Fantastic video. I was in 2 minds about buying this software. Your video swung me 100%..thanks another great video. And I just realised I was not subbed to your channel after all this time... Oops.
I have the same camera and the results at ISO 1-5k with NoNoise AI have been impressive albeit there are some artifacts here and there. I didn't even dare to try at 25k. It's going to be such a great tool for night street photography since the lighting here is pretty bad and warm and this can help with some manual settings which might otherwise be concieved as unorthodox lol. Thanks for the video!
Hi Victor, The Z7ii is very good at higher ISO'S alright considering the surface area size of the pixels, crazy what they can achieve with modern technology now. So far I must be lucky so then but I am not getting any weird artifacts, it could also be me being lucky with the images I have used in it. All this AI technology is developing so rapidly now but it still performs better on some images than others.
I’ve had weird patches of text on posters being smudged by the AI or the noise is sometimes not reduced entirely for example when two windows overlapped in the scene where the last sheet of glass still had noise that shouldn’t have been there. It’s pretty situational and not that bothering, but most importantly nothing that can’t be fixed. It’s just worth mentioning to always review the entire scene and not blindly trust an otherwise amazing tool.
@@mcv92 that's exactly it, always double check everything and that's one of the reasons I love NoNoise AI, the fact that you can just quickly move around the image and check it. Have you tried it in both Original and high detail and also with Tack Sharp enabled? I came across a few instances when different scenes appeared to have a small glitch but swapping modes cured it. I wasn't sure if that was just in the Beta copy though. I need to look a bit deeper at that again.
Have only briefly played with it. Just got it earlier today and went over some old pictures to try it out, but I’m going to abuse this a bit in the following period before the whole tech gets called cheating haha. It’s just so good, and reasonably cheap.
Thank you I honestly do try to contain my excitement when I use these new bits of software but I think it's not working :-) Thanks again and more new software coming next week :-) That was actually the world premier of NoNoise AI 2023 in action so that was also pretty cool.
Hi Kieran, To be more balanced a review, you should compare On1 with Topaz Photo Ai, not with Topaz Denoise Ai. I get better results with Topaz Photo Ai Cheers
Hi Jose, you could very well argue that point alright but Topaz Photo AI is 2 and a half times the price of NoNoise AI. NoNoise AI is cheaper than DeNoise AI on its own already. But Photo AI still wasnt better than NoNoise AI 2023 😉 it would be a bit like comparing a merc with a mini if you know what I mean. Denoise and NoNoise are in the same class, that's why I did it that way 👍 Have a great weekend Jose.
I also would've like at least a mention there, as we as users often look at noise as noise, wheter it's camera shake, dust, scratches, hot pixels or iso noise
how did you get these awesome results? I am not able to reproduce them no matter what I try/do... on one side I get pink tint cast or on the other just weird artefacts
@@historie-hradu-zamku-tvrzi I am using it on a PC also but worth Nikon files so maybe that's the difference. I would email them and ask them if they have issues with those files.
@@kieranhayesphotography hmm I don´t think this may be problem but you can for sure try 🙂, well would you provide me that one nef you shown in video? IT guy here with a boring answer xD It uses Machine Learning - those programs are trained (like a dog xD) to know what's the difference between a noisy picture and a sharp one. Millions upon millions of noisy and sharp images was shown to those programs so when you open a noisy picture - it somewhat "understands" what to change to make them more look like the sharp ones. So yes - it's kinda like a magic even for a non-Machine Learning developers ;-)
I don't understand! I have the ON1 NoNoise Al 2022.5 16.5.1 12516 // there is no update to 2023 available! ? But, I agree the NO Noise Al 2022 it a fantastic noise remover!
There is no update available as of yet to 2023 as this has only been shared with a select few people that work with ON1. I believe this is actually the world premier of this software, it was only today I was given permission to share this video. Expect a lot more videos to come out over the next week or two from other channels also.
Topaz's new standard is in Topaz Photo AI not denoise. I have found it more reliable then the noise reduction built into on1 photo raw 2023. I've been pretty disappointed by 2023 so far in terms of both the noise reduction module and the portrait module.
Hello Patrick, yes you could argue that point but it's also over 3 times the price of NoNoise AI and topaz are still selling DeNoise AI as their stand alone software for Noise reduction. I also tested Photo AI and it still wasn't as good as NoNoise AI 2023 on the very same photograph. I would have thought it would be a bit like comparing a Mercedes with a Mini from a price perspective. This is not the noise reduction included in PR 2023 this is as far as I am aware the first video anywhere on NoNoise AI 2023 which has not even been launched as of yet. I am only showcasing the features that are coming very soon also including the portrait Module of which I am presently recording a video of. So stay tuned for serious updates there also. Have a great weekend 👍
@@kieranhayesphotography I mean I have both, so I will use them as needed but have yet to find a use case for on1 noise reduction :) . The stand alone module you were using should be the plugin version of what is included in PR2023 per support. It should be available for those of use that purchased the plugin options at the end of this month or next. BTW I do appreciate review like this because it provides another view and perspective.
Hi Patrick, I am under an NDA so I can't talk about when the software will be officially launched but there should be news about it everywhere fairly soon. The way I look at this is we the photographers are the winners in all this the more these companies push each other the better the value we will get so it's great news for us all really :-) Enjoy the new version of NoNoise and who knows they might even improve it before launch as that was only the Beta version. Stupidly I tested Noiseless AI, DeNoise AI, DxO Deep Prime XD and NoNoise AI 2023 Beta all on the same image at like 7am in the morning and the results were truly impressive.
Noise reduction is Denoise is actually better than the new all in one Photo AI, it uses a very similar AI for noise but they are not the same model and Denoise is still the goto for Topaz noise reduction due to the adjusments you can do in the stand alone app. Photo AI is for the one and done workflow (pretty much), I use Topaz, ON1, and DXO as I have found each one can be better than the other in a certain scenario, DXO is still King in 95% of situations though.
@pepetann6791 interesting comment and open to so many interpretations. So just to clarify, which is bad? The video, Topaz DeNoise AI or ON1 NoNoise AI 2023?
@@kieranhayesphotography I find your video very interesting, what I mean is topaz noise, we are already 2023 and I think it does not give the results I expected, because I also bought the program and I feel cheated. I gave your video and I'm more encouraged by on1 no noise. greetings
@@pepetann6791 thanks for the explanation and yes I am also a bit disappointed in Topaz Labs that they are no longer updating DeNoise AI even though I am paying for updates. Hopefully some major new update is around the corner :-)
Sorry, not really an objective comparison imho.... I don't like this review because there could be definitely better results by actively using the sliders in Topaz Denoise Ai.
Hello Henk, thanks for watching firstly and sorry you didn't like the video or even worse think it was biased. I did adjust all the sliders off screen before I recorded the video to firstly see which model worked better on that specific shot for DeNoise AI. I don't think people want to see me play around with each slider in each model which would add another 10 to 15 mins at least due to the re-rendering time of DeNoise AI. At about 9:50 I did play around with the recover detail slider as I had already found that made more of a difference then anything else. This video is also fairly old now when it comes to Noise Reduction so I wouldn't take it as being up to date. DXO DeepPime XD and of course Lightrooms Denoise have both been launched since with a new version of NoNoise AI also coming out in a few weeks. Anyway thanks for watching and if you want I can send you over the raw shot and you can try it in both yourself. I for one am certain you won't get better results in Denoise AI. Have a great weekend 👍
