in Vinny's defense, Normal Mode assumes you know how and where to drift frequently, and/or grew up with the game. i did the full adventure (assorted Relics included) in Hard Mode as someone that loved it as a kid and it kicked my ass.

despite activision being activision this was one of my favorite vinny plays. I loved watching get better and learn the mechanics and go from really bad to more competent. I loved all the vinny noises of frustration. I loved watching him get destroyed and being distraught and then rising above it winning and the great celebration pop off. overall it was such a great playthrough
When I watched Vinny play this, I thought he was exaggerating how difficult the game was. After all, I had put many hours into the original CTR and I always thought it was easy... until I picked up Nitro-Fueled for myself. Boy, I struggled on Crash Cove for like an hour against the Hard AI. It was insane. But, after playing the game for a total of ~350 hours and collecting every possible cosmetic in the game without paying once, I can crush the Hard AI pretty easily now. The skill gaps in this game is mental.
HOW THE HELL IS THIS MAN DOING SO WELL WITH LITTLE BOOSTING! I'm stuck on the sewer stage boosting my ass off at every turn barely even getting into the top 5!
The way Vinny plays without using the turbo drift gives me such anxiety for pete's sake, is doubled because i used to play this game a lot as a kid in the PS1 :W
Just a reminder: This game is made for kids. They REALLY expect perfection to beat the story mode on just *normal*. I know people like a challenge, but if I want challenge, I'd play the actual Crash games.
I HATE the boost in this game.. Also, They really need to have where you can beat the level as long as you come in 3rd, 2nd or first.. Maybe asides bosses.

It's not 60 fps, but it sure feels super smooth. The ingame bugs are far more worrisome than the framerate. Online mode is a shitshow currently.
