    Glad to see you were successful! The wife is reluctant in the idea of moving to Mexico. So I remind her that the day she is gone, that I would definitely move to Mexico. I love the country, especially Puerto Vallarta and Loreto.

    Not quite: you have 30 days from entering thr cohntry *to get an appointment with the INM*, not to get finalized. 4:08

    • @Morelifediaries
      @Morelifediaries  2 месяца назад

      They unfortunately don’t do appointments anymore (I think they did for a little bit during Covid) so you have to show up nice and early and get the process over with lol

    Hey guys! Congrats on your renewal! My husband and I are in Merida right now to get our temporary residency. Our appointment at INM is tomorrow. Fingers crossed 🤞. We also hired a facilitator to help out and are REALLY glad we did. Take care, love the content!!

      Thanks fingers crossed :) I'm sure it will be smooth with a facilitator

    I went with a facilitator for my initial card, and will also use a facilitator when I renew. I'm able to pay the costs, so I'm outsourcing when I can - I don't have any dependents, it's just me. And yes, the differences between offices is definitely a thing!

    • @Morelifediaries
      @Morelifediaries  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes a facilitator is definitely recommended. It gets very costly for a family of 4 since we have to pay per individual and thats another factor why it was important for us to learn the process.

    Pretty crazy! I have heard very different experiences in Mazatlan! Hopefully, we have a good experience, but it will be probably another year. I know, not great, because the requirements just keep going up. Glad you guys are all done! At least for another year?! Take care!

    This is very helpful. We are tackling renewal in 5 weeks in PV. We have chosen again to use a facilitator that we used initially to get our residency. I guess we got lucky last year as we were only there until about 11:00 and had cards in hand. Good to know that we should prepare for a longer day possibly. Our facilitator is charging 4000 pesos to wait in line for us so we don't have to show up until 8:30. I think using a facilitator is really the way to go with this. I wouldn't want to go back multiple times and deal with frustration. It's really crazy how much paperwork there is. Would love to see a video on how it goes with getting your RFC.

    • @Morelifediaries
      @Morelifediaries  2 месяца назад

      Ya it's honestly a lot of work NOT to use a facilitator but I was committed to learning the process LOL Sounds good I'm going next week to get my RFC so we'll do a video on what that is and that process.

      Hola
      Got my residence card at the same INM Nayarit building. I also used a facilitator, he was there at 5:30 a.m., sixth in line.
      I show up at 6:00 a.m. waiting for the office to open at 9:00.
      They were handing out slips with numbers, was told only 25 opening per day. The staff was short that day and didn't receive my residence card till after lunch.
      All good, but now will be renewing again this June! 🤦‍♂️😁

    I did my renewal on my own and would advise everyone to NOT do this. Because I didn't have a Mexican facilitator, I was treated differently than those who HAD one. They required all my bank documents for the past year, just like when I had initially applied in Canada.
    Wow!
    Now, I realize that this is PART of how the system here works. You pay the facilitators for a reason.
    When in Rome.
    Facilitators are different prices everywhere cheaper in the countryside, for sure. But it's really not that much... 200-400$...
    And ya, I speak Spanish and I noticed the people in the office didn't slow down at all; it was almost like a test!
    Go to smaller town to not spend all day in the office. But then that would require yet another address change.
    Painful just remembering. Ughg

    • @Morelifediaries
      @Morelifediaries  2 месяца назад

      Thank you for sharing your experience. I noticed that facilitators get the preferential treatment because they all know each other. Our experience in Nuevo Nayarit was not great and the lady gave us wrong information wheras in PV the lady was helpful for once and the second day the lady was very nice and patient. But yes, if you have the money I would definitely recommend a faciliator.

      Hola!
      It took me two months before I got an appointment at the Toronto consultant.
      The consulate doesn't take phone calls, only email applications!
      Make sure you have all your financial paperwork sent with your application, otherwise they will not issue an appointment.
      I would email them every ten days just to keep my file active. Once they approved my appointment, I was at the consulate the following week.
      Had the interview appointment at 9:30 a.m., was told to come back at 1:30 p.m. to see if I was approved.
      Walked out that day with my residence visa in my passport! 🎉🥳

    I think the reason for not accepting new appointments for residency in Canada, is all political.
    Canadian government asking Mexicans for a Visa, and the lack of response from the Canadian government to the break in of the Mexican embassy in Ecuador.
    Then again, who knows 🤷‍♂️

    • @Morelifediaries
      @Morelifediaries  2 месяца назад +1

      You said it not me!!! 😂 I honestly think you’re exactly right! There seems to be a lot of friction between both governments right now. I also think it’ll have a major impact on the Canadian food supply if farmers don’t get the seasonal help they desperately need! Gov is also beefing with farmers so 🤷🏻‍♂️
