- I've been living in my Ford Transit Connect for two months and love it. It's a perfect size for me! However, it gets VERY cold up here so I got an apartment for the colder months. I wish I could live in it year-round but it's not feasible, especially for a smaller vehicle like the Connect that requires some degree of cooking outside. :(

You are a very impressive...because you are a survivalist. You are saving so much money, i.e. dorm w cafeteria or an apartment would 12K a year maybe (low end). A young woman with iron will.love it...keep up the good work. Tips: you could easily rig up a make shift pressurized shower with a garden sprayer. Just swap out the nozzle for a shower head. For security, keep a air horn and pepper spray ready.
My husband and I are watching you build a pullout bed on tv, cooking, running and going to school. I think I need a nap! Wonderful adventures to you!❤

Hey hun, I love your vibe. I relate to everything you say it’s sooo funny! I’m just finishing my Masters in Wales and living in my van full time for 3 months now. Busy writing my dissertation and hahah the shower comment, I don’t shower sometimes for 3 days and when I do it’s like heaven. I’m working part time 3 days a week it’s super awesome although I’m looking forward to finishing my dissertation as I’m keen to hit the road.
Just want to say you are inspirational person, who will change and touch so many lives. I wish you all the best for future endeavours!
My first cousin lived in his car for the first 2 years of law school. It gets cold up here in Nova Scotia in the winter. Don't know how he did it. Good luck with your masters.

Cool. I totally agree with you, and do the same in my van living life. Showering every three to four days is awesome, and just throwing food into a pan is turns out always tasty. 🙌👍

I cook and do it most inside of my mini-camper.
Because outside it is forbidden, here in Germany.
Only allowed in public at camp- and rv-grounds. But you must pay for every day there.
But it is too expensive for me. But i don´t want to pay for. For the reason for legal parking and doing.
We got the planet earth for free. So I wanna live and do it, for free.
I like the sliding bed.

Need to insulate your van...i was going to do that to my topper but here in canada always freaking raining. Good luck in your adventures!!!
Thank you! It is insulated, the ceiling and walls with Havelock Wool and the floor with foam board. It still gets cold pretty quickly though.

Yes it's right on campus! When I took my trip out west I was in the woods and without service for a few days at a time. But always kind of "off grid" in this vehicle. :) Agreed!!

I do, but I wouldn't want to live in it all winter. Expensive to buy so many propane cans and risky to be inside an enclosed space with a propane heater running every night. :)
