That Otto-Timmy war (probably support of independence of some vassal?) really seems to have screwed him over on top of the speed issues, since it dragged on forever, then they had massive debt, so he couldn't ever fight the Mamluks?
I like the idea, but i feel both players just pick the same country since there probably is a very obvious country (my inital guess would be either a horde, ming or otto), which would make it less fun imo.
@@fredriknumse8991 there have already been challenges where both players pick the same place because the options are limited. I think this one at least gives more freedom to approach things. Stats like monthly war exhaustion matter way more in something like this so you can fight multiple unconditional surrenders
@@THE_BLOOD_MAN yeah. But a challenge where you can pick any country, and nine out of ten times the players pick the same country is not well designed.
Because you already have their streams is there any chance you guys just let them play the game in single player? It seems speed issues have cropped up multiple times and (potentially) cost players games. I’ve loved the series so far so maybe next time you lose the ability to spectate in game in exchange for more fair competition?
@@kgapaneseschoolgirlb I don't think that's what he meant. What he meant is that it's a hardware issue since I played only on Speed5 and ended up 9 years behind :p
@@ZlewikkTV I knew exactly what he meant. Not having the right hardware is a skill issue. You gotta get on that grindset and work hard so you can have a PC that outclasses that of supercomputers used by NASA. Otherwise it’s just a skill issue man. Maybe try more unconventional methods of winning, like poisoning your adversary so you are the de facto winner as the last one standing. There’s no rule in Parabellum that says you can’t.
Do we need any more proof that AI allies suck? How often do you see the Ottos fail to conquer Constantinople? And here it happened twice, in two indepemdent games 😂
An interesting challenge, although it might need some tweaking, could be “For Odin!” As a custom nation of no more than 300 points, start as a Norse ruler, take over as many provinces in the Scandinavian area as possible.
Early version of eu4 had ''oghuz'' culture group which has include anatolian turks, azerbaijan turks and turkmen turks. But in the end they changed it because of game balance. To be honest i expected a cultural adapdation like sino-korean cultural thing in the domination dlc. However, i am 100% sure paradox will care of culture thing at eu5.
It was in a Turkic Culture group arround patch 1.15. They changed some cultures into some questionable culture groups (Turkish, Estonian, Permian, Finnish, Breton, among others) for gameplay reasons
"When you expect him to zig or zag, he zogs"
Laith out here with the bars
Ungortunate for Zlewikk to have speed issues. To be able to compete while playing 10 years less is super impressive.

one challenge I really want to see since it's so open ended is to have the most amount of OCCUPIED enemy provinces in war at the end of an hour
that is a good one

@@THE_BLOOD_MAN nah if you think about it, Oirats vs Ming with capturing the emperor is too OP for this challenge
Interesting that Ramazan is actually the strongest Beylik start (not counting releasables). You'd think it's the weakest.
I mean not being eaten by the ottos immediately does seem pretty strong to me.
I mean they are (historically) the last Beylik to fall under the Ottomans
This is peak EU4 content
Keep up the great work guys! The contestants are amazing. Well done!!!

allowing speed 5 is a bit weird imo, since it runs based on pc power, you should be playing speed 4
Nah. Not being able to play on speed 5 is a skill issue

habibis mapmod looks like a 5y old painted a map
Venice conquering Constantininople seems to occur more frequently now for some reason.
5:40 i used to use that map mode as well
Glad we have the post coach convos again :)

I like the guy on the right with hair, he used to be very bald.
gg
what map mod does habibi use
dat place strategies works 1 time every 5 games, too many bs can happen
first
Hate to see that Turkish culture group belongs to the Levantine. We have our own Turkish culture named TURKIC! Paradox should be ashamed!

Honestly, who cares? If hummus and kebabs can share a plate, so can the cultures... 🤷♂
It's because Europeans/Americans don't care about or even know just about any Turkish history
Turks just complain about it because y'all super racist against arabs
