Artograph was sold to Studio Designs in September 2019. The only item on their web site are opaque projectors not digital projectors. R.I.P. Artograph. By the way, Norman Rockwell used a slide projector to transfer images onto his canvas. It is NOT cheating. They are tools to be used.

Wish I could afford it! Most artists don’t have that kind of money. Used ones run 500 bucks!!
Would have been helpful if you have made model comparisons and shared their individual strengths. I purchased the Artograph Inspire 800 Digital Art Projector a few moments ago, but was able to find almost no video reviews on RUclips... Nice Student work by the way... I'm sure it came out grand!

About a decade ago, I bought the cheapest Artograph projector: A Tracer. It was kind of a pain to use. These digital projectors, IMHO, are far superior to those. More expensive? Sure, but you can use them for watching movies and other things that the Tracer could never have done.
+Mark Pettigrew I finally just gave away an Artograph opaque projector I've had since 1986.... so glad this is the new standard. No more hot incandescent bulbs and size limits... your opinion is shared!

Unfortunately, I'm on a very limited budget, inasmuch as I'm living on SSI benefits after having four strokes. Just paying the rent on time is an accomplishment for me.
Having home Internet is similarly an accomplishment for me. I'm on the Basic plan from Century Link. To get that, I had to fill out an application showing my financial need.
However, I would like one of these Artograph digital projectors. They're good not only for drawing images found on photos, but also good for watching movies and making presentations to groups.
Which model would I like? Hard to say. If I did get one, I'd want one I could mount on a tripod.

this is a good way to still work while you have cataracts growing in your eyes. Otherwise you can forget drawing until after eye surgery. The Lucy was used by the old Masters. Every artist used something. But then Mundanes wouldn't know this.
What is the difference between these projectors and normal videoprojectors, for instance, by BENQ?
honestly after using for awhile...a super expensive piece of crap. even new one is stupidly expensive for what an artist needs. Terrible do not buy

I've tried to bluetooth and connect my samsung s8 note with the cord it came with to use photos off my phone but it wont work. When i read reviews it said you could do this 😭🤷♀️
Autograph is not available anywhere and this video along with all Autograph projectors should be discontinued as you cannot buy them. Autograph appears to have been bought and dropped by a company named Design Studio.
I searched the Opus website for Artograph digital projectors. The search returned "Category Not Found." I opened the website's menu options, where Artograph digital projectors are the MAIN item listed in the submenu. Result of clicking on "Artograph" using Opus' own menu? "Category Not Found." I don't see the projector from this video (or any high-end projector) on the Artograph site. If the product exists, I can't find it.
I regret buying mine honestly. Even with the tripod it’s impossible to make any photo even or to make it the same size. I could look past how annoying it is that it doesn’t connect to my apple iPad or my hp computer. I have to keep the projector connected to my computer the whole time which causes problems trying to size anything which is the lesser of my worries compared to the tripod. So expensive not worth it. Would rather just do everything by hand I was really looking forward to it but could never make it work after a year.

Great video, just wondering if you have any ideas of projectors that show grids, values, black and white, maybe handset. The autograph ones went while back they seemed to have most qualities, told aught to go for something with lots lumens etc... looking for one that you think has it all budget less than 500 dollars. Has to be with features such as values etc.. that help when painting. thanks lots
This is just a cheap projector :)))))))))
Probably a good product that offers brightness and magnification ratio suitable for painting. On the other hand, I find its distribution price far too expensive (at least for France 700 € !) for a specificity that only concerns its focal length compared to a usual video projector, 2 to 4 times cheaper !

naw its not cheating. i mean if you cant draw the finished painting will look like crap even with a projector. saves time on large murals.
I just thought developing your eye to the best precision is the mastery of art; it opens up your deepest brain functions and allows you to draw from your imagination.

I would like to have some way to use a ceiling mount- This could focus an image to my desktop. Sure be a lot easier to trace image on a flat desktop . Than getting in all kinds of awkward positions for a wall image

Thanks for your question. The Artograph Inspire800 is 800 lumens and displays in HD at 1280 x 800 WXGA.
