    I like your realistic attitude. I stopped watching a popular channel a while ago because they would talk about "tips and tricks" for the parks that were just wrong. They were making it seem as if magical moments were something that you could ask for, and expect to recieve. Just entitled stuff that would throw off a days progress if every guests was trying to do them.

    This channel has become a favorite of mine in recent weeks. I love how you give the good and the bad and don't hold back. It's very much appreciated!
    For my family, our letdown in 2021 was the fries at Animal Kingdom, Mr. Kumal's or something? After hearing so many people refer to these adoringly, we didn't care for them at all! Then, in 2023, it was Gideon's Cookies **GASP LOL** which we found overly sweet; however, the peanut butter coffee was on point!
    Anyway, I actually came here to comment on your keys! 😂 They look like mine, in the sense that you have a million different things on your key ring LOL I even recognized the noise they made when you found them in your bag! 🤣

    I went to Epcot on Wednesday and stood in line for Figment for 15 minutes. When we came out the line was almost to the bathroom! So much for low crowds with no festivals. Still thinking paying for something that used to be free is just a money grab.

    • @2foolishmortals
      @2foolishmortals  Месяц назад +1

      You know, I've heard a lot of people talking about crowd levels recently. . . not only at EPCOT, but also at the other parks. I think people are under the impression that "low season" or "off time" means something a little bit different than it actually does, mostly thanks to how it's being discussed by travel agents/creators/blogs. While it may very well be true that we're not in "peak season" right now, I personally think suggesting that this is a good time to visit to avoid crowds [particularly if you're wanting to enjoy attractions] sets up gets with unreasonable expectations.

    All good advice about bad advice, especially #2. Be on time for your boarding group or reservation! The exceptions you think you deserve affect everyone else who is following the rules.

      Yes! It impacts EVERYONE and is probably the reason some of these people [who do this] complain that things aren't going smoothly.

    We bring a water bottle with a filter, helps with the local flavor. On our trip in 22 we bought the ticked to Rise of the Resistance, as a long time Star Wars fan it was a must. Over the trip we rode it 3 times, only purchased the 1. It took that stress away of will we get to ride it.
    We did an open to close at Magic Kingdom a couple of trips back, fist day and to say we did it. You have to look at the big picture and pace yourself. The next trip we were going to do it and as the night went on did not feel it and said, nope. It's a bit of if you are tired and not having fun don't do it.
    Great advice on you don't need to purchase the ride option for every day or park. It's a good option, but a good strategy and watching wait times goes a long way.
    You get bonus points for being at Hollywood Studios and having their music in the background. It adds to the atmosphere of the video and as a trumpet player I could sit in that park for hours just taking in the music and vibes.

      I absolutely LOVE the music at Hollywood Studios. It's one of my favorite places to just sit and listen to the sounds of the park!

    I still remember the times when MK would sometimes open at 8 or even 7am and close at 1 or 2am, especially on special days like my birthday on the 4th of July. Now those days trying to go from rope drop to close was more of a marathon than anything we've seen lately.

    Snack carts that serve fountain drinks (Cool Ship for example in Tomorrowland) will give you ice water. If they don't have fountain drinks at that cart, no free ice water - but there will be one close by that should. Still, you'll need your own water bottle because those little cups won't be enough water on really hot and sunny days.

    • @2foolishmortals
      @2foolishmortals  Месяц назад

      That makes sense! I've had a few people reach out when we talked about thisbin the past and me toon Popcorn Carts specifically, but that doesn't make sense. Maybe this is what they meant? Thanks for the info. 😀

      @@2foolishmortals I personally think that free ice water is readily available at WDW. In July and August though, I still carry my water bottle.

  • @joemisek

    Yeah the skip-the-line service, not a need, but it's a real conflict. My family went in June, two young kids, we just determined we were getting it most of the days because even 30 minutes in a line with complaining kids was worth skipping. As a family, we hadn't been to WDW before so we wanted to get to everything we possibly could. In that scenario, worth it. Smaller group of people, or if you've been to WDW a bunch and don't have the urgency, don't take part in that pay-to-play scheme.

    • @2foolishmortals
      @2foolishmortals  Месяц назад

      Totally! At the end of the day, it's really about your priorities as a family and what YOU think will get you the most out of your trip. . . and what you can swing financially. Like any other tool, I think that skip-the-line services can be super helpful in solving specific problems and alleviating stress; like in your case. Tools can be a burden too though, especially if you don't REALLY need them. Getting sucked into that pay-to-play scheme definitely [at least at WDW, though I know it happens everywhere] has people paying for more than they need a LOT.

      Someone's gotta do it! 😉 Of course, I love to get hyped up too!
      Honestly, I've never done rope drop to fireworks. . . . . it sounds like a miserable time to me AND seeing people in the park who are clearly going this route isn't convincing me it's any fun either. I don't want to be miserable on vacation. . .

  • @GoatChampJ1

    WOW, Mickey pretzel slander? UNSUBSCRIBE LOL
    I love Mickey pretzels. MY vacation isn't complete without one. But yeah, fully agree that all of these things are so individual and not at all critical to everyone's trip (aside from the water bottle, that's definitely a great recommendation). Great anti-tips!

    My family usually leaves the park in the middle of the day, but our multipass booking window opened recently and the only available bookings were in the early to mid afternoon, right when we would usually leave the park for a break. I'm hoping some earlier AM times drop 3 days before and the morning of our park day.

      @@2foolishmortals wanted to provide an update. I was able to book pirates earlier in the AM, and switch my tier 1 ride to Tiana's two days before our day at Magic Kingdom. We ended up being able to book 6 LL multipass experiences during our day, and was able to take that mid day nap break. We had an amazing day!
