This video reinforced my view that Sam is the best car RUclipsr out there, Entertaining and well produced. It doesn't matter that the cars are unaffordable . It's great escapism. Keep it up Sam.
I appreciate that!
4.0 litre V8s are popular but you gotta love the V12.
A V12 with four people in it and some bags will always be cool.
The GTC4Lusso would be a better choice. It’s just as “off-road capable,” has better styling, and has buttons instead of touch sensitive controls
@JStryker7 I look at used gtc4's often haha. A man can dream!
But the car itself is hideous
@@JStryker7Purosangue is better
@@steven_taylor_ that’s your opinion, not mine
Half way through this review Sam and I am always blown away with your high level of filming. Your unique touch to your videos does set you apart and is worth celebrating. Love that Urus actually and I think the Urus S offers a bit more comfort than the Urus Performante I have spent time with too. £250k saving over the Ferrari is nothing short of a bargain at this level of premium car🎉
The Purosange in dark blue spec with cream interior would be the dream 👌
You need to re evaluate your dreams
Shmee is it you?
@@Snarfcat I should have said dream spec

Has the McLaren video gone in the bin?, 😂..
I was looking forward to it 🥺
Hahah BTG GANG
It experienced some 'minor quality control' issues. According to McLaren PR, all future ones will be 'issues' free.
If it’s gone in the bin it should be released somewhere for the BTG crew so we can watch it!! We are loyal and don’t care if it’s “substandard”!
@@scottlenahan8228 could slice it up make some shorts???
I’ve always liked both vehicles but the Ferrari is just classier. As we know the Urus is part Audi, the Ferrari is pure Ferrari. Also, love to see/hear mph figures also quoted on kmh.I live in Australia and we went metric 50 yrs ago.
Best video for my sunday espresso☕
Ditto. For the length of this video I had to get a second espresso...perfect Sunday morning
A bit of Ginger Lemon tea for me..but we are all sipping which is the important thing. Cheers and Happy Sunday!
Ever since I saw the picture comparing the Purosangue to a Mazda I cannot unsee it's Mazdaness.
Such a shame because...
I was never in the market for either anyway
Gods country mate and you will have touched a fraction of the possibilities. There’s a different landscape everywhere you go and some silky smooth driving roads if you look hard enough. Keep up the great content 💪💙
The Lamborghini is a chav mobile and the Ferrari a class act ! ❤
Agree urus is the new Range Rover bellendmobile
Hear hear. It is jumped up VW, for those who do not know what makes a car special.
Lamborghini always made cars for posers, Ferrari's are for the classy gentleman who wants something with a racing heritage.
Yet you guys can’t afford any of them 🤷🏻♀️
It's incredible that adding 2 extra doors to the GT4 Lusso suddenly made it cool. Ferrari practically stealing money. 😂
What you said is correct, you could have the Urus as a perfect one car garage but you'll need a another car to go alongside the Ferrari. Great video Sam 👍
That's because the Urus is just a modified Audi Q8. The Q8 was designed to be family-oriented vehicle. The Purosangue was designed from the beginning to be a pure high-performance SUV.
Really enjoyed this comparison. Thanks for the lite reviews.
You mentioned the 488. What are your thoughts between the 458 and 488? 458 are pretty strong in the market here is USA and I love N.A. vehicles but, like anyone, don’t want to overpay based upon an emotion or perceived value. Haven’t driven either. Thanks and really enjoy your presentation style and content.
You’re videos and cut scenes (if that’s what they are called) are pure art
The spec on that Ferrari is out of this world🥵
bro the B roll > absolute made with patience > love it
I test drove a Puro for a week. Thoughts, beautiful outside but some remarked nothing like a 812. Drives beautifully , sounds very good. Negatives, interior I think is very poor for the money, a cullinan, which is cheaper is in a different league. It wants you to drive quickly, which when in cities or with families, is not very relaxing and you can easily look your licence. Practicality poor (not a suv and not a sports car). So totally agree if you have several cars , great but as a two car garage, doesn't work. Definitely not worth the money, should be £200,000 cheaper
I own a puro
Half a millions dollars with 4 doors but isn’t practical?
Only Ferrari gets away with that bullshit. 🤦🏿♂️
@@gaara4667You pay for the NA V12 and that too in 2024.
The best part was that house, countryside shots and that Range Rover classic, Love it !
I think I would have enjoyed a 30 min Yorkshire travelvlog more 😀 Quite the tanks xD
Awesome video
Love the honest opinions as always. The extra Twiggy footage was very welcome as well
Family road trip vlog perhaps??
I like how Sam gets excited about the Ferrari when the lambo feels like a q8. I rather have a 458 Italia rather than a 488.
YEP up north, you dont need the daft accent....
but heyy, we have great roads, great views & anyone can have a great time!!
Excellent video Sam. You really convey through both your emotions and your great words the difference between them! Can clearly see where they lie. Thanks for letting us feel like we can live like you for a day in this video!
I assume the McLaren video isn’t coming then 😂
Once you go beyond the X5M competition. The only 2 answer is the Aston Martin 707 or the urus.
I think you should do more day in the life with a car videos Sam. These kind of videos, picking up from a garage just feel less authentic and promotional ❤ - my favourite video you ever did, was the 24hrs in a Rolls-Royce!
I am amazed that the dealer let you drive out of the showroom as they are usually paranoid about that and that you appeared to be driving without any trade plates. Good video
In previous videos, he’s shown that he has a good relationship with the dealer and the guy who owns it, so it’s pretty normal in the videos for him to do that just going on prior vids
The VAG-Group Urus is a dolled up VAG with a little added spice. Made to maximize the amount of money you can extract from a VAG platform. The Purosangue is an actual Ferrari. I think the VAG-Group products would win if you compared an Audi SQ8, or perhaps a Porsche Cayenne, to the Purosangue, on value for money. ..but the Ferrari is the real deal. I do agree with the haptic buttons needing to die a fiery death, and that gear selector is pathetic. Lets the car down.
That range rover is 👌🏻
20:58 cogs we’re turning in Sam’s head there 😁
You hit the nail on the head. Urus is the better daily SUV, while the purosangue is more supercar like. Although I will say I'm not a fan of the purosangue's subdued styling. I'd rather have an Urus and an 812
That fighter pilot start button did it for me. Shallow? Yeah......!
Just drama, nothing special mechanically.
Future Mondials here
In osmotherly most days did you see the lotus in the village did see the range rover
Another fantastic video
So, basically the ultimate hot hatch showdown?
What a life. Spoiled 😅
The V12 in the Ferrari does it for me.
Love the old Rangey. I had a toy one in the 70’s in a bronze colour.
Superb video.
What a great comparison test
I’m not sure what the point is of that Purosague. If it isn’t an SUV that can do everything then it’s just a big, bulky car that isn’t a sports car either even if it sounds great. What were they thinking?
They were thinking about making a practical Ferrari with a V12 and you also very well know that the Urus is just an overpriced VW touareg/Audi Q7/Q8 and majority of the owners don't have the guts to take it off road and let's face it, it's no Land Rover in terms of off-roading, just another lambo made for posers to pose around. Ferrari did a better job of making a performance 4 door car and that's why Lambo doesn't give magazines to compare the Urus with the Purosangue.
@@steven_taylor_ the Audi/Lamborghini shared platforms are no different than Ferrari/Maserati doing the same thing. It saves development costs when shared across brands under the same ownership. Everyone does it and Ferrari are no different. Look a little more closely at your favourite Ferraris and you’ll see it too. But seriously, I love Ferrari too so this isn’t just me having a fanboy moment/jab at your favorite brand. But Lamborghini DO HAVE Urus off-road and winter driving events for owners worldwide
@@lamborghiniregistry Nope Ferrari doesn't share anything with Maserati's these days, they have separated from Fiat since 2015. The Purosangue is built on Ferrari's own platform. Looks like you don't have much information on Ferrari's but that's understandable. And the Urus is just an overpriced VW AG product with a tractor maker's badge.
@@lamborghiniregistry Organising off-road and winter driving events doesn't make that VW a great off-roader, as I said before it's not Land Rover.
@@lamborghiniregistry Lambo knows very well how good the Purosangue is as they have denied to give magazines the Urus for comparison with the Purosangue.
I’m fortunate enough to live nearby and daily drive a classic Range Rover. It has its moments
Hard to justify either of these over a Brabus G-wagon I think; similar pricing but the latter majorly outdoes them in every way
These are undoubtedly two very desirable and capable cars, yet I prefer the more romantic idea of having a Chiron Pur Sport alongside a slightly rusty Defender 90. It's decided. Now where is my money?!
Can I come along on one of your videos? Love them!
did the purosangue have the active suspension equipped?
I like the purosamwitch more. Sounds unbelievable
Does the Lotus Elletre stand a Chance against Urus or Purosangue ?
@@ALXXR63AMG Check Whatcar's comparison test but unfortunately there's no Urus in that as Lambo were scared to give them one for comparison test with a Purosangue.
Amazing car! But I think the 12c will be looked back on as the most special one, being the first of the Mclaren super cars since the F1 and it is the only one that looks quite different to everything that has come since. In fact, it seems to be looking more amazing now than back then... Enjoy! Love Mclaren 😊
Apart from the front, 12C doesn't look much different from the 650S and 675LT.
@@steven_taylor_indeed and that 12c front makes it more unique IMO 😊
welcome to new fast
I'm italian and I love both brands, but let's be real you buy a Lambo if you want to show off, but if really love driving you buy a ferrari
Absolutely true
At 25:49
Sam starts to understand why tom moved to the countryside from london.
If u had money and wanna buy among one these two go for lambo urus its value for money
Out of all the cars that featured on this video, for me, the highlight has to be seeing Twiggy again. Cars and Dogs, can't go wrong with that.
Did you manage to save the drone Sam?
I have to admit, the Urus S is a lot of car for the money and is a much more attractive package all around. The Purosangue on the other hand, seems too compromised as it is not a sport car, nor a practical 4x4. Overpriced too.
Wonky stitching on the Urus dash would drive me Mad....And HOW MUCH do they cost..!!!!
Purosangue is another level!!
Yes another level of ugliness.
Double the price though! O_o
I’ve been watching STG for many years and only just realised opening intro music bg is the very similar one used for p*rnhub 😅
The Urus Performante would have been a fairer choice for comparison, and the Urus in itself has the merit (if not advantage) of having been on offer for quite a few years. Lamborghini must have suspected that Ferrari would sooner or later have an answer of its own, and the Purosangue is it. While being a fan (for very different reasons) of both brands, like you I would chose the Purosangue, among other reasons because I find it quite handsome and the Urus pretty ugly. And of course nothing matches the pleasure of having a V12 under the bonnet, even more so if there is a prancing horse on the steering wheel. 😎
I’d take a used GTC4Lusso instead
Maybe in 25 years I’ll be able to afford one of these things (that’s been in a previous accident of course)
Pods? Say it ain't so!
I did wonder.
You can get an 812 and an Urus for the price of a Purosangue 😂
Ferrari should have put the TTV6 Hybrid in the FUV and the V12 in the 296. That would get everyone excited.
The market doesn't say so. The 296 is supposed to a fun car with less weight, a V12 would have increased its weight and defeated the purpose of a fun car. The Purosangue, as car, doesn't need to be concerned too much about its weight as it's a practical car and a V12 just makes it an unique proposition and more emotional to drive than its so called competitors.
@@steven_taylor_ Turbos and electric motors add weight, EVO magazine weighed the 296 GTB at 1660kg, merely 30kg lighter then my 2009 DBS, a cushy GT car with a 5.9L NA V12.
@@nickorette You don't realise do you, the 296 was always going to be a hybrid and a hybrid V12 is heavier than a hybrid V6.
Id prefer a cullinan over the purosangue
RSQ8 for me.
the one time I stood next to a urus I thought it looked closer to a crossover than an suv so the ferrari must be really tiny
16:56 Panel gap
Ferrari all day and that urus looks an Audi/Volkswagen/Pontiac Aztec t r a s h Ferrari fUV for me v12 bespoke
Urus definitely does look like the Aztek, I wonder why nobody pointed that out?
I'd prefer the Urus as you can actually use it. The Ferrari is too compromised to be good at either.
The Urus is really a rebadged RSQ8. They share too much similarities to make it feel special. While the Purusangue is pure Ferrari. No sharing.
As a valet at a well known mega resort in Las Vegas for many years I've driven over 70 Urus amd about 15 RSQ8. Trust me while they have similarities, they in no way feel the same. The Urus feels more special, it's quite a difference. I thought too they would feel the same and it's not close, it's not just the visual it's how it feels, the throttle, the steering, the suspension, it's the total package that makes a Lamborghini a Lamborghini. If you think the RSQ8 is a Urus you'd be surprised when driving them back to back.
Ferrari sounds like a Nissan VQ engine note.... strange
purosangue has no infotainment or large touch screen?
I bay GTC4LUSSO
which super suv should one buy? none just get that range rover ffs
Holiday homes, controversial!
Ferrari looks class and the lambo looks chav
You love the Puro. Its obvious. 😂😂😂😂
That Ferrari steering wheel is button vomit. Look at the Porsche Sports Steering Wheel in the 997.2/991.1 if you're interested in perfection
Great video Sam. Lovely location.
I would have the original Range Rover in a heartbeat over the two overpriced wannabee's. Yes, it is a bit agricultural, but that just encourages respectful driving - more suited to sauntering around the Shires. Just look at the visibility in the car.
The Lamborghini and Ferrari are just too.....too much for UK country roads. Too big, too loud, too fast and not particularly practical. Very shouty....look at me!
Oh, and too expensive as well.
If the reg number is original to the car, I may have sold that Range Rover new!
This biased ass review. 😂 might as well just reviewed the Purosangue by itself lmaoooo
Simplyfied: chavvy, classy!!🤔🤔
The Urus is a decorated cake, it is a VAG parts bin car w/ Lambo fakery, complete w/ fake vents. The Purosangue is literally a Ferrari from top to bottom, legit Ferrari. That being said, the Uras looks better and honestly a very good car.
I’m getting Forza horizon vibes from this video
Sam you forgot the Urus gives pathetic middle aged driver vibes. All said, that Purosangue spec has to be the most revolting spec I’ve seen in a long while!
The Lambo is just vulgar, the spec doesn’t help but I really don’t see why you’d buy it over an RSQ8, in a sleeper spec I’m sure it’s better but the premium over the Audi is baffling!
If I was in market for a utility vehicle of any sort, these two wouldn’t make it on to my shortlist. Fast family daily hacks? Yes, but again, I can think of othe4 stuff.
So for price of the Ferrari, I could have a reasonably specced 911 carrera (sporty), a defender (utility) and a golf diesel or 1.5 petrol (daily hack) depending on; how much time I spend in the city.
Frankly, why in gods name bother with equipping with hill descent control, I bet the only owner who’s used that is shmee and even he won’t have got the tyres dirty enough to test it or bother with the gymkhana car park off road setting
And anything I had left over, I’d put in to a restomd Range Rover classic
You definitely need to get back there to Yorkshire with the family and some friends (maybe take the challenge straddle up), it’s gods own country isn’t it! Tempted to look in to holiday homes myself!
Uranus all day long
I was looking forward to watching you to trying to not throw up in an Artura
Honestly, the price of the Ferrari makes these cars not rivals anymore. The lack of SUV capabilities or features also make the Ferrari kinda out of anything else’s league….. I mean the likes of Urus and X6M and Cullinan can’t even be considered SUV’s like the G wagon. But that Ferrari cosplaying as an overpriced Mazda is even worse still….. it has no rivals. It’s its own thing, its own ugly, overpriced, unnecessary but cool thing.
Ferrari doesn’t call it an SUV anyway. It’s a raised sports cars with 5 doors and which can seat 4 people. Why all the fuss?
Let’s be real, they just lifted and stretched a GTC4 lusso and doubled the price. Pure blood? Nah, more like pure profit.
The Ferrari is special, the Urus isn't. It's really the Urus that is overpriced considering it's just an Audi.
I can see your perspective but you seem very biased against it. Lol
No one needs a Lamborghini and no one needs a Ferrari. Buy something special or buy a Audi with a body kit.
The sooner black over black with black wheels trends out the better imho. Also the Urus is an SQ8 with a badge. The Ferrari however…
The black colour does not suit the Ferrari. It hides the lines too much.
The way you convey your emotions while driving makes one feel like they are the ones experiencing it for themselves. Keep up the good job!
The only gripe that is that the engine isn't a true lambo engine. In fact it has a Porche engine and that to me is a win for Ferrari
And it’s looks smaller because it’s not an suv more an ff or crosstrek
I like them both but I just can't justify the price of the Ferrari, I can't even justify the price of the Urus. I would pick the green Range Rover over both to be honest.
I do hear what you’re saying but the “can’t justify” argument could be applied to pretty much any car range. Can you justify Rangies at £150k when a Disco gets 90% of the way there for £100k and doubtless costs 90% as much to manufacture ? It all comes down to the individuals attitude to frivolity: neither of the two cars in the film are for spendthrifts even if they’re multi-millionaires…
@@venom5809 Urus having Audi parts all over and underneath it and with a price tag of 2X that of a RSQ8 isn't only justified. The Ferrari is a V12 car with 4 doors and any V12 Ferrari should be priced like that or more.
Towing Ferrari's "it's not an SUV" line is hilarious. Ferrari made a vehicle to compete with, or be a substitute in for, a SUV so it's an SUV. FUV? Lol. The idea behind your video proves the point even more (and contradicts your statement immediately).
.
Oh and why can't we all just agree that a Lamborghini really DOES need a Lamborghini power train to be considered and actual Lambo?
4:3 ratio with the classic range rover and a vhs filter with these cinematic shots please
An SQ7 will give me 90% of the fun of that lambo, but with even more practicality.
There is a whiff of Mazda going on with the Ferrari to my eyes
Your comment is so original
Looks like a toyota from front too with them prius/camry/crown headlights
How many of them?
@@gentnextdoorbut is it wrong? No.
@@jptj7729 Completely different cars. Don't be fooled by the adjusted comparison images used online to make them look very similar. You'd have to be blind or plain stupid to think they are similar. Its the same as people saying the Bugatti Chiron and Tourbillon are the same, and as always, its always the people who can't afford the cars say that. Believe me, any person commenting the Purosangue is a mazda, will suddenly forget that if they had the money to buy the Ferrari. There just insecure trolls!
Nahhh. I’ll take the countryside home & the 79’ Rover! 👌🏼
