This is the Great Malayalam Movie for me. Because All of my Malayalam favorite actors gather here. Mammooty, Siddique, Lalu Alex, Saikumar, Nedumudi Venu, Jagathy Sreekumar, Balachandran Chullikkadu. Playing in the one movie together it's very Marvelous. Like it's "The Expendables Of Malayalam"
Because it is a bad movie. Unnecessary heroism, unwarranted political party sycophancy, poor character development (especially of the villain) and lots of illogical scenes. It was a well deserved box office disaster.
The difference is mammoottys characters simplicity in the old one. By now, the character is overblown with inhuman proportions and it's merely disgusting.
This film shouldn't have been made. This was because it lacked a better story which affected the film in general and poor direction. If a sequel like this was gonna be filmed then it should've been done by sibi malayil as he was the creator of it's original version(August 1) and knows how to execute this film without even overcomplicating it by having mammootty in the lead role and cast other actors appropriately. This included a good screenplay to be written by S.n. swamy which was different from the original version with a different story and setting which would interest the audience and would possibly help the sequel to succeed.
