Soda blasting removes paint without damaging or warping metal. Environmentally-friendly and strips without chemicals.
Huge 200-lb. "High-Flow" Pressure Blaster helps you remove rust and paint faster
Bigger is better, both in media capacity and blasting volume! Eastwood's 200-lb.-capacity, "High-Flow" Pressure Blaster features high-volume, extra-large valves, which means more air volume and more abrasive flow for faster removal of rust and paint.
Extra-large 200-lb. media capacity
Large 1/2"-I.D. blaster hose and fittings
8'-long, heavy-wall blast hose with deadman valve
4 ceramic nozzles included
All-steel welded top-loading hopper and pressure gauge
Requires just 10 cfm at 90 psi
Contrary to popular belief, it's not necessarily the heat from the sandblasting that causes metal to warp. The impact of the sandblasting is actually microscopically relieving the internal stresses that are created when the sheet metal is rolled at the steel mill and die-formed at the auto plant (pressed).
Soda and media blasting is great! Explodes on impact. Video is right on. Great Job. I have a Mobile blasting pot and it works wonderful.
I’m going to build one from an old propane bottle. The concept is very simple. Mine will just be smaller and easier to haul around.I will attempt to run both silica and soda through it. Should be doable.
Our soda blasters operate on as low as 10cfm @ 90psi.
Yes, except most home Air compressors huff and puff to put out 3-5 cfm. A 10 cfm compressor runs around $1,000 from what I see, way above the average DIY guy who's going to use it once
interesting video, but what is the avarage material usage needed for a car?
I have a knowledgeable friend who has warned me about soda. He is saying it is very difficult to get the soda off or out of the metal and leads to paint failure. Is he correct? Is crushed glass a similar problem?
Lee Warneka
he is right!
alot of paint adhesion problems with soda blasting.
glass beads will not cause these problems.
will it be able to sand plastic paint from fiber glass
USA is way ahead than Europe in his means to restore classic cars, this is a fine example... affordable tools for DIY
I have polished aluminum wheels with clear coat , want to remove the clear coat and keep the nice polished look, will soda work ...or another media ?
Is there any change of nozzle diameter or material when we swap out for soda blasting?
smooth = paint that does not stick trust me
That would be just like silica
Beachnative42
no, not the same at all!
I'm sorry but that fella's mustache is out of control like a wild potato
crushed glass works better
Have one...doesn't work.
