Horus: *Choking backseater noises* Angron: "SHUT THE FUCK UP! I'm the one fighting and I'll do what I do. And I like what I-" Sanguinius: *Rips out Angron's dreads and brain implant* "Same."
Everything Sanguinius does at the Siege of Terra breaks my heart. Every act of heroism and defiance. From slaying Angron and holding the Eternity Gate almost single-handedly to battling through the wretched corridors of the Vengeful Spirit. He even had Horus beaten. He made the Warmaster panic. The entire time his face was twisted in anguish. Not from fear, or pain, or exertion, but because with every life lost in this war his heart was breaking more and more. He wasn’t the Emperor’s dream made flesh, he was the living embodiment of the human spirit. Indomitable, full of hope and rage against fate itself. And just like the collective spirit of humanity, Sanguinius was broken at the cursed claws of the Arch-Traitor.
I’m more questioning why he fly low enough to give Angron the opportunity to murder so many marines and fly next a jet which lead to Agron destroying it too. Those actions seem beyond unnecessary to me.
@@SirOrdoit is exactly how horus died, in that fleeting moment of death, that minute nanosecond before being destroyed by his father so utterly that not even an ounce of him remains. Horus saw the monster he became. And then died.

The Angel rolls aside with the grace of the sky-born, dodging this streak of bladed intent. No, Angron sees; not dodging. Faster than the human eye can follow, the Angel has caught his spear as it passed, rolled with the momentum, and now he casts it back to the ground with a cry of effort. Angron will catch it, this twig of a thing, and- He clutches nothing but air and the force of a meteor hits him in the chest, throwing him down, pinning him to the warp-stained ground. For several unreal seconds, the Lord of the Red Sands is impaled in place, speared through the chest. There is no pain, only humiliation."
So awesome. Even when Angron is souped up as a Daemon Primarch, Sanguinius is just in a completely different league. He deals, what? Four mortal blows against Angron during the course of the fight? Five? Keep in mind that Angron cannot feel fatigue while Sanguinius CAN and has more or less been fighting constantly for months before this fight AND he had just absolutely manhandled a goddamn BLOODTHIRSTER. If Angron wasn't literally un-killable and this was a fight where Sanguinius was fully rested, he'd stand no chance.

Why hate that it's against Sanguinius? This is Angron's best fight performance, and it's against the absolute peak of his martial power Sanguinius. Both gave great showings.
@@whichDude You've misinterpreted my comment, I meant that I'd take more joy in this battle as a World Eaters player if it was against a primarch I liked less such as Corvus or Dorn. I have the upmost respect for the Angel. I agree both primarchs showed immense feat of strength and I just hate that two of my favorite primarchs had to beat each other down.
I like how Sangunius isn't vengeful here, he shows that he cares enough about Angron to do whatever he can to put him to rest because In a weird way the two Primarchs have a lot more in common than they think. I would argue that the black rage and the butchers nails are quite similar in nature, The only difference is that the black rage can be restrained while the nails can only be satisfied with constant rage and anger. It's like he knows the pain he sees is going on with his brother Primarch and just wants him to have peace even if Angron won't see it. My respect for Hawk boy was already high but it somehow got even higher
Both Black Rage and Butchers nails were the seeds that were meant to send both legions down to Khorne and given the battle in Fear to Tread Sanguinius probably knows full well what happened to Angron and that it could've been him there or at least he has a general idea since the Blood Angels almost got took against their will too
But hawk boy causes alot of friendly forces to die by leading angron to them and hitting angron with the spear. And it was uncalled for leading angron to the pilot like to slow him down. Bad hawk boy! Those loyalists could have been used else where.
@@MNM-lq9te war is ugly and choices are made in the heat of the moment to survive and keep fighting. I bet had he survived the siege of Terra that would be a ptsd flash for hawk boy
I think the similiarities between the black rage and the butchers nails sums up the biggest difference beyween Sanguinius and Angron, in how they deal with it. The Blood Angels have an inherant penchant for savegry and bloodthirst but they try to fight back against those urgs. Meanwhile the World Eater's embrace their urges, they inflict this mind-brealing status on them and give themselves all. Sanguinius tries every day to be a good person to fight back against the violence so he can be the hero humanity needs. Angron though gave up and just lets bis anger control him, he doesn't try to better he just stews in his own negative emotions like a rotting carcass.
@@dantewilson182I’m not very well versed in Warhammer lore so forgive me if I get something wrong, but I’m pretty sure Angron literally couldn’t help his condition, partially because of the nails that force him to commit violence, lest they deal immense pain to his body. Hell even the emperor himself has attempted to remove the nails, but has failed. Sanguinius at least doesn’t suffer from uncontrollable rage unless he reaches a near-death state. This, combined with the fact that he was robbed of his opportunity to help free his best friends from slavery back on his home planet by the emperor probably didn’t do a good job of convincing him to serve the Imperium. Pretty sure the guy only serves Khorne cause becoming his demon prince is the only way to alleviate the pain from the nails.
I love how this gives you the perspective of how HORRIFYING combat between Primarchs is. We're used to seeing battles at the ground level in 40K, but them Primarchs fight and it's like something out of Dragonball or Jujutsu Kaisen, just fucking speed, power and brutality.
Doesn't help these are, arguably, the two strongest Primarchs in lore AND both have the ability to fly with no limitations. Besides the psyker ones, very few Primarchs could actually cleave a battlefield in half like Angron does here.

Fun fact, Sanguinius tells Angron "I free you from this torment" because in Saturnine he has visions of himself as Angron and can feel the agony the butcher's nails cause
I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. Dan Abnett may be the grandfather of 40K books. However, no one makes interesting fights and characters like ADB. This was the best book in seige of terra.
Of all the parts of the SoT (which, on the whole, was a series I thoroughly enjoyed) Sanguinius vs Angron was the fight that more than lived up to the hype and Echoes of Eternity was easily my favorite. Though, given I play Blood Angels, I am probably very heavily biased.

I love this. As I listen to the audio, I realize how I would not have conjured as vivid a picture of events as this animation allows me to feel. Especially the moment when Angron just ends lives by the dozen as he lets his sword hang low while he flies over the battlefield, that is great. Thank you very much for makign this. This got me interested in giving the Horus Heresy audiobooks a try! I love the energy the narrator has on this one. As a general lore comment, I find it interesting to notice that Angron would have lost multiple times already. Chaos makes you feel strong, but in the end the Princes rely on external power to fuel them, and apparently it can make them more dependent than they thought. I think I have heard/read bits of 40k along these lines before.

Watching this again made me realize something, it wasn't that long ago in whitch all we had to go on about Sanguinius being one of, if not the best PVP fighters of all the primarchs was little things like Russ saying he doesn't know if he could beat him ect. I'm glad the siege of terra books showed us why he had that rep. And if Russ ever gets round to reading it... any notion of him winning goes straight out the window lets be honest
I mean… in “the end and the death ll”, heavily injured Sanguinius (I’m talking, exhausted Sanguinius after fighting for 200 days none stop, taking down titans, astartes champions and entire armies) rams through several companies of most elite Luna wolves on the vengeful spirit. Slaughtering them by the hundreds and sustaining literally thousand new wounds, before even facing Horus. Horus even remakes that some of the wounds Sanguinius is suffering from are fatal and even poisoned. Yet, when they fight Horus can’t even come close to hitting Sanguinius without chaos powers. While Sanguinius is tearing his armor and shields apart. Horus literally says that Sanguinius is dishing out blows that would kill primearchs. Saying that Sanguinius threw another good blow which would have disemboweled Angron, it would have taken off Ferus’s head and pierced the pale kings heart. AND THIS ISNT EVEN SANGUINIUS GOING ALL OUT. Later, in the fight when Horus finally uses his chaos powers to smash Sanguinius, Horus says that Sanguinius was apparently holding back. It makes no difference against Horus… but apparently almost dead Sanguinius dishing out blows that would kill primearchs is Sanguinius holding back. Horus literally says that Sanguinius may actually be THE MOST SKILLED EXISTENCE IN THE GALAXY. Basically Sanguinius at the very brink of death is more skilled than anyone else in the galaxy… ya.
Ahh. Just yesterday Sanguinius came out with a bundle for his alt art in Legions. I was able to spend my gems on him planning to build a solid deck with the Great Angel.
❤️🔴 Which alternate Heresy Angron is better? In the sense is it better Angron who is healed from the butcher's nails or Angron who never had the butcher's nails (example Blood Angels)? He who looks like a barbarian gladiator but is actually a rock of discipline and valor worthy for the World Eaters (and the Emperor)? (The Crimson Slaughter certainly doesn't need butcher's nails to create an ocean of blood) With his warriors, then finally with his sons, Angron manages to liberate the world of Nuceria and become its ruler. It would be clearer to say that: Angron is saved and raised by the village of the city of Desh'ea and then sells himself as a gladiator planning its conquest and liberation, neither he nor Oenomaus receive the butcher's nails but they are still forced to fight with Angron who gives an honorable death to his dear mentor, then (recruiting more villagers and soldiers over time) in the last battle the Emperor decides to send the World Eaters to defend Angron and his gladiators (recognizing potential new forces for his XII Legion) and subsequently, with all medical science, heal the heads of the surviving men. A good example is Vladus Barca himself (practically the loyalist version of Angron). And the World Eaters choose to repaint parts of themselves red to honor the title (and above all the sacrifice) of their father: the Lord of the Red Sands. Precisely as an example the Blood Angels, since the World Eaters of Angron do not suffer from the butcher's nails they still suffer from a kind of mental torment, the Blood Voice, which forces the most affected to shed enormous blood in order to gain some respite (of course the Librarians, using the Primarch's empathic psychic power, try their best to heal everyone). Angron also lived alongside ferocious predators, the wild Wolves of Nuceria (hard-skinned beasts), before being taken by the people of the village. And just like the Iron Hands with the Bulls of Medusa, the Dark Angels with the Lions of Caliban and the Space Wolves with the Wolves of Fenris, the World Eaters learn to build a bond with the creatures of their home planet. Another good possibility is this! Oenomaus had already freed Desh'ea and ruled House Thal'kyr, then after hearing about the boy named Angron, raised first by wolves and then by villagers, he decides to recruit him among his gladiators, seeing him as their hope. Angron thus grows well becoming a just adult, in a reborn city with a large army of strong warriors, successfully leading his valiant soldiers (and many others thanks to his empathic psychic power), with the title Lord of the Red Sands, against the tyrants (witnessing the tragic but honorable death of his father figure in the last battle), ultimately becoming the Gladiator King, powerful ruler of all Nuceria. Some time after the planet's pacification Angron meets the Emperor, this time voluntarily embracing his place as son, Primarch and father of the XII Legion of War Wolves (World Eaters), officially making Nuceria their homeworld. Or maybe even this: all the cities of Nuceria are already free and governed by several Gladiator Kings (the bloody slavery just a bad memory), who over time see the rise of the wolf Angron Thal'kyr as a sign of a worthy ruler (and future worthy Primarch)! (The path like that of Sanguinius)

LOVE IT! Really an excellent style of animation, thank you for bringing it to us. Bravo to all involved!
That's some talent right there! Both from the animators and the fighters
An animated series of the Horus heresy that culminates with the siege of terra would go so fuking hard. Like just use the best parts of the books.
The Lord of the Red Sands is such a sick title. It says more about his past than the rather uninspired “Red Angel”.
It amazes me how much emotion each frame has, truly, this is the work of a master
Sanguinius: i see my sons and those of my brother, i must be careful not to hit them
Angron: haha black sword go swoosh
Even this storyboard style anmation is better than what GW pumped out with hammer and bolter. Excellent work to the Artist. Cant wait for part 3. I hope he also does Sang vs Horus battle. That is going to be tragic.
Also CM Valrak the link to youtube channel isn't working. It wasn't working in part one also.

Just thought i should point it out.
Its amazing how you can see the artist evolved his art during the process between the two parts
That was incredible. Thank you for creating it.
I REALLY WANNA SEE THIS SCENE PLAY OUT!!! 😭😭😭 can you please hire some animators!!!
This is so amazing !
Thos is awesome. Fully done up in all color and effects this would look absolutely beautiful.
2:03 That frame; Angron embodies the icon of his own Legion.
It's like G1 Soundwave's face being the symbol of the Decepticons.
There needs to be a 40K animated feature.
I waited a MINUTE for this. Well done.
could totally see this with a style like Invincible, especially moments like 1:49
the fighting is like dragon ball z and lord of the rings had a child
This is beautiful! You dont get this kind of animated fights even in pro animated shows, you should be proud.
beautifully illustrated, thank you!
ChapterMasterValrak: Part Three coming soon!
GWS: Not so fast...
Very good Human! Can't wait for part 3!
a Great animation for a great fight, thx man to put effort in it. This look very good so have a good luck for the third part !!
This was amazing. Imagine if we had the whole 30 and 40k series presented to us in the format
Mater Valrak, your work is spectacular, I love it¡. Could you give me permission to edit it for the Latin public?
It makes no difference against Horus…
but apparently almost dead Sanguinius dishing out blows that would kill primearchs is Sanguinius holding back.
Horus literally says that Sanguinius may actually be THE MOST SKILLED EXISTENCE IN THE GALAXY.
Basically Sanguinius at the very brink of death is more skilled than anyone else in the galaxy… ya.
In 10 years we’re gonna be watching this in the cinema
This was exquisite!! As a new fan this just made me like Sanguinius more!!
Thanks for all you do Val. I hope you have a great weekend my friend.
What a masterpiece, thx for your work ))
"... when the spear, hurled from The Angel's left hand strikes."
*visibly thrown from right hand*
0/10 literally unwatchable. Liked and shared.
This is amazing! Waiting for part 3!!!
We need more!!
Got to love just as mechancius's soundtrack has been adopted by the wider community as 40k music Rogue Trader's soundtrack has been too.
Amazing 🔥, this work is absolutely beautiful
that Ange Ron is a pretty swell dude!
fantastic storyboarding and art by the artist
amazing, absolutely phenomenal
I love this! Great work
So amazing to see our glorious hawk boy in action. Great Angel vs Red Angel
Absolutely amazing, doing the Lord's work out here. GW needs to talk about a deal with you guys
Something weird happens with the audio at 0:46, is it only me? Awesome animation! It would be nice to see it fully unleashed!
It’s cut. The narration of this fight is like 14-20 minutes long. Some miscellaneous parts are cut to make it more doable.
0:29 is it me or does he just look calm, but mildly annoyed.
been waiting for this now just need part 3 xD
Beautiful work
Grace of the angel this is beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
amazing work!
Ahh. Just yesterday Sanguinius came out with a bundle for his alt art in Legions. I was able to spend my gems on him planning to build a solid deck with the Great Angel.
This was beautiful. I really can't wait to see what Henry Cavill does now
Keep it up man, these are great
Boy im waiting to get the next part!
"soon" is clearly a relative term but nevertheless it was an awesome addition and I look forward to the next part whenever that might be, lol.
❤️🔴
Which alternate Heresy Angron is better?
In the sense is it better Angron who is healed from the butcher's nails or Angron who never had the butcher's nails (example Blood Angels)?
He who looks like a barbarian gladiator but is actually a rock of discipline and valor worthy for the World Eaters (and the Emperor)?
(The Crimson Slaughter certainly doesn't need butcher's nails to create an ocean of blood)
With his warriors, then finally with his sons, Angron manages to liberate the world of Nuceria and become its ruler.
This never fails to slap.
Sanguinius is giving me castlevania Alucard vibes & I love it
Can't wait for part three ✨
Nice one :) love the art :)
im disgusted by gw for copyright striking his channel
What's the channel?
@@agonizingstarbutterfly1184he linked it but link is dead aka channel is dead
This is REALLY good
more of this please
Just discovered your channel!! Is the plan to make full animations out of this? Or do you leave it at the animatic level? :)
The music is from the Rogue Trader ost 👍
no one:
Sanguinius: alright then. POWER WORD: GUN!
