In the other side, in middle East in general and specifically in Iran. We have dictatorship political groups and governments don't believe in Humans rights. They stay in power for decades and treat their own people and neighbours like fuel for war. Don't compare the beautiful democracy to the ugly dictatorship.

Their fight is quite impressive: some dramatic scarf burning with a dance and hair cutting, plus serious rioting at the Iran Embassy in London,...We have yet to see any protest in front of a government building in Iran, isn't that interesting?

Brave women and people of Iran need your serious support world leaders, they need to be heard and taken seriously, the emphasis should be on women's rights and human rights; they also need access to satellite internet, reliable emergency medical and first aid, mental health support, and financial support, including more international scholarships for students who want to live in peace and safety. Sanctions have put more pressure on innocent people :( Please help them

Watch Merjane Satrapi's movie "Persepolis" released in 2007 about the evolution of the political environment that exists today. Her own family sent her to France to protect her from the current government.
I literally named drop the graphic novel and movie Persepolis too in another video. It's sad it's a 15 year old film and still has relevance because of the same oppressive issues.

As someone who was born in Iran shortly after the Revolution and then grew up in California, I’m very knowledgeable about what Iran was like before 1979. Iran was just like many other countries in the West, with a modernizing population and a booming economy. Many folks don’t know this, but Iran used to have a large American population and the headscarf was voluntary, rarely worn in many places.
I see so much bravery and passion for freedom in these women and men fighting against government corruption and repression. So proud of my Iranian sisters.
Take note, women of America - we are headed towards a rightwing pseudo-Christian theocracy here at home, and things will be even worse for us if we continue down this path to Gilead.

What this news failed to report:
Mahsa (a Kurdish woman) had a brain tumour when she was young and had had brain surgery when she was eight.
In the beginning, her father said that she had never had health issues in an interview. However, he admitted it later because someone leaked her medical records (including her schedule of follow up visits).
The autopsy reports and brain scan were made public. All showed no sign of head trauma.
The original protest were about asking for more details, and voicing of legitimate grievances about Gasht e Ershad (morality police). Khamenei had sent a memo stating that the enforcement of proper hijab was the least of his concerns (of the list of 10, it was the 10th).
One of the organization that received the memo was the national TV but the memo was never announced. So his guidelines were censored. One has to wonder why.
All Iranians know there’s a fifth column operating in the country. By not publicizing the memo, the Gasht continued to detain women and men, which resulted in pent up anger. Was that the plan? Why would it ignore the supreme leader’s directive to foment more resentment, which lead up to this situation?
