    Outstanding result. How does the ink looks after 10 washes or more?

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  2 года назад +2

      If the process is done correctly, there will be no fading and should hold up well. My understanding from some of the people that have been in the industry a while is the ink holds up as long as traditional screen printing. I have several shirts and hoodies I have printed that have been through many washes and I have not noticed any cracking or discoloring yet!

      If garment is pretreated & cured correctly, it should last for at least 30. We have shirts that have been washed over 50 times and sometimes in hot water and they still look good. I also have some that didn’t hold color as long and it’s because I didn’t pretreat well.

    How do you set up x2 white passes, I'm using Cadlink digital factory v10.
    Great vids BTW, I'm struggling getting vibrant colours with dtg on my 2100 but dtf are great, pretty frustrating at times.

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  Год назад +1

      Not sure on cadlink but on kothari you can toggle a second white pass. I think this may be an option on the higher level prints in garment creator. Otherwise, you can stop the print after the first white and re-print with a second white and cmyk. Not ideal but a bit of a work around.

    Alright, so you have an embroidery room and one printing room. Any other rooms that might be interesting to know of? 😄

      Not yet 😅I keep my computer in my bedroom so I guess technically that would be my 'office'

      Hi! Unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with the L800, perhaps there are some other videos that may help or communities on Facebook that may be useful

    What RIP software do you use? And link tot he tuclock acrylics?

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  2 года назад

      I use Kothari (similar to Equipment Zone's EZ RIP) and occasionally Garment Creator depending on the project. Allegedly the RIP software save money but the main reason I find myself using it is because the settings allow you get better dialed in and is a bit easier to use once you learn it.

    Hey! What did you put under the hoodie for hight difference?

    • @LovesBranding

      Hi, I talk about this at around 5:25. For this platen, I have the plexiglass risers that slot into the platen

    Thanks for the tips! Just wondering what kind of pretreatment you use for the hoodie? Especially when it’s a blend. Did you use dark polyester? Or dark cotton pretreatment?
    Thanks again!

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  Год назад

      Thanks for watching! These hoodies are 100% cotton on the outside which is why I prefer to use them. Because of this, I use my regular dark pretreat for it. I recommend Firebird FBX-100 Gen 3 or Creek Dark/Universal pretreat!

    • @nothgir
      @nothgir Год назад

      @@LovesBranding you can use any dark pretreat formula for a dark garment as long as it has 50% or more cotton. Some people use half polyester/half cotton pretreatment. I tried it before and see no difference in the result between that concoction and dark cotton pretreatment.

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  Год назад +1

      @@nothgir Correct, I've done some testing even including tri-blends and have been able to get good results. It all depends on getting good pretreat. For the highest quality prints, I always recommend 100% cotton but its very possible to get good results on 50/50 or other blends.

    The only way you get it to print two layers of white is level 6?

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  2 года назад

      You don't need to do a double white but for hoodies, I think it makes the color pop a bit more. This is automatically turned on/off with the higher levels. With a rip software, you can toggle this separately.

      @@LovesBranding I use garment creator for my f2100 i appreciate you

    • @LovesBranding

      @@VeezTeez I believe with garment creator, the only way to toggle two layers is with the level 6 print option.

  • @nothgir

    Am I understanding that the platen height was at 6?

    • @LovesBranding
      @LovesBranding  Год назад +1

      For the hoodie, I had to remove one of the spacers so it is much lower than 6 to make enough space for the pocket to go inside the machine

    • @heinerradau
      @heinerradau 2 года назад

      Yeah it takes quiet some time, but I guess for artistic limited editions and outstanding quality, this is just the right way to go.
      I used to go for DTF and it’s got some advantages about speed and no pretreat.
      How about the maintenance of your epson DTG printer? I heard that you gotta keep these kind of machines running 24/7 to avoid cloggings..?

      😂 We did the run on some shirts for a customer and I wanted to test it on a hoodie to show him. There's always room to put in more work if they're willing to pay 😁
