- Ernie Hudson and his fellow "Ghostbusters" stars, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Annie Potts and director Ivan Reitman talk to Al Roker and the "Today" show exclusively as they reunite 30 years later for a once-in-a-lifetime Entertainment Weekly cover shoot

"Its really hard to recreate something that was so beautiful" - Bill Murray.
He was totally right.
It's interesting how Bill has come around on Ghostbusters: for years it was just another movie to him. He didn't want to do the sequel and only did it so he could make The Razor's Edge
Sigourney is in her 60s and yet looks to be in her 40s, mind is blown.
Not hard when your make up can stop a bullet
I wouldn't go that far. In 2014 she was about 65 and looked 57. Annie Potts was and still is the real cutie. Annie Potts/Janine was always one of my older women crushes growing up in the 80s and 90s.
I love when they are asked about a Ghostbusters 3, and Annie Potts turns around to Bill and goes "Yeah Bill what do ya say to that?" I don't know about you but the SHADE was strong with Annie LOL
Ernie Hudson should still be part of the new cast!!!
Ernie Hudson looks fantastic. In this clip he's in his late 60s, but looks 50.
Its not the same without Harold Ramis or Dan Aykroyd.
And Rick Moranis
Dan Ackroyd was there for the photo shoot. He just wasn't in this interview.
How could I forget Rick? Nice catch there. He was an integral part of the franchise. I don't know why I missed it. But when he retired, he really meant it. So much so that he didn't even lend a voice to Ghostbusters the Video Game. I do have to commend him for dedicating himself to fatherhood though. That's a real laudable commitment.
gokaury Actually he was interesting coming back as Louis Tulley in Ghostbusters: The Video Game (2009). Unfortunately he waited a little too long and their was hardly enough memory left over to put him in. Had Terminal Reality gone ahead and included Louis in thegame, he would have either been in a fully body cast(as the result of an accident while helping the guys), or just his hand and arm would be seen at the Firehouse between levels. See The Ghostbusters Wiki for more information on this.
Also - where the hell is Rick Moranis ???... he is still alive.
Dan Aykroyd must have been busy with something else at the time, because he did do press with the other cast members on the Jimmy Kimmel show.
*I want the KEY MASTER back!
Wow... Annie Potts looks amazing 😍😍
she would always get it in fairness
Man I'll never forget in Ghostbusters 2,when the guys went down Underground and they made it to that railroad track, and they started yelling to hear their echoes and when Winston yelled HEY,and whatever that was said back his name,Winston I remember laughing so hard, lmao:)
im 11 and still,Im watching GHØSTBUSTERS till today.I think i watch 469 times
The ultimate re-watchable movie of ALL TIMES.
As far as I am concerned the video game will always be Ghostbusters III to me since it brought back a majority of the principle cast and gave us fans the chance to don a(virtual) Jumpsuit and Proton Pack as the Rookie Ghostbuster and help them out. Plus the IDW comic books have been fun reads and as far as I am concerned Harold Ramis may be gone, but Dr. Egon Spengler is alive and well in my imagination and in the pages of those comic books.
I really need a ghostbusters reunion movie
Anne’s Vlogs Dan Akroyd confirmed a few weeks ago to Dan Rather that the remaining cast members are going to do a Ghostbusters movie together.
Then again, I dont want another Blues Brothers 2000.
Get ready.
Ernie, man, you were, are and will always be awesome! please, sir, come and take part in Ghostbusters 3! One more ride!
Ghostbusters 3 with the three remaining cast members coming summer 2020 can't wait!!!!
What. for real
me kinda thought it was original cast but now they say it could be kids. Wrong choice
I bought both 1 and 2 on my iPad with the special features
Fun story: I grew up with the animated series instead of the films, so when I saw the live action version I thought it was based off of the cartoons ha ha ha
Same with me! and one day the movie started playing on the tv and i was SO excited that a movie also existed.
Sigourney Weaver... Still hot as fuck
Sigourney Weaver looks damn good. Murray compared to her looks good 15 years older.
She is older than Murray.
Phuck Ewe: Only by a year
Weaver is wearing makeup, Bill is not lol.
E. Hud is super cool!
Fun fact: Ernie Hudson attempted to reprise his role as Winston Zeddemore as a voice actor in 'The Real Ghostbusters' but lost out to Arsenio Hall.
Meanwhile, the episode TAKE TWO, which spoofed the making of The Ghostbusters' film, actually snuck in Dan Ackroyd's voice for an uncredited cameo! He played the studio executive who showed the gang around the studio, joking that he'd love to hear their input on the script (as long as they didn't have to change anything!) 🇵🇷🇺🇸😊
that's Hollywood
Jose Morales I did not know that.
wow the cast is so handsome and soooo beautiful still All of them !!!❤️😘🌟
YES # 3 Followers Are waiting patiently!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RIP Harold He Was Important part Sadly Missed !!!
4 min interview with the original cast.. still more entertaining than the entire reboot
When will the 40th anniversary be then. is it in 2024 or what year I got to meet the actor Ernie Hudson today at gaming convection in miwaukee. he was so nice.
I like Ghost Busters and I'm a big fan
Likewise
I really love Ghostbusters, best reunion ever. Who gonna call? GHOST-BABES, what!! NO!!! GHOSTBUSTERS!!!
I miss and love them and wish they would come back just one more time... What a third need is good story and a guy or woman to replace the late and very dear Harrold Ramis rest his soul. And I honestly believe it could happen. The story of the pc game was amazing and they could 1000 pct.
This legit gave me heavy feels
HAROLD 😢😢😢😢😢
Awesome interview !
Where’s Dan Aykroyd? He’s on the magazine cover but not there for the interview?
I love how Al Roker always thinks he's part of the story, like he's just as funny as the people he is interviewing
gets the whole cast
interviews billy murray for 98 % of interview
dollysinn Gets a large diaspora of the cast* interviews just the star. Its still douchey
Bill is the reason why it took this long to finally get something going with making the movie... When the center character actor becomes difficult, everything gets hung up. Probably why they turned to Bill to say something... It's all on you, Bill!
Where’s Dan Aykroyd?
Still waiting for the third movie...
annie potts looks great for her age you would after many face lifts. but seriously look at ernie Hudson he looks great for 68. they are older but they have still got it.
michael jagger I have to agree with you there! I was sorely disappointed when they wouldn't be featured in the new Ghostbusters movie with an all female cast, which, in my personal opinion, is a huge slap in the face to every Ghostbuster fan out there! I'm sorry, but Ghostbusters is NOT Ghostbusters without the originals in there. If JJ Abrams could do it with Mark, Harrison, and Carrie for The Force Awakens, they sure can for the new movie. And Bill Murray will be starring in the new one! But it will probably just be a small cameo. Probably not even as Peter Venkman. It's sad. It's truly sad.
+michael jagger of course now they all are (including Harold Ramus) in the reboot doing cameos... Bill Murray had the longest cameo, whereas Sigourney Weaver I'll say had the best as another character in the movie. Annie Potts was the only one who's cameo came the closest to her character, Janine Melnitz. Rick Moranis, who was said to be the only original cast member then who agreed to make a cameo in the reboot, was a total no show in all.
Winston easily best the Ghostbuster in both the movies and the cartoon.
there's also ghostbusters the video game
You mean Dan wasn't there shilling his vodka?
what,s your favourite line from ghostbusters ?...i like line when ray is being interviewed on t.v and the host asks " How is Elvis? and have you seen him lately ? "....lol
you're very attractive Wayne
@@gerrydooley951 i think you mean " sharon tate " is attractive ...BUT ...if you think my words are attractive then " hey thanks " [ but i think you mean the woman in the picture ...huh ?....lol ]
@@waynedoyle5584 oh no , I mean you Wayne
@@gerrydooley951 ohh you....wink ....mr. smooth talker....lol
@@waynedoyle5584 you get me Wayne, you really get me
where's Dan ackroy
Everyone looking at Bill hoping he'll agree to a third film so they all get a payday!
Or it's because they had a great time making the first two movies, still enjoy them to this day, and want to make another one.
Didn't know 'they hate this' was ab lib'd, so funny n random it always makes me laugh
3:27 yea, Bill was right. Its hard.....even if u had a all female cast and their director calling the fanbase “man-babies” and pushing an agenda.
That isn't bad.
That’s A big Twinkie.
Hi
Get this, the library ghost of course was the first official ghost the guys would encounter in the original film. But I bet you didn't know that she technically appeared 1 year later in another Columbia Pictures horror/comedy film. Remember when she morphed into a demonic winged creature? That same model became the vampire bat Chris Sarandon would morph into during the final battle in the 1985 classic FRIGHT NIGHT. Just freeze frame the creature's face when it attacks Peter Vincent. It's the same face as the demonic ghost the librarian would change into! Cool, huh?
I met Bill Murray the other day. Check my profile you’ll see. Fucking awesome.
Who you gonna call?
Too bad Ernie was completely marginalized in this movie, his scenes were literally cut. Fuck Ghostbusters. He's a great actor, just the wrong color at the wrong time.
No. Not everything is racist you ignorant fuck.
I am usually not in all for reboots, but if they want to make another one, reboot it. It wouldnt be the same with the original cast cause Egon died. It wouldnt bother me if they rebooted it cause its been what 25 years since the second movie, and I love Ghostbusters
Yeah, No Egon no Ghostbusters. He was the brains behind the team and his comedy came through because of his geeky obsession with tech and slime. They could probably re-cast him, but it wouldn't be the same without Harold Ramis.
ParatexL I have no desire to see this remake with the female cast cause it looks lame and dumb
ParatexL traitor
ParatexL Because this film is an insult to the Ghosbusters legacy.
ParatexL Reboots suck! Suck, suck, suck!
part 2 was a joke
“ Who ya gonna call “……..
They all hate the new ghostbusters! Just listen and check there reaction. It's gonna be a chick film. Wow they should call it babe busters wow! This is from there mouths wow! The new ghostbusters will be trash
so what, do you hate women? All of the women in it are funny; part of it is funnier than #2. Get over it , it's just a movie.
if they hate it so much I guess they should've done their own sequel.
Nbc Iluminati
I come from the future to see how miserable the cast looked lying about the shit reboot movie. They all were dying inside. Lol
