You're right Ris, Red vs Blue isn't after Venom vs Crona and the actual next time is Sabrewulf vs Jon Talbain. It's a halloween episode (which seems to have become a bit of a tradition since Ganon vs Drac) and for that reason along with delaying Red vs Blue to have it tie in with the release of Red vs Blue Zero they decided to release Sabrewulf vs Jon Talbain first to have it be released on halloween. The connection between Sabrewulf and Jon Talbain is literally just that they are werewolfs from fighting games btw, Wiz even calls the episode "the werewolf episode" at one point.
@@Ris_Grestar 2099's powers work a bit differently than Peter's standard set since they were engineered in his time trying to recreate Spidey's basic template, so his genetic alterations had some different results from the different process.
Basically RVB was supposed to act as a promotion for the show in that universe, but it got delayed 3 or so weeks so they swapped it with sabrewulf VS Jon. Weird because this episode was supposed to come out alongside venom 2 but that got delayed a year (she ra vs ww was supposed to promote ww2 as well but covid)
Feels like there should've been a bit more after Venom's last line; like a last stand of some kind. As is, it's just cool line, then Venom stands there and gets killed. I liked the spritework on Crona and that line delivery on "I know, it's black" was decent. I dunno, this episode doesn't give me much to talk about. It's perfectly fine, but as time goes on it gets overshadowed by more and more episodes.
Wish DB finished for the Knull Saga to end before doing battle. Crona engulfed the moon but Knull engulfed the whole planet in Symbiotes, blacking out the sky. Knull and his army was beating around literally every hero on the planet at the same time. He only lost because the Enigma Force possessed Eddie and Venom for a short time giving them cosmic level power scaling to Eternity himself. Even after the Enigma Force left them, Eddie and Venom took Knull's role as the King in Black, basically getting all of Knull's powers. And Knull managed to defeat Thor in a 1v1.
You know despite siding with Venom and that he ended up losing, he did win before when he fought Bane back in Season 4 but he did put up a good fight though and I am not disappointed that my favorite Marvel character lost. Next Time, from reading the past comments especially from Dante Yazidjian's replies, the next time isn't Red VS Blue, it's Sabrewulf VS Jon Talbain (Killer Instinct VS Darkstalkers) as going back to my comment on your reaction to Goro VS Machamp, this is what I was mentioning that Season 7 wasn't that kind to the Video Game characters and that it was too Comic Book heavy like I do have a limit on how much I can take using the same medium especially back to back but I am glad Season 8 toned that down. But yeah, see you next week for the Werewolf Episode.
I don't know whether this result was accurate at the time or not, I'm not a comic book guy. But this result is certainly inaccurate now considering Venom recently defeated Knull of all people. Venom should eat the whole Soul Eater verse for breakfast now.
Eh, that was with a Super-Epic-Final-Transformation by gaining the power of the Enigma Force aka Captain Universe, who also turned out to have been the God of Light to Knull’s God of Darkness, as well as combining the Silver Surfer’s board(which Surfer had turned into a sword) with Mjolnir into a glowing Venom logo shaped battle-axe. Still stupid, but temporary. Though he did become the new god of the symbiotes.
