I think for the 36 set it would be more beneficial if they included some grays instead of the metallics. Then, I feel like it would be the perfect set to buy for those who don’t want a full set.
Agreed…I was surprised to find those metallics in there, but I am eager to use them. I have never really put them to serious good use so I guess we shall see if something new and exciting happens in my sketch book over the next few months.
Now after seeing this I think it would be the most beneficial for everyone wanting a set to go to an art store and picking from individual pencils and putting a set together themselves. Also I don't need a new box all the time.
@@ladyinblack3398 my set of 36 was only $20. So even though it would be ideal to curate my own set, it would probably have cost at least twice as much! I’m happy with it for now. I may write down the colors I feel I really need and buy some of those individually.
Jennifer you can glue your small pencil to a new one back end to back end and use the small side of the pencil and you can just keep sharing down to the new one and you will have used the whole pencil.
When I got your email that you were "retiring" your Prismacolors, I almost fell out! I'm like how in the world could you ever retire some of the best pencils ever made? But now, after having seen the video, I totally get it. You scared me, Jennifer! I'm so excited for you. I can't wait to see what inspiration you draw from your stash. I know it will be awesome!
I have had great success with my long point vertical electric sharpener as i like to do soft shading with the side of a long core prismacolor premier range. It outs no stress in the core and i have way less breakages now if any…
Hello Jennifer, I have been watching and enjoying your videos for a while now. I love your excitement and enthusiasm, which makes me want to get my pencils out and just colour anything. It is very cool the way you swatched these pencils. No more boring squares! Thank you for sharing.
Just ordered my first set of Prismacolor Premier...also ordered their pencil sharpener...hoping I don't encounter alot of breakage but I really want to try them.
I have a set of the vintage "Barol Prismacolors" that we found that belonged to my mother in law after she passed. That's what they were called before they changed the name. Same pencil but better quality. God Bless!
Loved the leaf swatches!!! Enjoyed your video. I have the 36 set. They are very good pencils. I feel like I want to swatch my new ohhu pastel makers like your leaves.😍🤗
Just what I need, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I've 120 set of Polychromos which I love, Prismacolor 150 set would have been my first option but I live in Spain and here is so complicated to buy a single pencil of Prismacolor but I want to have a more range of colours so recently a friend told me about an online shop in my country with open stock of Prismacolor and I'm going to buy some to complete my Polychromos. Thank you so much for all of your tips and everything!!!!.
Hello! You got me so curious about that store that sells open stock of Prismacolor pencils, can you tell me the name? Because I'm in Portugal and that could be very handfull! Gracias!
The 36 colors in your tri-tone set is just brilliant! Do you have other color wheels for the rest of the pencils in the 150 set? Similar to the light, medium and dark color wheels for the 36 colors in the tri-tone set.
Thanks for the 36 list. I've just sent in my request. I was sat here watching you whilst colouring with my 24 set! I have the 150 set and almost never use them because they overwhelm me. The 24 set is good and I can complete many pictures with it, but a curated 36 set is intriguing. I'm looking forward to filling it in and using it.
I never had prismacolors...i think they perform really well, but what holds me back is that these pencils tend to break a lot, because of their quality control issues and wood casing and on the other hand many colors are not very lightfast, so i stick with other wax based pencils, my luminance and derwent drawing
True green is my nemesis. I’m always challenging myself to find something beautiful about it. I finally did find one combination I like a lot. Trying to find more
I love your videos, and I adore and love Rose. She is so pretty, and her face is so sweet. I find her to be soothing to my heart and spirit. Please, let her know how wonderful she is.
There seems to be a new set of Prismacolor , called "Prismacolor Watercolor Pencil" (36 pieces tin has a painting of a man surfing); how are these different from Premier Colored Pencils (36 pcs tin has a painting of a tiger)? Thanks much for any help.
I love the way you swatched these. It's very cool how you retired your previous set! When I get a new set of prismas, I use my heat tool and heat the cores all around, then set them aside to cool. I've never had a breaking problem.
That’s a very interesting idea. There are so many different heating hacks I’ve heard but this is the first time I’ve heard of using a heat gun. Thanks for sharing.
Have you ever done a review between the Amazon Basics and the Prismacolor Premiers? I saw an amazing comparison done by Claire in Color with Claire a few hours ago when she colored half a butterfly with Prismas and the other half with Amazon Basics. I couldn't tell the which side was the Prismas and which was the Amazons until she told us how!
I have the extenders too and my original 1997yr set of 24 some that are less that 1.5" I have 2 sets of 12 And then my 150 ct set that I use at home. many times I have purchased replacements..
I’m considering hanging the whole pencil roll on my wall like a piece of art. I have a bunch of other ideas too, but that one sounds the most fun right now. 😊
I've just find that video so I MUST share with you with a tip: do you know there are special devices for extending pencils/pastels etc.? * You can also use old pens, that type which consists of two parts, that twistable ones. I've prolonged life of many of my expensive/favourite pencils that way! * I've found English name - it's called stifthalter/pencilextender, many art supplies brands have similar in their offer.
Lol my kind of girl! I thought I was the only one who made her husband carry a heavy book bag (purse) with all my stuff the journal, bible, journal supplies (pens, highlighters, stickers, flags, etc) make-up, water, tea, etc. 😁
Ha ha, I figured there had to a twist somewhere! I started off with a tin of 12 Prismas two or three years ago, because I wanted to know what all the fuss was about, but didn't want to outlay a lot of money on something i might not like. This year I bought the set of 72 and really love the variety. Don't think I could justify 120, although it would be fun playing with them😀 So my original 12 (what's left of them) are still in their original tin and are in reserve for when the new ones wears out🙂.
So question… is their still a quality issue. So upset. I got a new 12 pack to use on the go… ugh the brand new red pencil is already way short as I had to sharpen it and the core kept falling out. Frustrating.
My dear friend, today I am writing you about the Brutfuner colours pencils which you had already done a vidéo about a comparative study! Would you telling me if I am wrong, but I noticed some pencils are more waxy in dark tones and some are more oily in light tones. Would you please to compare some numbers of these colours pencils (079 vs, 057, 088 vs 095, 043 vs 099, 057 vs 013) to check, if it due to my hands which are maybe too handicapped and damaged with Reumatoid Arthritis to feel adequately the right pressure on these pencils or it is due the manufactured misfits ? An answer from you would be very appreciated it, Tk, keep being inspired with a lot of passion!
Danyel you are probably correct. Even in the Prismacolor set there are pencils that feel and perform more oily then waxy. I wish I had time to compare those pencils for you, but I am swamped right now. May I suggest you post this question to our community page on Facebook (links in the video). There are some extremely talented and knowledgeable people there that can help you puzzle this art mystery out. Good luck and have fun!
@@ColoringBliss Tky so much for your kindness enough to answer me up to now by giving me an another source of reference in order to find out an appropriate answer, bc due to fact that your too busy, sorry for the inconvenience, see you around my dear Jennifer for a next one!
You never know when you’re going to have an art emergency!! 😂😂 Everyone needs a set of art supplies like this. In all seriousness though…you’d be surprised how often this set of pencils and sketch book get pulled out and used to calm an upset toddler or help pass a boring afternoon when you get stuck at the car mechanic or doctor unexpectedly. Or what about those long dinner parties at your extended family’s home that JUST WON’T END?! All art emergencies that my supplies have saved me from. 😉
I wonder if you could help me with something, I have had the 150 box PRISMACOLOR pencils delivered today baught from Amazon ,I’m in the UK, the Color chart on the back of the box is stuck on rather than factory printed onto the actual box, there are some of the pencils that don’t have the Mexico brand on the pencil also, I have paid £199 UK sterling , I am concerned that they maybe fake, I contacted Amazon they gave me a link to contact prisma which is impossible to do from my country as it asks for zip code and phone number which is not recognised by them, I would appreciate some help …. Thank you
Gotta love new pencils! I don’t find the metallic pencils in any brand useful, so, if it was me, I’d take them out and put your drawing pencil & pen in instead. But that’s just me! 🥰 Haven’t you got the 150 set of pencils? So you would have already experienced colour 926? Did you include it as part of your Tri-tones?
It seemed obvious to me (and I would think it should to others who have followed you at all for even a short amount time) that this was just a cute way to get our attention and to be sure to tune in. Lighten up people and consider your source (if it is someone you "know, like, and trust").
Hi again. Another question for you...a more sensible one this time :) What case is it that you are using to hold your 'special' 36 color set? I have the 120 or 150-ish set of the Prismacolors, but I'd like to break them down into something more reasonably organized than the monster case that I have them in now. I've been hunting Amazon looking for a zippered case with the elastics that hold the 3 pencils together, but am finding no joy. I can go with the single slotted ones but even when I search for a 48 count binder it leads me to rolls or to huge cases. If the brand you have there is still available I'd love to pick one up. Thanks :)
I am using the global art cases…they are my favorite for my best pencils (upcoming videos will show them more). My Prismacolor pencil collection is currently housed in 2 cases so I can spread them out. 1 case holds the 36 I use the most plus more and the other holds the rest plus my Verithins. I believe I have a video here on this channel that shows how I organize them…I think it’s called “the best way to organize Prismacolor pencils” or something like that. Good luck and have fun organizing 😊
@@ColoringBliss Thanks. I did a search on your channel for 36 prismacolors and found the organizing vid you did back in 2016 so I am hunting that brand down now. I appreciate your answer so quickly :)
P.S. Don’t throw away and buy new when your Micron pen is “empty” or dry......you can just pull the nib with tweezers (if it’s still writing good) and then just refill with cheap India/Bombay ink which is waterproof and permanent! 🤗🤗🤗 P.S. TY for the colour chart... I was thinking I wanted prismas so I gotta get a set that works 🤗🤗🤗 P.P.S. I think I would take out that red and green and add a light and dark grey 🤗🤗
Good for you Jennifer, I too just received my new 36 Prismacolor Premier! THEY ARE SWEET! "CLICK BAIT" for advertising is SMART!... I have to admit when I first saw the advertisement for this upcoming video... I thought to myself... NO WAY ARE THEY GONNA GET RID OF PRISMACOLORS?...LOL! Obviously I had to watch! Sending big LUVnHUGZ to You, Steve and Rose! -Rita Donnelly
Thanks for your feedback and I’m excited to hear that you are enjoying your 36 set. I am excited especially about having those metallic pencils in my emergency pencil set. What new techniques and designs will I create because they are there?!?!
@@ColoringBliss Jennifer, YOU are too cute. This small set is great for me when on the go! I have the whole set in my Scrap Shack, OF COURSE! LUVnHUGZ, Rita Donnelly
I really love this title, it's so clever. It's perfect tactic to " lure" some new viewers :) Watching your channel makes me smile so much I wish you had more subscribers so they can catch that positivity and creativity too. Also I'm wondering did You ever tried the Kalour Soft Touch color pencils (180 is in a red tin with a deer on the front) or Giotto Stilnovo pencils? I compared them with Prismacolor Premier and I would say they are preety similar and sort of waxy. In Europe they are also a lot cheaper than Prismas :)
Hehe it’s called “clickbait”. Of course not done maliciously, as Jennifer and Steve are too sweet for that. ❤️ Is it the Giotti or the Kalour you are saying are like Prisma? I’m in the UK and Giotti are easy to pickup in The Range
@@ArtJourneyUK I would say Giotto Stilnovo and Kalour Soft are pretty similar and waxy just like Prismacolor but they're not identical and not so smooth. I also use them mostly for drawing portraits, pets and less for coloring. Maybe try one of them in smaller set and see for yourself because we all have different preferences, skills etc. Kalour are a bit softer, I just prefer Stilnovo because they were my first set of color pencils and over time on nice paper I started to love them.
I knew better, I wondered what is she up to? 😅 On another note: am I seeing things or is Arteza selling pencils open stock on Amazon? Can you check on this. I see watercolor and wax pencils on a 3 pc for $5.99.
You guys are too funny and I love the videos, I am a newbie to coloring and I have gotten a wealth of information from you. I went on your site to purchase some items but am having issues, is their a number we can call like a support line.💖💖
You scared me with the email stating that you were retiring your PC’s. Glad to know what you truly meant!! Cheeky 😉! Don’t you hate it when your organizer needs one or two more places to be perfect? I would need a graphite pencil and a stick click eraser. Btw, I really liked how you swatched these!
I forgot to add that I like my pencil extenders. I bought a set of 5 so I can leave them on the stubs cause I hate to have to change them while I’m coloring.
Jennifer and Steve, I have 2 sets of the 150 and the prisma water color pencils and the verithins also 2 sets of the 72 sets. I would love to send Jennifer one of the sets. Do y’all have any of the extra sets. Could you please give me an address to send them to. An email would be great. Thanks, Jo Ellzey

Can’t say that I’m very happy seeing you guys using clickbait for advertising like this. Very upsetting to see this from you guys, I just never expected it from my most down to earth, favorite coloring people
Thanks for sharing your feelings on our title/thumbnail. As we try to grow our channel and get more views, we are trying to find clever ways to entice people to watch and engage with our content. The main way I have to do this is through the titles/thumbnails. Yes, this is more “clickbait” then most that we use, but unlike other channels, I do not feel like we are misleading or not delivering valuable content that was promised (clickbait on the other side of the spectrum outright lies, manipulates, and wastes the time of the viewer…this is something we never want to do). Instead, we are trying to spark curiosity and encourage a new audience to discover us. The current path we are on (and have been trying for many years) is not being rewarded by the RUclips algorithm, so a change needs to be made in order to keep Coloring Bliss growing and profitable as a way to support our family. We are not sure what that change will ultimately look like, but experimenting with intriguing titles and thumbnails is a good place to start.
I have seen channels with millions of subscribers using clickbait, admittedly that is the reason why I popped in, but I really don't think it does much harm, people need to earn a living and the competition is cruelly unfair. Had it been for a serious matter then I would react as you have.
I do!! It is mostly in the form of very colorful notes on the sermons and lessons decorated with doodles and sketches. It helps me focus and remember the messages being shared. 😊❤️
With the Prismacolors due to the flat end you can glue the stub to the end of the new pencil and use the full pencil , no waste
I did something similar, but instead glued the colorless blender to a wooden dowel (that I cut down to be the right length). I was able to keep using/sharpening the blender until the whole stub itself was maybe half an inch tall.
Brilliant! Thank you!
Keep a small zip lock baggie in with your book for the shavings

P.S. TY for the colour chart... I was thinking I wanted prismas so I gotta get a set that works 🤗🤗🤗
P.P.S. I think I would take out that red and green and add a light and dark grey 🤗🤗
I must be an odd ball! True green and carmine red are some of my most used colors.
Good to know! I hope that having them in this case together will give me lots of opportunities to play with them.
Is it the Giotti or the Kalour you are saying are like Prisma? I’m in the UK and Giotti are easy to pickup in The Range
@@ArtJourneyUK I would say Giotto Stilnovo and Kalour Soft are pretty similar and waxy just like Prismacolor but they're not identical and not so smooth. I also use them mostly for drawing portraits, pets and less for coloring.
Maybe try one of them in smaller set and see for yourself because we all have different preferences, skills etc.
Kalour are a bit softer, I just prefer Stilnovo because they were my first set of color pencils and over time on nice paper I started to love them.
Your nails are fabulous!
Thank you ❤️
I knew better, I wondered what is she up to? 😅
On another note: am I seeing things or is Arteza selling pencils open stock on Amazon?
Hello beautiful Jennifer. You are retiring Prismas??????
Um…why not go up to 120? You’re using them!
Very informative....
Pls give me the retired PC set
Just get a Dahle 133 table sharpener. No more breakage.
Keep up the awesome videos 😊
Thanks 😊
Your welcome 😊
I wish "prisma color premier" would make a artist quality wax based soft core "Metallic" full range of color pencils.
OH! I like that idea! I'd love a metallic sky blue color. Perfect addition to put some bling into a stormy sky picture.
I love your creative swatching!!!
Retirement Party?!!! So, who gets the gold watch? :)
A gold watch for each of the 24 pencils!! 😂❤️
If you’re a Prismacolor girl, why do you don’t buy the 150 colours pencils which it is so fun to have with 120 colours pencils set of Polychromos! My God, would feel in the heaven! I love to see your doodles in your Canson Mix-media!
I have MANY Prismacolor sets including the full set. Check out my other videos to see all the different ways I put my many different colored pencil sets to work at home, in my studio, and while I’m away from home.
@@ColoringBliss Sorry, my bad intervention which it is evident that I didn’t watch all your videos even though I saw them all mostly! I constate now the way you are using them differently!. Sorry again Jennifer, continuing to get inspired in to present us others interesting videos and technical tutorials! God blessings you both!
💜💜💜tfs💜💜💜
I have a “purse” as well 😉
Can’t say that I’m very happy seeing you guys using clickbait for advertising like this.
😪💔I can't believe what I'm reading..WHAT Could take them away from you?? My all time FAVORITE too.... I'LL Be watching to see.. love ya sweets..🙏🤟‼
I hope you enjoyed the video 😂❤️ Prismacolor girl forever!!
Knew you would never stop using Prismacolors.
.... "you color in church"? 😂😂😂😂😂
I do!! It is mostly in the form of very colorful notes on the sermons and lessons decorated with doodles and sketches. It helps me focus and remember the messages being shared. 😊❤️
Seriously go for 150
Regálamelo 🥲🤣
🙏🎨💔
OK the promotional on this was complete and unadulterated "click bait". Very disappointed in you for this promotional.
😞
