The alternate naming for all the songs, or "Here's what I think of while listening to this peak" 0:00 Good ending type of beat, super cool, also sounds like an anime opening 0:18 A chill opening of the beach... Sonic is eating his chili dog, but then he's getting interrupted by Eggman's badniks, and here the adventure begins... 2:51 Sonic sees Robotnik, while he and his army of robots are stealing animals. He notices Sonic coming his way, and the battle starts... 4:07 Eggman fleed... Sonic is left alone at an open field... It's getting darker, and a beautiful evening opens up... 8:05 Sonic got into the Eggman's one of the bases, and he starts destroying robots. Tails is catching up on him, and together they are gonna find Robotnik here. 10:25 The adventure continues in the Flying Battery. Eggman sees the duo, and tries to destroy them, but we all know that Sonic's plot armour is too strong. Anyway, Eggman is fleeing from the scene, and our two heroes are catching up. 12:28 A tomb. A humongous tomb opens up in our view. It is pretty far away, and our duo is getting to it through all the sand and badniks. The great pyramids can be seen all the way from here. It seems like the desert never ends, but soon enough they get to the end, and see a huge entrance in front of them. 15:09 Sonic and Tails are inside of the pyramid, and see... _Mickey Mouse?????_ Yeah, idk about that, but this beat is so close to the style of Mickey Mania, I'm sorry. 16:24 Our duo sees a disabled volcano, and enter it. There are many badniks that mine the stones inside of it. Robotnik can be seen in the way, and he tries to stop our Sonic Heroes (ahaha, funny joke), but fails once again. It isn't the end, but it is pretty close... 19:07 The inside of the volcano is crumbling. It is dangerous to stay here, and Tails alarms Sonic about that. There is a beautiful view of all the stones inside, and it's shining so much, that Sonic just can't stay here any longer. (I'm out of ideas, help) Before they leave, they see an amazing wall (wow, wall) that is made all out of diamonds. (cool, diamonds) 22:01 Our duo finds a hidden palace inside of the volcano. They also see Knuckles, that tries to stop them, but our heroes tell him about Eggman's dangerous plan. They team up, and the Sonic Team is fully complete. (another joke hehehe) 26:06 And it's Knuckles! With his dangerous and full of spikes... Knuckles. Yeah, I'm out of jokes, and what? 28:35 It's a sky base! A final stretch to Robotnik's Death Egg. Our heroes defeat all the badniks and fight their way to Eggman's creation: Mecha Sonic Mk. II 30:24 This is it. Eggman's base in space. A great way to end this all. But our heroes (without Knuckles, he got electrocuted 😢) know, that if they will rest, Robotnik might attack them out of nowhere, and so they continue on, to beat him in the final fight. Once, and for all. 33:38 As Sonic and Tails go through a hall, the gravitational pull is changing... They're now upside down! It's the final stretch before they will finally beat Eggman and his evil plans. (Also this song kinda has Mettaton vibes, idk lol) 37:42 Finally, they got him cornered! Our heroes can finally defeat the giant walking, talking egg! But Eggman actually has some aces in his sleeve... (I forgot the saying 😭😭) 39:30 Robotnik in his giant mech attacks our duo! They have almost fallen, but there is still hope, and with hope Sonic dives into the robot's Master Emerald! 42:31 That's it. There's nothing left after this. It's either Sonic or Eggman. Sonic transforms into Hyper Sonic with all the collected emeralds. The final battle. Has. *Begun* _also Miku appears out of nowhere and defeats Eggman_ 47:18 Sonic won (well, Miku won) the battle. He has saved all the creatures, and now they can live on peacefully... A beautiful sunset is seen in the background, and our heroes are flying down to Angel's Island. Everyone is now safe, and other animals applause our heroes... (Knuckles too, although he did almost nothing) *_The End_* 52:56 *I SWEAR, I'M TRYING TO BE ORIGINAL!!!!!1!!11* 😭😭😭😭😭😭 Jokes aside, i think this one got a circus feeling to it. Idk what else to say. 54:20 You can see a race happening, and this song is heard at the end of it. Sonic is first, Tails got second, Knuckles got third, and Eggman lost like always. 55:33 This is the start of the race. A hype up for all the racers. Eggman is cocky, and tells everyone that he will be the winner. Sonic - "Shut up, Eggman!" (Sonic OVA fans anywhere????) 56:36 Guys, we all know, that this is just a lap ending from Virtua Racing. I'm a huge fan of Sonic and its soundtracks, so I'm reviewing each song from the game with a rating from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest. 1. Title Screen - 4/5 2. Mushroom Hill Zone Act 1 - 5/5 Catchy and enjoyable! 3. Mini Boss - 3/5 4. Mushroom Hill Zone Act 2 - 5/5 5. Flying Battery Zone Act 1 - 3/5 I appreciate the attempt to keep the original tone, but it felt slightly off. Not bad, just not amazing. 6. Flying Battery Zone Act 2 - 3/5 7. Sandopolis Zone Act 1 - 4/5 Definitely an improvement over the original, though not perfect. Still enjoyable overall. 8. Sandopolis Zone Act 2 - 3/5 I see what you were going for, but it didn’t quite land for me. 9. Lava Reef Zone Act 1 - 2/5 Hard to top the original masterpiece. I liked the slower tempo in parts, but it didn’t fully capture the essence of the original. 10. Lava Reef Zone Act 2 - 2/5 It was going well at 20:48, but the section after 21:32 missed the mark. 11. Hidden Palace Zone - 5/5 Great track, felt a bit like a Donkey Kong vibe, which I enjoyed! Not typical Sonic, but I’m into it. 12. Knuckles' Theme - 4/5 True to the original but with a nice twist. I liked it. 13. Sky Sanctuary Zone Act 1 - 4/5 A fresh take, and it works. 14. Death Egg Zone Act 1 - 4/5 Not bad at all; it even surpasses the original in some ways. 15. Death Egg Act 2 - 5/5 I’m usually not a fan of the originals, but this one’s fantastic. Perfect tempo and climax for the end-game vibe. 16. Major Boss - 3/5 Decent track, though not exceptional. 17. Death Egg Robot - 4/5 Great beat for a boss battle; it captures the epic feel. 18. The ...what is stuck? - 5/5 Nice beat to finish things off. 19. Life Will Go On - 5/5 A very chill ending beat, and I love it!
The whole album is great, but I'm mad in love with the first act of Mushroom Hill. Insanely funky, my favorite theme in the album by far. Major boss is also REALLY good, the Forces Egg Dragoon theme has always been a guilty pleasure of mine.
Some of these sound like they were done by the same composers as the soundtrack of Nosp3. Map 08 and Death Egg Act 1, do you see where I'm going with this?
SUPER hooked on Flying Battery and Lava Reef *especially*; the vibes are both Lost City from Shovel Knight and Doomsday Device/Area M from Mega Man ZX. Driving, powerful delves into the ruins of an ancient past. IT'S PERFECT.
i listened thru the entire thing and started tearing up at the credits ngl, you did such a wonderful job portraying all the zones through their music!!!!
YAYAAYAYAY i love this album thank you!!!! Sandopolis act 2 will always be my favorite, not even sure why that melody just instantly became an on-repeat classic for me.
some of these feel calmer than what the actual stages are like, but that's not a bad thing. mushroom hill 2, sandopolis 1, and hidden palace particularly give me the vibe of "what would this place sound like if it were turned into a tourist attraction/vacation spot" -oh my god you incorporated artificial intelligence bomb into flying battery zone like that one siivagunner rip-
Death egg act two goes crazy it even has a part at the end that reminds me of the rapping in find your flame, and the random mother three soundfont at the end sounds like the somber part of find your flame given this is after frontiers it makes sense.
Awesome Album! I love the PC-98 influences in the alternate Mushroom Hill music and that small bit of Turkish March in Sandopolis act 2. Also Joy Tay + A M 4 N is a crossover we all needed.
I don't think words can describe how this album made me feel. Such a roller coaster of emotions in all fronts, every single song is amazing in their own right. (the credits song is making me tear up as I'm writing this lol) Thank you, and the rest of the team for taking time out of your life's to make something so amazing.💖
I hear a LOT of melodies from Yu-No: The Girl Who Chants LOVE At The Bound Of This World (PC98) in Mushroom Hill Act 2! (And sure enough, Ryu Umemoto is among your inspirations.) Fantastic, nostalgic fusion work!
sky sanctuary is by far my favorite song from this project! the instrumentation is superb, the vibe is awesome, and i LOVE the gauntlet iv influence idk its just a 10/10 for me lmao i love it so much
Joy! This is great Those lion king drums haha I came here to say it would be cool if this could be patched into Air and then i saw someone say it can. Brilliant
Nice that we have all the jingles now, was wondering where they were. Still prefer Invincibility V1 though, anywhere I can find that? Edit: The Sonic 3 "Complete" Alternate OST mod on the ProBoards never said there was an act clear AND/OR a game over alternative!!! WHAT?😮
i chose to drop the first version of invincibility because it honestly was too hyper for my tastes. was horribly mixed as well i went more lowkey referencing virtua racing deluxe since a lot of sonic rom hacks use that ost along with other smps osts for music porting, the title screen leitmotif sprinkled in there more subtly too

It was going well at 20:48, but the section after 21:32 missed the mark.
11. Hidden Palace Zone - 5/5
Great track, felt a bit like a Donkey Kong vibe, which I enjoyed! Not typical Sonic, but I’m into it.
12. Knuckles' Theme - 4/5
True to the original but with a nice twist. I liked it.
13. Sky Sanctuary Zone Act 1 - 4/5
A fresh take, and it works.
14. Death Egg Zone Act 1 - 4/5
Not bad at all; it even surpasses the original in some ways.
15. Death Egg Act 2 - 5/5
I’m usually not a fan of the originals, but this one’s fantastic. Perfect tempo and climax for the end-game vibe.
16. Major Boss - 3/5
Decent track, though not exceptional.
17. Death Egg Robot - 4/5
Great beat for a boss battle; it captures the epic feel.
18. The ...what is stuck? - 5/5
Nice beat to finish things off.
19. Life Will Go On - 5/5
A very chill ending beat, and I love it!
The whole album is great, but I'm mad in love with the first act of Mushroom Hill. Insanely funky, my favorite theme in the album by far. Major boss is also REALLY good, the Forces Egg Dragoon theme has always been a guilty pleasure of mine.
this is like a doom midi pack for sonic. love it
Some of these sound like they were done by the same composers as the soundtrack of Nosp3.
Death egg, and the hyper Sonic theme because it reminds me of I’m here from frontiers.
55:33 Dandadan's opening be like:
I’ve been listening to some of these tracks for *years* and they still sound good. It’s cool to finally see the finished project!
Thank you for the reupload, I can't tell you how often i've relistened to these songs (And all of your other works)...
You're a great inspiration!
i listened thru the entire thing and started tearing up at the credits ngl, you did such a wonderful job portraying all the zones through their music!!!!
YAYAAYAYAY i love this album thank you!!!! Sandopolis act 2 will always be my favorite, not even sure why that melody just instantly became an on-repeat classic for me.
Beginning of mushroom hill is dope
Finally a masterpiece that isn't locked for 3 years before the RUclips Algorithm gifts me :)
These are amazing!
some of these feel calmer than what the actual stages are like, but that's not a bad thing. mushroom hill 2, sandopolis 1, and hidden palace particularly give me the vibe of "what would this place sound like if it were turned into a tourist attraction/vacation spot"
-oh my god you incorporated artificial intelligence bomb into flying battery zone like that one siivagunner rip-
YAY!!! super glad to see it complete!! Amazing effort on this massive project!!
oh this is fantastic as hell
i love ur talent bro. keep of the great work as always
AMAZING!!! (I've been listening to your music for a while and well done like always!!!!)
Finally the full album!!
All the song's are awesome, keep the good work!
A big collection of your music was just what the doctor ordered.
Death egg act two goes crazy it even has a part at the end that reminds me of the rapping in find your flame, and the random mother three soundfont at the end sounds like the somber part of find your flame given this is after frontiers it makes sense.
Nice Album soundtrack collection of the Alternate Sonic 3&K tracks you made!😄🤩😎👌
loving the Ryu Umemoto homage for Mushroom Hill Act 2
Heck yes! Peak is here!
Hey, it's the Doomsday Alt with the revised mixing!
Finally, the S3K Alternate OST is complete!
8:44 Free Bird reference
43:03 Megalovania not lol.
THIS IS WHAT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!
Awesome Album! I love the PC-98 influences in the alternate Mushroom Hill music and that small bit of Turkish March in Sandopolis act 2. Also Joy Tay + A M 4 N is a crossover we all needed.
48:54 holy fuck Scott the Woz jumpscare
Hey all.
you never cease to amaze me john. exceptional work 🙏
Death egg is just as beautiful to the ears as before
I fucking love these songs so much, they are just PEAK. No other words, Amazing Job on these mixes John!
The doomsday theme rocks so hard I have been playing it on loop for 3 days
Wow!! This is so nice, can't wait to hear it all on VCs! So far they sound so good 💛
They did, indeed, sound so good.
Been here since 2022 John Tay I love you
I don't think words can describe how this album made me feel.
Such a roller coaster of emotions in all fronts, every single song is amazing in their own right. (the credits song is making me tear up as I'm writing this lol)
Thank you, and the rest of the team for taking time out of your life's to make something so amazing.💖
Sky Sanctuary sounds like it came straight out of Shining Force and I absolutely love it
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE FLYING BATTERY!!! Act 1 sounds so smooth
sky sanctuary is by far my favorite song from this project! the instrumentation is superb, the vibe is awesome, and i LOVE the gauntlet iv influence
idk its just a 10/10 for me lmao i love it so much
Joy! This is great
Those lion king drums haha
I came here to say it would be cool if this could be patched into Air and then i saw someone say it can. Brilliant
Never stop creating holy shit, I hope to make music as cool as you one day
Nice that we have all the jingles now, was wondering where they were. Still prefer Invincibility V1 though, anywhere I can find that?
Edit: The Sonic 3 "Complete" Alternate OST mod on the ProBoards never said there was an act clear AND/OR a game over alternative!!! WHAT?😮
i chose to drop the first version of invincibility because it honestly was too hyper for my tastes. was horribly mixed as well
i went more lowkey referencing virtua racing deluxe since a lot of sonic rom hacks use that ost along with other smps osts for music porting, the title screen leitmotif sprinkled in there more subtly too
@@johntayjinfNeither the old or new ones loop correctly in game (sonic 3 air mod)
2:52 I imagine a raccoon rubbing his hands while planning an evil plan with this theme
Doomsday is still one of your finest works
Mushroom Hill themes is always my favorites along all this channel, I hope you have a long succesful way ❤🔥
Gorgeous Work
YOOOO LETS GOOOOOO 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
so cool to have the whole ost in one video
we are so back
Absolute 🔥
Bro using the melody from Forces Classic Sonic Boss Theme for this to make two absolute banger boss tracks? You guys are incredible 🎉
54:20 i was like hey this sounds familiar and I realized it was the bonus theme from TT16B lol
“Haha Jonathan! You were bangin with this ost!”
knuckles jumpscare
Also congratulations on getting your channel back!🎉
DUDEEEEEE OH MY GODDDDDDDD THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER OH MY GOD AA. AAAVWGWHWHWVWE I LOVE THIS THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
HELL YEA
Worlds best album..
Heck yes!
I like it!
57:42 Sonic is finally out of lives.
Now can you stop killing him, John?
God mushroom hill is absolute perfection
8:30 In the mor- in the mor- in the morning!
