I love this channel so much...my favourite recording of this piece...he doesn't necessarily play in the "Schumann style" but somehow manages to capture the essence of the music better than anyone else I heard...thank you for uploading all of Kempff's wonderful performances!!
@@kyleclef One would be right to think so. That is how I would play Schumann. But I am of a different opinion. I've studied his journals and letters. I've spoken to his family. Therefore I'd wager more conservatism in playing "like a Schumann". But it's all speculation after all, no one person is the same.

Have always loved listening to Kempff. I still have all his recordings of the Beethoven sonatas. Impossible to tire of them.
