- Iran has seen an eighth straight night of protests sparked by the death of a young woman detained by the country's religious police. Crowds of protesters gathered hours after counter-demonstrations backed by the government. The unrest has spread to towns and cities across Iran. Activists say at least fifty anti-government protesters have been killed by Iranian security forces.

With all due respect to the war in Ukraine, this is nothing new in Iran and many other parts of the world. Read about green movement in Iran. Uprisings against this government have happened many time since the revolution and likely thousands of protestors have had their lives taken. I mostly appreciate the sentiment of your post but the first sentence is slightly condescending by presuming that the rest of the world was not aware of the cost of freedom before

This is the first time that Ukraine is defeating the Russians and even Putin must be surprised by the determination and bravery he encounters. Iranians are resisting from North to South. Every Iranian is aware and more than 80 cities joined the manifestations. The amplitude is bigger than what is shown in foreign media. We have access to independent Iranian media and they shared many information. It's a huge uprising.
It's the first time that I feel hope after so many years.
Politicians need to know that society changes over time as nature does so too. Instead of clinging into the past with outdated policies, change for the future.
Sadly certain religion won't ever allow that and they are coming to West in waves

What I like about all this protesting is that men are there too supporting the women protesting.
Because its the minority of men than think woman are below us and need to be repressed.

Absolutely. Blessed are the Pure in Heart... Faith is in the heart, not in some external ritual. In the case of Islam it's all external ritual enforced by so called Morality Police. These Police believe that not wearing a Hijab correctly is a sin, but killing isn't a sin. I can see why people are becoming atheists in Iran.
