I’m so glad you’re going through the forest scenes, this piece especially. I’m not sure what it is about it, the rhythm or harmonies, but it has a deeply nostalgic effect on me. It gives me goosebumps.
I've been following you for a long time and you really been improving your production. Nice to watch your videos. And you seem to really care about music
Great idea and analysis! Although I feel the piece slightly differently (focusing a bit more on the atmosphere than on the grooviness), but that's a personal view. Maybe I'll do my own someday ;-)
hey thanks for analyzing one of my favorite pieces! a question - I never figured out how to interpret the staccatos on the melody (m 5-6). I know they shouldn't be short and dry. so I thought I should change the pedal very clearly between chords. But most recordings, they play with very smooth pedaling as if the staccatos aren't there. Except Uchida's recording, which for me exaggerates all the staccatos too much. Why did Schumann write the staccatos?? What do they mean??
Criminally underrated channel. I also have to admit that I simply enjoy your voice.
I totally agree that it's underrated!
Thank you for this wonderful contribution to the world. The way how you're able to simplify the understanding of music like this is a treat to watch.
It's my pleasure!

I look forward to the “haunted” piece later on!
Schumann and Scriabin are my favorite composers, I'm happy you make videos on them!
As I Said, I SHOULD listen to more Schumann
Awesome! I wasn't familiar with this set of scenes from Schumann. Now I'll go listen to them all. Thanks for sharing!

Perfect Episode!! Not too much not too brief and the performance at the end. Just great thanks 🙏
Lovely to hear an explanation of it. I just play it only following the notes but haven't a clue about modulations
