Excellent vid William. I have just purchased the ON1 RAW 2023 program and trying to get my head around it!! I follow you with your Luminar NEO vids and I consider myself very adept at using that now. How did you find the learning curve with ON1? Is it relativly simple to get to know? Have you done any intro or beginners look at ON1 that I can view? Great to have you back by the way!!! Missed your vids

Thanks for the wonderful comment, Nigel.
I'm planning on more videos with ON1 plugins and Photo RAW. The learning curve wasn't too bad, as I've used ON1 software for many years. There are some small menu items in the user interface that are easy to overlook, so I try to point them out. The Mode for textures was one example.
I don't have any other ON1 videos now, but will produce more. I've spent the past few months working on my website and creating different articles there, but I don't want to neglect the RUclips videos.

Nigel, how are you finding ON1 compared to Neo? I’ve just left a comment asking William what his thoughts are on any advantages of buying ON1 when I already own Neo then I saw your comment. Any help would be great !

@@paulg3388 NEO is still my go to editor. I'm finding it a struggle to get a workflow going. Simple things like getting a green and a red square when using the eraser tool.....No idea what they are for and I can't get rid of them other than clicking outside the work area. Other tools don't lend themselves to getting out of once you have used them!! I'm sure it is me but I find NEO a doddle to use in comparison.

Great Video thanks William. I’ve been looking at ON1 and wanted your opinion. I already have Luminar Neo and wondered if I would gain anything with ON1 over it? I’ve been watching comparison videos but thought with your long term knowledge you would be able to advise me perhaps? I’ve downloaded the free trial so just trying it out

      Hi, Paul
Thanks! ON1 Photo RAW and Luminar Neo do a lot of the same things. That said, Luminar Neo has a very rudimentary catalog system, where the ON1 photo management is much more robust - almost on par with Lightroom.
Another benefit of ON1 Photo RAW is that you can add text to your photos, creating a graphic effect or a simple watermark.

@@WilliamBeemPhotography brilliant I didn’t know that ! Thanks for the information I decide to buy it 45 mins ago and will see how I go. I like the feel of it already especially the portrait side. Thanks for the response
