One thing I like about Porsche from this time is the GT3 RS and GT2 RS look like professional TUNER CARS, while the newer ones look like professional race cars. Subtle difference, has a huge visual affect. This car is classic. Love it!

Owned and drove most of the Porsche's GT3, RS, from 73RS to 964rs to all models of GT3. I kept only one and that is my 3.8RS same as yours. One of the most enjoyable street experience for a car you can have. Only drawback is the shifting, which is average. After trying a lot of things I managed to improved it a lot by installing 996 Cup shift cables, and 996 Cup shifter. Best mods you can do to it. I also need the D4 upgrades now that I see yours... ahah
Suede? Alcantara. And as someone else stated, there are two cup holders. There is a fold-down piece about 12" wide and 1.5" high right above the glovebox, and sometimes they get stuck. Once you fold it down, the cupholders can get stuck too. Nice video. I have a white 997.2 GT3. Thought about getting an RS, but my car is mint and paid for.
I certainly agree on its greatness. Mine is Aqua Blue with white gold accents and it does have 2 cupholders. I just flipped 60k miles on mine. I probably have 1,500 laps around VIR on it. Such a wonderful car.

I've always been a fan of Porsche (VW brand), but this is the Porsche 911 I fell in love with (from NFS Hot Pursuit on the PS3). You feel how great it handles through the controller. I still can't get over these beautiful looks also. I'll take this over the 992.
I own both the .2 gt3 and RS. I must say I prefer the gt3 over the rs, simply due to the aesthetics and narrow body characteristics. I’m also not crazy abt the chatter from the light weight fly wheel. The .2 gt3 is also the rarest gt3, with only around 250 (approx 10%) more produced than the RS
991.1 RS owner here. I must say the the 997.2 RS is and will always be stunning. In some ways it’s my kryptonite😂 congrats bro and 10000x win. SALUTE🙏💯
997 is the best model of the gt3rs so beautiful and underrated dude. This spec too is literal perfection, I hope to see one just like this in real life one day man
what made this car an instant classic is the size and shape. the modern porsches are very large cars, and the curves all sort of come together in a way to try and hide the size. The 997 has very accentuated lines over the wheels and headlights which really gives it style and personality.
Gota get this thing on the dyno…. Need to know what that Uber expensive dundon intake does. Also, who’s or what throttle body do they run with the bigger opening?
Late to the convo. The 997 GT3RS will always be the one and only for the pinnacle race inspired 911. I don’t care if the overhyped 992 is faster. It will never replicate the rawness and pure driving capability the Mezger platform had.

Haha but my 997.1 gt3 with d4 street power package it is my favorite car to drive, sounds sooo good.. my 458 is tuned, exhausted lowered, sounds incredible, not too many cars look better, it's faster than my gt3 997.1 but nothing is more fun to drive than a 997 gt3 anything!
@@MiamiMiles You're welcome! The first 911 I drove was a 997.2 modded to the RSR specs, by some french specialist. Such a glorious metallic engine noise. Yours under that bridge reminded me of that sound.
