Thank you so very much for releasing one of your witty and erudite videos Every. Single. Day. I count on you to brighten my mornings, brother, and I marvel at your commitment. You are our daily bread, literally-with the exception of the occasional saltine or slice of watermelon. I believe I may speak for all your subscribers: you are much appreciated and loved.

You know, these old recipes don't always look the best, but they do make me think that we don't utilize the method of "pound random crap into a paste" enough in our modern era.

Reminds me of one of my favorite Asian bar snacks. Dried anchovies and peanuts and sliced hot peppers. So plus it up with some Asian spice and hot peppers.

Having grown up in Virginia, I thought that this would be an old-fashioned ham spread sandwich. When I saw the sardines, I thought to myself, "Well, this isn't going to be happening!"

If you haven't featured it yet, may I suggest a classic from the Pittsburgh area. During the 1950s and 60s, Isaly's chip chopped ham on white sliced bread with barbeque sauce was a standard. Isaly's operated an ice cream parlor/lunch counter in most small towns in PA. They produced their own brand of cooked chopped ham. As the ice cream parlors slowly closed, you could still get Isaly's products in Lawson's dairy stores across the many eastern states. Isaly's chip chopped ham is still produced, still the best, and still available in many supermarket deli counters.

I make a sandwich that's not too far from that. The sandwich I make is on regular white or wheat sandwich bread, canned tuna (the kind packed in oil) mixed with miracle whip (mostly to add some moisture to the party), a slice of American cheese, and peanut butter.
    It's deliciousness incarnate.

I will say, my husband and I have lived in both northern and southern VA for a combined total of 11-15 years each, and we have not ever heard of putting peanuts on a sandwich, lol. To be fair, tobacco was much more the crop than peanuts where we used to live, so who knows! They don't grow peanuts in ALL areas of the state, lol. That said, I'd totally try this. I love sardines.

So when my Dad was a broke college student, he used to make Peanut Butter and Sardine sandwiches. Even family history wouldn't tempt me to eat one of those, but I find even canned Tuna to be stinky, so more extreme canned fish than that? Not for me. But hey, if someone likes sardines, love that for them.

A nice barebone fish sandwich. Anyone can plus it up according to their taste from this. I would go with thyme + pickle + and tomato maybe some sweet corn for the plus up but it will take the whole sandwich into tuna salad one I guess :D . Or add another meat product to mimic surf&turf in a bread?

I use a Rode wirelss lav mic just not with the lav mic part anymore as they are expensive and seem to crap out easily. The thing on my shirt has mic that transmits to a similarly sized receiver attached to my Cannon. The one big negative is that you have to be obsessive about charging them. They can look like they enough charge, then just die mid-recording and you don't know until after you're done recording.
