What’s the difference between this one and LaCie Rugged you made a video about a year ago?. I have a DJI mini 4 and I’m just filming for fun and doing very minor editing but it’s starting to take a lot of space on my computer. Any recommendations for best storage product for my videos?
Great question! This one is basically just a lot faster and is best suited for professionals working with paying customers. The original one I recommended (the LaCie), is still great and a perfect fit for everyone else! Especially those on a budget. I’d probably recommend the LaCie for someone in your situation where you are just doing it for fun. I believe I linked both in the description of this video 👍

I do have Samsung t7 1TB but i need a backup SSD for my old work and is it fast as T7 ?
never used a t7! They are expensive tho it looks like and reviews aren’t as good as Crucial. I just know these Crucial drives are great. We have a bunch of them now and we use them for all our paid client video work
The crucial X6 is slower at 800MB/s vs the Samsung T7 at 1050MB/s
T7 is less reliable (tons of people complaining about them), and twice as expensive!! 800MB/s is more than fast enough for professional work.
Bought one because of your recommendation and yes they are amazing! So easy to pack to travel with and lightweight. Way faster than the previous drive I was using

Hey guys, I have been using a WD Black 5TB hard drive to store footage and been editing with it…but I’ve definitely hit the wall on speed with it. I edit on DaVinci Resolve for IPad, if I were to get one of these Crucial SSDs, is it possible to save the project to it and finish it with it as well? I just don’t want to save everything on a new SSD and not have the project load(I ran into that when I used to edit on Lumafusion)
If the source footage is on the original drive, it’ll remain to be slow. If you want things faster, you’ll need to copy everything to the new SSD

Wow I really just watched this a day to late I just bought the samsung t7 1 terabyte for 80 bucks you mean to tell me I could of got a 2 terabyte for 40 dollers more SMH maybe I will return this one and get the crucial but is it as fast as the samsung and built just as good man I wish I seen this 2 days ago lol 👍
My opinion is the crucial is a better drive. It’s not as fast, but the extra speed from the t7 is overkill, most people won’t ever notice the difference. I do commercial video work on these crucial drives and it’s perfect, we own many of them
@AlliandWill should I go with the x9 x8 or x7 because I was looking at them and the x9 has the same write speed as the samsung I have 1050mbs I'm mainly using it for video editing so it's not so hard on my computer because I have a slower computer lol
I’d recommend the one I have linked in the description, it’s the one we use. The faster one is more expensive and not worth it in my opinion
