What has always struck me about Adam Sandler is that he seems to be kind of an introvert. Every interview I see with him, he's always very humble, down-to-earth, self-aware, even self-deprecating, and expressing a lot of gratitude for all the opportunities he's been given over the years. He seems like a genuinely nice guy.
I love how much detail they put into when making it feel as though It takes place in 2012 especielly the iPhone 5's with ios 6. I wish more people have metointed this.
Vincent H. While I wouldn’t discredit other people’s opinions, I tend to agree that “joker” was very overrated. I tend to agree with the consensus of the critics
the way the movie was going somebody had too goooooo noooooo fuck why!!!!!!!!!!!!!! watch Mother youll feel tha same way! that movie Cry Cry also. great movies.
plus i felt like i knew that was going to happen, not saying it was predictable i just felt like there is no way this guy has been a loser the entire time and is NOW going to come out on top, so when THAT happened, I was like "OH MY GOD THAT WAS WAY HARSHER THAN I EXPECTED"
@@ytkenny5 thats when it became really disturbing. felt like a murder out of anger which im sure is hard to translate how it feels in real life but if you were watching that really happening thats probably what it felt like.
I expected it to happen at some point, but I looked at the remaining time and thought it couldn't possibly happen now, fucking 3 seconds later it happened.
These interviews are everything. Seeing Sandler who has built a career on funny do such a daunting and frenetic character, and seeing the Safdies take their craft to the next level with the perfect vehicle for him makes me so happy. When Josh says "I'm hitting the record button NOW" and Sandler says "the boys like the old albums"- you know it's real.
This interview is so fantastic. Amazing energy between everyone. Sandler is hilarious. This movie almost killed me. The only movie in my entire life to ever make me physically nauseous by the last half hour. Safdie's are two of the most exciting new filmmakers working. Let's go!
From day one on SNL to right now I haven’t had a moment when I haven’t loved this man and I believe I’ve got a great deal of company. What’s not to love about Adam Sandler? So many qualities stand out I can’t list them but his steadfast devotion to his friend Chris Farley is the true meaning of friendship. I’m so happy for him to have another success in another direction and I will always watch anything he does any time.
I love that Adam had no issues working with non professional actors and treated them like friends. He’s a great guy and I love him more when I hear about him or see interviews.
I do NOT understand why some people have been giving this movie bad reviews. To each their own, to be fair, but the reasons I've heard so far are juvenile: They wanted an "Adam Sandler movie", and instead got something that challenged them and they didn't like that. I think that's what movies are meant to do, like them or not. I really applaud people who make movies not everyone's gonna like, commercially, but that tell a great story and show you the raw truth.
I watched "Good Time" only the other day on Netflix in England, where I live... Next thing after watching that, Netflix is suggesting me to watch this one, "Uncut Gems"... I haven't seen it yet but, I will do going off how good, "Good Time" was... I might even put it on now....
Absolutely loved this film. Also, I've never seen Adam Sandler much in interviews before but I always ignorantly assumed he was a jackass because of the sometimes mean-spirited and obnoxious characters he plays in comedies, but I must say from this interview alone that I've completely turned around. He's absolutely adorable.
What I love about the actors on this film is that most of them don't look and act like actors... totally believe the parts they played. Especially the goons... amazing stuff. Julia Fox is a gem....
My theater got evacuated during the bar-mitzvah dress scene so I wasn’t able to see the ending:( , but what I saw was amazing and I can’t wait to get this movie when it comes out on blu ray
Sandler has always been a great actor, he has also always made dumb feel good movies, witch ain't bad, but when the good directors like PTA or the Safdies come along, the motherfucker shiiiiness.
The film nearly gave me an anxiety attack, what a marvellous accomplishment.
White people.
You should check out Good Time
The ending tho, my heart was beating so fast...
I know, and then the sense of relief finally at the very end right before it throws a huge curveball 😭
Adam Sandler was incredible in this film.
Yeet. He killed it!
I gasped at the end
He played a compulsive gambler spinning out of control, but in his mind he was always going to win. He almost did :(
His best performance yet
@@plr2473 he is already won,*spoiler* but not be able to enjoy it *spoiler*.
Scariest film I've seen this year. Not horror scary but damn it's so thrilling
I agree.
This movie was hilarious
KG did so well, its hard for an actor to play them self without looking fake and KG played his self perfectly
Haha that is fucking hilarious..
Chris L you know Garnett or somethin?

Me and my dad walked out of the theater breathing like we had just run a marathon
That Spade joke...straight savage. Also great interview.
dang MTV give this interviewer a raise, questions were all fckin good and funny and he knew his guests well, this is how u conduct movie interviews
I love how much detail they put into when making it feel as though It takes place in 2012 especielly the iPhone 5's with ios 6. I wish more people have metointed this.
2012 was kinda weeknds presence into lowkey mainstream.. his old hair lmao
its also marvelous they hadn't chose a year that'd be bland like 1985 or 1996 way to keep things original .
yeah it’s nuts to me that 2012 is a period in time we can flash back to now
Kris Rusty yeah but remember by the late 90s people were already reminiscing on the 80s and early 90s
Chris oh for sure! still weird tho haha
Never thought I’d say Adam Sandler has matched Joaquin Phoenix’s performance this year.
waaayyyyyyyy better than joker @ me!
“I disagree” 😃
@Justin Hildenbrand Finally someone giving Joaquin props for a role he actually did well.
Vincent H. While I wouldn’t discredit other people’s opinions, I tend to agree that “joker” was very overrated. I tend to agree with the consensus of the critics
Vincent H. “I disagree” iykyk
Yo the Safdie bros went off on this film. Loved Good Time, so I was so excited to see the follow up. Can’t wait to see what comes next from them!
I'm more shocked to see MTV still exists than I was by the ending
Literally everybody in the theater at the end was shocked ending is shocking
haha saw it in Union Square and ppl were clapping on points in the Celtics game. Intense
the way the movie was going somebody had too goooooo noooooo fuck why!!!!!!!!!!!!!! watch Mother youll feel tha same way!
that movie Cry Cry also. great movies.
SERIOUSLY!!!!!!
Julie Lopez lmao my gf and i didn’t even realize it happened for a sec, we were like WHAT
You could see the ending coming a mile away... The movie was terrible...

I love when adam plays serious roles, he’s literally a magnificent actor who deserves more credit.
This is the best interview I've ever seen. Sandler is probably one of the only genuine souls of his calibre.
When my dad and I walked out of the movie theater when we saw Uncut Jems he said, "Now that's how you make a movie!"
I like the way Adam Sandler responds to questions. He seems approachable and like a good father.
The interviewer looks like a third Safdie brother.
The ending REALLY mess up my high...….. I sober up like " OH HELL NAW"
it was like running at full speed then getting shoulder checked out of nowhere

Benny Safdie was GREAT in Good Times...
Truly and incredible movie. Not like anything I’ve ever seen. One of a kind especially for Adam Sander. Well done
Great interview and amazing film
a man that why you say that :_
Thanks!
Anxiety-inducing film. Solid, worth re-watching.

It really bothers me when people talk about this movie like it's Adam's first dramatic thing ever
yo whats that 1 where hes in other peoples shoes called? i did not watch that 1you kno it?
@@Reborn77774 That would be "The Cobbler" , a biopic of Daniel Day Lewis, great dramatic movie
@@JJJameson. peace too you thanks.
like everyones forgot reign over me
people who dismissed him as an actor because they were not paying attention to his work
watched it on netflix had to pause it multiple times coz its so intense, imagine seeing it in cinema i might as well just walk out..
it's amazing how Sandler can be so smart and so sharp without being snobby and pretentious. sometimes you forgot that that's possible.
Here because the safdie bros are genius. Commented because I'm surprised mtv is still a thing. Lolz
Charles Forman // Wonder Unit the next generation of Coen Brothers ..
How strange to see a interviewer who has actual passion for what hes asking
Makes the guests actually talk instead of perform
the ending of this movie is one of the best pin drop moments in film EVER !!!!
im so happy for Sandler
uncut gems was great...and i watched good time after...im digging the safdie style

This is a great interview and movie I watched it insanely high and was in and out of my body
End of year 2019 was so good to me, bring me backkkk
Really great interview here. Funny and interesting throughout ✌🏻

i really didnt expect sandler to be so likeable im pleasantly surprised
“You can do it!” Get an Oscarrrr.
Not even a nomination, fuck the Academy
This movie was Next Level Sandler. So awesome
im ok with adam sandler becoming the safdie brothers new muse
I can see that actually, kinda like Jeff Nichols and Michael Shannon.
Great interviews hats off mate
I thought that was Shia Lebauf with those 2 wth they look so alike
great film, great interview
Great film and I love the ending
Movie had me pn the edge of my seat! The middle brother looks like Shia LaBeouf
Gotta day, what a Great interviewer.

Best movie of the year
Sad movie I love Adam Sandler
best film in years.
There's a lot of PT Anderson and Robert Altman in this film. That's definitely a compliment, it's a terrific film.
Shout out too Julia FOX. A+

This gave me instant gastrointestinal pain followed up by preface to a heart attack
Great film
The Weeknd has strong hands
This dude too funny
Surprisingly good interview despite it being mtv
True. They were more loose here than all the other. And great set of q's
Benny Safdie and Josh have similar sounding voices.
Good movie 😀
horowitz, sandler, safdie? so much diversity in one room
