The phone slot should definitely be where the left cup holder is because if there is something in it your arm hits it when trying to control the radio and the passenger is always resting their arm on your phone
This video was perfect for me. My rubber band fell off. I just needed to know how to get in there. I actually don’t mind the design. I use it a lot to fit my entire family in the truck.
Yeah, I think this console center is the silliest design. It was after I bought it when I realized the center cover doesn't flip up like my previous F-150 bench seat in my 2010. The arm rest is very soft, however. It's comfortable at least.
My 2018 F150 XL had that same jump seat. I swapped it out for one that has the lower storage along with storage under the armrest. My 2019 F150 XLT came with the jump seat that has both storage compartments. Hope you find a set up that works better for you.
The console headrest comes off on my 2019 XLT, but was kinda hard getting the release buttons depressed. Mine also has compartment under the armrest, so there could be some other differences.
What did you end up doing? I found someone on the f150 forums that said they were able to buy the center jump seat back with the storage in it for like $200. I haven’t been able to find the correct part # yet though. I habe an xl with this same setup but vinyl and the storage under the jump seat is too inaccessible to be useful
@@johnrizzato9192 I found the back cushion for the center seat, all of the various versions of color and material, so you can order that. Search on ford parts for "Seat Back Cushion Cover - Front" but I still need to find the part#s for the storage section, etc. I'm trying to find the interior work surface one myself
I wish I knew how to edit this video and add stuff to it instead of just stopping it. It would be nice to be able to start videoing on your iPhone pause it and start it again to continue videoing
@@johnrizzato9192 when you order it my guy. Its an extra $295, its a seating option and it gives you a console instead of your standard flip up seat. It's only available in supercab or crewcab. So its NOT an option on a 2 door f150. You can get a console and install it yourself. There's videos on that.
@@bloodshotjoker8376 I’ve looked for videos on the 2022 super crew that I have but I’ve been unlucky so far. They are either not my model, trim or year one on or the other. Thanks.
@@bloodshotjoker8376 i know for the ‘21 model year on an XL which I have on certain options you couldn’t get storage in the back of the jump seat. It looks like they have changed it to be a standard thing for ‘23
@Beardedcap 🤣👍 bro it's all optional. You have to pick the trim level you want. Your dealer, A didnt show you the options or b you didn't see the tab. I built mine online, and this is all optional. You have to pay more for the storage. It's not bad design, it's knowing what you want and ordering it. If your dealer said it doesn't exist he lied to you to sell you a truck he had in stocks 😳
My 2019 f150 had top and bottom storage loved it. My 2018 and 2011 was like yours.

Thanks James. Where did you get the one you swapped your original out for?
I’m about to do the same thing, ordering the seat with the top opening arm rest on eBay. Whole seat and setup is 300$

I really wish you had a follow up video.
What did you end up doing? I have a reg cab bench too and would like to change it out. Trying to figure out if buckets will work

Actually, I gave up looking because I couldn’t find a replacement seat. Please let me know if you find out. Thanks.

I have the same seat/console in a reg cab... it doesn't even fold back all the way, drives me nuts. Dumb.

Why didn't you just buy the trim package you wanted? Lol 😆 👍
Were they an option on the 2022?
