mobility to allow for greater ranges of motion and balance. Thus preventing injury. Not inhibiting injury, but reducing the likelihood. Percentage based prevention.
Athlean-X has a daily mobility stretching routine I follow before every workout.
Come back when you are able to do a 3 arm push up.
Lend me your hand and I'll be sure to do it
My kitchen floor is too dirty. Guess I'll have to skip that challenge
Haha, be tough, getting hands dirty is amazing.
That's a great excuse!
Wow ok so this was hard. I was able to 2 without ever doing them before. But I DO over 400 normal pushups everyday. Props to this guy.
You should try doing a handstand push up! They're stupid hard!
