We had one at work and lost it in the back of a big biomass boiler due to a loose hose coupling unscrewing itself. It sat in there getting toasted for 4 years while the boiler ran. Finally got around to getting it out a couple of days ago; the seals had turned in to a gummy mess but there was almost no corrosion. Whipped out the wire brush, popped the bad seals out, new seals in and it works just as good as it did all those years ago.
