    I’m sorry for commenting a year later! I got the SAME shampoo for my seborrheic dermatitis and I’m so afraid that it will take the curls out of my hair. I’m so glad to see you don’t have an issue with it!

    Thank you for this video!!! I was diagnosed w seborrheic dermatitis while transitioning to curly hair and also got the ketoconazole shampoo. Its been super helpful, unfortunately the dr recommended I use it 3x a week. I feel like its the cause of why my hair is so dry and makes it harder to curl. I didnt think about using it when it flares up, so ill try that. Thank you!!

    Thank You so much! i've had tight curly hair since i was 10 and i'm going to try your routine after realising my shampoo was full of silicone and sulfphates. Hopefully my hair will thank me for making the change. Love your videos xxx :)

    Great video👏.
    I have a question for people with short hair with seb derm. What styling products can be used when having an oily scalp but short and dry hair? People with seb derm are not advised to use styling products and to wash to their hair everyday. Washing everyday may aggravate the condition. Having short hair makes it harder to use any styling product as the roots and scalp are easier in contact with the product, which may also worsen the seb derm.
    Which products are then save to leave in for 2 days if you wash your hair, say 3-4 times a week? Perhaps someone who has short and dry hair and has seb derm knows what hair products might be suitable to leave in, such that your hair does not look dry and brittle.

      Ugh, I know what you mean. It feels like I have to choose between my scalp and my hair some times. I cut my hair shorter this year, and noticed how difficult it was. I switched to DevaCurl products (specifically the decadence conditioner and the b-leave in miracle curl plumper), these were lighter for my hair. I just make sure to squish and condish avoiding my scalp as much as possible, if that makes sense!

    Doesn't the oil in the hair products make the sd worse? I use the same ketoconazole shampoo twice a week alongside free and clear conditioner. It caused my hair to grow super fast and no more flakes.

    I think I have the symptoms of SD can I ask what your symptoms are, I get a very itchy scalp, scalp acne, inflamed scalp, tiny white flakes if I scratch my scalp and this constant annoying burning itching feeling x

      I definitely would double check with a dermatologist, but I do have some of those symptoms (not scalp acne and no burning feeling). I hope you get relief soon!!!

    People with SD should not oil their hair and should use more home remedies like Alovera. And Don't you comb your hair? If i don't comb every other day then flares will show up in hairline? Do you deal with that too?

    I'm a boy with 4a-4cish hair and my seb derm is bad to the point where the flakes is very stuck to the scalp, have you ever had this issue? I'm prescribed keto shampoo but it still doesnt get the stubborn hard scales stuck to my scalp. I'm I supposed to scratch it off with a comb (im afraid it'll cause hairloss at my hairline if i consistently do that).

    Does your prescription shampoo have ingredients that are not CG friendly?

    • @DayWithPhae
      @DayWithPhae  5 лет назад

      Macky De Leon great question! Unfortunately it isn’t CG friendly, but I only use it about once a month when my seborrheic dermatitis flares up.

      @@DayWithPhae Did you have to use it more at the start? I used it once just now and I'm incredibly impressed with the results and don't want to just go back to CG shampoos that might make it come back in full swing again.

    I have a really dumb question... But if I had SD, would I know it for sure? I do get scalp itchiness when my hair is wet from the shower but no flakes that I've noticed. I always thought it was from the super hot showers I take. My hair is a little thin in density around my front roots, but nothing like a bald spot or anything. Figured it was genetic but now I am worried. I get scalp acne as well as facial acne and the arms of my glasses occasionally rub.

      I didn't know 100% until I had my dermatologist diagnose me officially. I actually thought my scalp condition was a million other things (lol). I would definitely get it checked out by a dermatologist. I had intense scalp itchiness, but I did have some flaking (but that only happened when I would scratch my scalp).

      Caro Bisbee 😖I have the exact same problem I get the scalp acne too it's soooooo annoying I've tried so many things the dermatologist said I was low on iron but that wasn't true as my iron levels were fine🙄🤷‍♀️I don't know whether to use sulphates to clean my scalp or not x
