When I made my first head, lining was my worst enemy but now with more practice and watching videos like this one, I now master lining and my fursuit making skills have improved significantly.

Thank you for sharing this! It is very helpful for making my daughter's first fursuit. I do have one trick to share for you to quickly turn the whiskers right side out. Pin a string to one end of the whisker fabric before sewing. Attach a string to the pin that you will sew inside of the whisker tube. Use the string to pull the pinned end through the tube to turn it right side out.
I'm new to all this but I really want to make a Bluey Mascot costume to surprise my 5 year old daughter. Would you be able to recommend any of your videos that could possibly guide me to accomplish this?
Thus video is very helpful. I'll consider using this method if I do make a fursuit. Thanks for the info. Can't wait for your next video. Keep up the great job.
Omg I’m planning to make my very first 3D printed fursuit and this video really REALLY helped a lot and your fursuits are amazing. Thank you so much for the tutorial :)
I just bought your kemono 3d file, and it's printing now!! My fursona is all the same color minus the eyebrows, would the process of taping then drawing it out on the fur be the same?
Funny enough that question was just discussed by fursuit makers on Twitter yesterday. The conclusion seemed to be technically only on the foam padding (You don't want raw foam to touch your face, It's not comfy at all). Personally I want to try out partial lining on the next 3d printed head and see how it looks and feels like
I was wondering how you make the eyes for the fur head. Do you buy them that way? If not, how do you make them? Thank you for your time. I really enjoyed the video.
@@kaitheradical Any mannequin head would do just fine actually if you're just planning on making them for yourself or a few friends! My friend makes AMAZING fursuit heads and she just uses a cheap foam one that has been kicked, tossed, and drawn all over throughout the years. However make sure to use a measurer to get YOUR face measurements (Mainly height, bottom of chin to start of head. If you rely on a mannequin for this it most likely won't fit your chin) and make sure to try your head on and off mannnnny times BEFORE FURRING to make sure it fits you snuggly.👍 The main struggle is just a 3$ one is light, so it makes it difficult to work on without proper weight plus obviously it won't last forever. But thats not hard of a workaround, just takes a bit more persistence. If you want it a bit easier you could get a harder plastic one that has more weight for a bit more money.
I was about to watch a video, but right after I clicked the thumbnail, block of two 15s unskippable ads showed up. As a creator myself, I know, the choice of ads’ length is not up to you, but the time when they display actually is. You could choose the first ad to be played after 10-15 seconds of your video, but you checked the “on the beginning” option instead. Pro tip: First 10 seconds of a video are criticality important to keep your viewer’s attention. Well, maybe next time. Have a nice day.

Having this vid for my first suit makes me feel in good hands, I still doubt my self tho. I’m getting the base today, wish me luck
How did it turn out? :D
@@Whisp_Tea still making the design! Getting fur on my bday but have to work on it when the school year starts cuz I’m leaving for Iwoa

Your videos are so helpful and informative, thanks for doing what you do! Would you ever do this tutorial but on a 3d base with a moving jaw?
I have this (I used stretchy fur tho) ruclips.net/video/CIOXWrrYZwM/видео.html
FINALLY ive been looking for the whiskers tutorial for so long, tysm!!
I wanna thank you so much, I'd bought some of your patterns on your etsy, so helpful, Thank you.

Thank you so much I was sob confused on how to line it that helps so much
You make it look so easy!
Thank you so much for your tutorial!!! I now feel confident in working on my own.
I might not be using this for a 3d printed one but this helped with me knowing how to make the other part of the head
This tutorial is an absolute godsend.
I usually watch these for preparation.
Nice video very helpful.
Can you make a digi foot paw tutorial video
I already did, here: ruclips.net/video/jPWX4di-Lhk/видео.html

thanks a lot for this tutorial I will try to create my 1 fursuit
what kind of stitch did you use on the face? also great video, it‘s really helpful! ❤️
This video is fantastic. 🎉
I really hope you make it to 900,988,900,988 Subs❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
this was really helpful! though its gonna be a bit confusing for me because my base has a back piece so im not so sure what to do
Probably the same steps as here but just skip making the straps
I’m useing fabric for everything because my fursona is a animatronic wolf (I have more animatronic ocs/fursona s but im doing flix First)
Do you have a template for the lining on the inside of the head?
I need to rebuild my foam part what would be the most secure way to extend ( modofy )it to fit a larger size ?
Maybe longer elastic bands
Maybe you can make a kemono fursuit lining tutorial
The lining method is the same as other fursuits
I have a question what is the lining material made out of and where do you get it from?
It's in the description
Can we do this with no lineig fabric in side?
Funny enough that question was just discussed by fursuit makers on Twitter yesterday. The conclusion seemed to be technically only on the foam padding (You don't want raw foam to touch your face, It's not comfy at all).

May i ask how strong is the magnets are and are can fall out?
Pretty strong, they don't go anywhere
How short do you usually shave the fur on the head? I cant really find any information on that online and I dont want to mess it up!
I don't really know, I just shave until I like it and without seeing backing
Is it possible to skip the linen and just use balaclava?
I still highly recommend lining the padding because raw foam on your skin is not comfy
I was wondering how you make the eyes for the fur head. Do you buy them that way? If not, how do you make them? Thank you for your time. I really enjoyed the video.
I make them, I show here how: ruclips.net/video/ElwYhAzrfpY/видео.html
@@MugiwaraCosplay Awesome! Thank you very much.
Question! Do you have to do the lining on the inside of the mask? Why?
It's not necessary, but it's a lot more comfortable. And it seems like it makes the mouth easier!
It also helps a lot with keeping the foam clean from sweat, ofc you can’t always protect the suit but lining dies definitely help with that :3
hi! i don’t own a mannequin head. What else could i use?
I'd just save up and buy a mannequin head. They aren't very pricey. If you can't afford it than maybe wait to start on your suit.
@@thebestbuddo you know a good one? i don’t wanna buy the 100 dollar one since that’s too much for me, know any cheaper options?

Does the tape not get stuck to the base?
You use cling film to wrap it in first so you can tape on top of it
What kind of software is for making head? if its fine to ask
Blender
What 3d printer do you use to print the headbase?
Creality cr-10 max
Can you just add fur to the 3d printed base without foam?
No, without foam padding you are not able to wear it
how would i put fabric teeth in a base like this?
You can sew them on the mouth lining
Where did you get the strap for the back of the head or if you made it how did you make it?
😮
The strap is just elastic bands sewn together
can these same steps apply to a non static jaw? i want to make sure i dont make a mistake and then the jaw wont open
Mostly. You will need to leave the jaw open while patterning for fur
@@MugiwaraCosplay what does that do?
To make sure the jaw will open after it's furred. Normal fake fur is not stretchy
@@MugiwaraCosplay ohh okay thanks
what happens if a non-static head keeps moving while you move your mouth Did I make a mistake on the size?
You mean a moving jaw head or?
moving jaw@@MugiwaraCosplay
A moving jaw head is suppose to move the jaw when you move your mouth. As long as the head is not too tight fitting it's fine
thanks@@MugiwaraCosplay
About how much material would you say you used?
Of which material? because I can't really say for most
@@MugiwaraCosplaythe fur about how many yards for the color you used the most the darker red fur
Do you caver the whole head or just the side
When making the tape pattern? If the design is symmetrical, just half of it

What do you mean?
