Hi blood moon! Currently working on the same base you used for blood moon for my personal serg. What did you use to make the jaw work? I’ve tried elastic but it’s too stiff and my jaw doesn’t move smooth enough :(
I’m still in the process to figure what will work best. I used some springs from a Harbor Freight kit that had enough rebound but not too much tensile strength where I couldn’t open my mouth. I’m not that happy with the springs option. On the Hypnotic version, I used elastic but you need to leave it a little looser but not slack jaw. The elastic I used was about 1” wide and I bought it from Hobby Lobby, I can’t seem to find it online, but it’s seeming to do the job quite well so far, I’ll see what the long term looks like, but I think it’ll hold up well. All these projects are a bit of trial and error, it’s fun but painful at the same time. Overall, I like it more than springs. I love the base though, they did a wonderful job designing it. It may not be a perfect, “true Sergal” shape, but it’s a beautiful base. My current tinker project has been assembling parts for a Protogen…oh my what a difference project that is! Good luck!!!🍀
