In my opinion the question of gripstyle is a moot point. It doesnt matter and it always comes down to personal comfort and consistency. You can have the weirdest grip that noone else uses and can have a really good aim and i think that is the lesson of the video. I think the way Shroud’s holding his mouse with his little finger gives him a perfect flick to enemies head, that’s why his a monster when it comes to aiming.
I dont think you know how much i enioy and appreciate your videos. My hand grip is my whole hand is on the mouse but my fingers i sideways on the mouse nit sure if that bad or not actually
Another way to look at it is that basically any kind of grip has the potential to be a good grip. So just hold the mouse as comfortable as possible, and stick with it. :)
Would like to see a vid like this, but on their arm positions. Most go with the wrist or half arm, but I'm curious how many put their elbow on the desk.
The most alpha way to hold your mouse is upside down. Top of the mouse on the mousepad, use your palm and move it around the mouse to track. Bind fire and scope to other keys
The reason why twistzz hold his mouse that way is because of his low sensitivity. As a low sensitivity player myself there is constant movement of the arm and picking us the mouse, and also note that the grip you use determines the movement of your arm, wrist, fingers. Low sensitivity players are most arm aimers and hence the vast majority are plam or plam Claw gripped, where as high sensitivity aimers are more relient on the micro adjustments of the fingers and wrist and hence Claw or finger grips.
My personal grip is kinda like a hybrid of the two, if an enemy is strafing or moving left to right, I'll have quite a strong palmgrip as I have better horizontal control that way personally. But in games like OW, if there's someone flying like a Pharah, I'll use more of a fingergrip so I have more control of my vertical aim.
Great Video, but Mr. Ron, my question is regarding the height of my table, i can't seem to find the sweet spot. So what should be the optimal height of a gaming table?
What you guys need to talk is about the grips base on sensitivity too most pro players have over extended grip while using lower sensitivity and higher sensitivity player uses a more relaxed palm grip or finger tip grip

Key thing about which grip works best for you, depends heavily on type of sensitivity you use. For instance, shrouds/stewies is better suited for low sensitivity. You'd have a hard time doing finger movements when you axe your pinky, but being low sensitivity makes it so finger movements can be done with your wrist instead. While someone like Heaton could flip flop to a high sensitivity and still have great deal of control, if hes done it before. Since he will have full finger control with that grip. His is about same as shrouds csgo sensitivity. It will take you longer to master Heatons form of hand grip, for it will allow all forms of mouse control. Shrouds will be faster to learn, for it skips most finger control, while being more relying on wrist/elbow/shoulder. Heatons is interesting since he rests on his wrist with elbow downward below table, something most likely from being older cs pro, when mouse pads were much smaller. He just kept doing what worked for him.
Zywoo and Twistzz is also very interesting. They play with arm and wrist only too. But with the way they hold the mouse there is a big gab between the under arm and mousepad, so the whole under-arm movement is like a giant hand wich uses fingertipp grip if you know what i mean. I do this too and it works awesome for low sens. It combines the advantages of fingertip and claw at the same time. And by underarm not touching the table you are also faster at low sens. I play quake live/champions too with 60cm/360 with no problem. I know everybody is built different and have another preferences, but i think this mouse grip is very underated.
i mean i do perfectly fine and i change grip depending on situation, if i need to swing i get more palm on it, if then if im holding and angle i might get less grip and just use my finger tips etc
@@ronrambokim do u know if how I position my arm/elbow matters? like right now my mouse is kinda close to the edge of the table and my elbow is down. I mostly use my wrist to aim. You think I should change it so that i have my elbow resting on the table or what
motmus mom my palm is in the air and I touch mousepad only with forearm (some part of it). Scream, Automatic, Bizzle are the only pro that use fingertip grip and they all play on low sens
iMangolix some pros do it this way, some pros do it another way. After researching I figured out that its personal preference. I can give you yt link where you can see that. So do like you’ve been doing it all long. Because you get used to one way already. Keep doing it
I do know some pro players actually have a weird grip or sens but still have insane aim. But n0thing made a tutorial or tip on how to aim with your arm and wrist, he said wrist is generally better at precise aiming while arm allows you to made a wider movements and his tip is based on normal edpi for csgo. And I always think his tip really make sense. I hope it helps. btw I use my ring finger for right click when playing fps. I first saw that from steel and I tired it, it feels really good after getting used of it!!!
twists uses different grips before the round begins and when aiming, and its not all ablout the grip some guys have sloppy aim like device/allu/zywoo/auti, so no fast movements just a more relaxed grip, while some others have twitchy aim or rly fast flicks like elige or stew Sloppy aim flicks are slower but more accurate
so i use claw but i do it a little differently than other people i place my mouse sideways close to my keyboard so the cable goes under the keyboard a little
Bro let me tell you the story of that why w0xic sens is very high. He told to us this story. When he started to play CS: GO, His computer conditions were bad. He couldn't find big place and a big mousepad. He gets used to playing in narrow spaces. He couldn't make bigger his mousepad places then he makes higher his sensitivity.
@@haphong1428 just look at your fps counter in the middle of a match. If it stays belove 300 fps 99% of the time you can keep the fps_max at default 300. You won't notice any difference and the loading times will be much shorter.
My problem is with my shaky hands. I have to like flex my arm too much to make sure it softens the jitters. But sometimes it makes it worse cuz of anxiety. I cant figure out where I should place my pivot point or where the pressure on the table should be. Would that be a video on itself? About where pressure points should be with like a sensitivity scale. So maybe you show proper wrist aiming for different incriments in sensitivity. Thanks for everything u do btw.
Hey Ron, I am a left handed CS:GO player and I was wondering if i should keep using my current mouse (Razer Mamba), or if I should switch to an ambidextrous mouse. My current mouse actually feels really good in my hand, although being a right-handed mouse.
Memetix yeah its completely fine to like right handed-ergo mice even with your left hand, you might actually have a hard time switching to ambidexteous... Or it might feel great, just maybe go in some store and try out mice in hand
When I got my first gaming PC it was way after I started using PCs for general use at school and stuff like that so because of that I've always used the palm grip, just tested it out on the Aim Botz one side kill 100 bots challenge and with palm grip it was 1:10 and without ever using the fingertip grip before I got 1:00 on the first try, pretty crazy difference considering I've had like 5 years of palm grip gaming experience and 1 minute of fingertip grip experience.
it looks like fingertip grip will place at least some pressure on the wrist and carpal tunnel. I used to play with my wrist sort of anchored down on the mousepad and all movement coming from wrist and fingers. I have been working on palm grip that involves zero weight being borne on my wrist. What do you recommend if ergonomics and longevity are priority?
I personally think elige's grip is best suited for anyone who wants to try a new grip. You are gripping the bottom base of your mouse with the inner palm that way the front side of the mouse becomes light. Ive tried this grip and my aim has become much more crispier i feel. Yeah , depends on how good your day is too , but in general. Try it out. Im an LEM so dont think its a silver opinion :D. Cheers.

motmus mom my palm is in the air and I touch mousepad only with forearm (some part of it).
Keep doing it
@@yogggoogle3965 I'd like the u to give me the link bro. Also ty for the tip
The middle Edpi is the best Edpi
twists uses different grips before the round begins and when aiming, and its not all ablout the grip some guys have sloppy aim like device/allu/zywoo/auti, so no fast movements just a more relaxed grip, while some others have twitchy aim or rly fast flicks like elige or stew
Sloppy aim flicks are slower but more accurate
isn t scream playing claw? looks for me the same as shroud
so i use claw but i do it a little differently than other people i place my mouse sideways close to my keyboard so the cable goes under the keyboard a little
Bro let me tell you the story of that why w0xic sens is very high. He told to us this story. When he started to play CS: GO, His computer conditions were bad. He couldn't find big place and a big mousepad. He gets used to playing in narrow spaces. He couldn't make bigger his mousepad places then he makes higher his sensitivity.
It would be interesting to know what mouse they were using in the video, im sure i can look it up though.
3:45 R.I.P. pinky..😂😂
Is shrouds palm touching his mouse?
It looks like it
i play on a laptop should i cap the fps or just let it 0 or 999
0 and 999 cap are pretty much the same so it doesnt rlly matter i would go with whatever you like better rlly
@@prodbydominikm oh thank you thats my bad i always thought they were the same
Play with max fps
@@prodbydominikm so j just set it 999 for the best performance right ?
@@haphong1428 just look at your fps counter in the middle of a match. If it stays belove 300 fps 99% of the time you can keep the fps_max at default 300. You won't notice any difference and the loading times will be much shorter.
The hardest one to master of them all is the TELEKENETIC mouse grip. 7:44
I'll look into making a pivot video :D
@@ronrambokim Right on! Simply the best
I'm using a combination of Palm and Claw grip
Hey Ron,
I am a left handed CS:GO player and I was wondering if i should keep using my current mouse (Razer Mamba), or if I should switch to an ambidextrous mouse. My current mouse actually feels really good in my hand, although being a right-handed mouse.
If it feels good, I wouldnt recommend switching
Memetix yeah its completely fine to like right handed-ergo mice even with your left hand, you might actually have a hard time switching to ambidexteous... Or it might feel great, just maybe go in some store and try out mice in hand
thanks u helped me to find good grip for me
When I got my first gaming PC it was way after I started using PCs for general use at school and stuff like that so because of that I've always used the palm grip, just tested it out on the Aim Botz one side kill 100 bots challenge and with palm grip it was 1:10 and without ever using the fingertip grip before I got 1:00 on the first try, pretty crazy difference considering I've had like 5 years of palm grip gaming experience and 1 minute of fingertip grip experience.
And after about 20 minutes of warming up I got 58.9 seconds with fingertip grip then after that 1:07 with my old palm grip.
it looks like fingertip grip will place at least some pressure on the wrist and carpal tunnel.
Cheers.
I have finger tip its just fits me well at aiming at heads and track it.
Can you make a video on sensitivity ?? Extended guide
Sure, I'll have to think about it more... It's a challenging thing to teach/explain
I think I found a better way to hold my mouse just now! thanks! off to csgo to try this out
bruh, heaton looks like he is about to be sucked into the monitor
I’m left handed and always played an extremely relaxed palm grip
